Special Update – Lake Lure Reopening
Lake Lure is officially open following Hurricane Helene, and normal lake use has resumed! Previous lakewide no-wake restrictions have been lifted, so guests can once again enjoy boating and time on the water while continuing to follow all posted no-wake zones, boating guidelines, and local lake rules.

Chimney Rock businesses are also open and ready to welcome visitors back. This is a wonderful time to return to the area, enjoy the lake, explore Chimney Rock, and support the local businesses and communities that make this region so special. Please note that public docks remain closed at this time. Guests who would like to get out on the water can rent boats through Yonder, with delivery available for lakefront homes or pickup available at the southernmost point of the lake.

"Our stay at Rosewater Cottage exceeded every expectation! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spotless, welcoming, and beautifully maintained everything was. Rosewater Cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The location is fantastic—easy to get to, close to great restaurants and local attractions, yet peaceful enough to truly disconnect. We especially loved the porch views of the lake and mountains, which made every morning and evening feel special. The home is incredibly comfortable, with cozy beds and tasteful decor throughout. Every detail reflects the care and pride the owners have put into creating a memorable experience. If you're looking for a beautiful waterfront escape, I can't recommend Rosewater Cottage highly enough. We can't wait to come back!

Luxury Lake Retreat

"Rosewater Cottage exceeds our expectations every time we visit! The location right on the water is absolutely incredible—peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The huge, expansive screened-in porch is our favorite spot. We spend hours enjoying the views, sipping coffee in the morning, and winding down in the evenings without ever worrying about bugs. Outside, the massive party deck is fantastic! Whether you’re lounging in the sun, gathering around the fire pit at night, or simply soaking in the lake views, there’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. So fun to watch the boats float by! We also have a blast playing pool! Rosewater Cottage is a luxury lake retreat. It's beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, well maintained, has excellent high speed fiber optic wifi, and absolutely gorgeous waterfront and mountain views. It is a special property for reconnecting with family and friends. We always can’t wait to come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect waterfront getaway!

"Our stay at Rosewater Cottage was delightful! This adorable cottage is tucked away and private, but also conveniently located. The owner provided clear and easy instructions to get into the house. The entire property was clean and welcoming! The waterfront views make this place one of a kind. It is so easy to be comfortable and relax at the Rosewater cottage!

Perfect Hosue

"The house was perfect for our family of 9. The kids loved the paddleboards and the high dive. We are glad we brought along our lifejackets and floats for hanging out in the lake. There is a sandy entry which was perfect for the littles. When we arrived, the A/C wasn't working correctly, but they had it fixed the next day. The only thing I would suggest to the homeowner: please have the boat house (top and bottom) sprayed for wasps. We sprayed 2 nests while we were there. A word of caution: There are at least 50 steps from the parking area to the house and no handrails. This is stated in the description of the house though. We were extremely happy that there were no steps from the bottom floor of the house to the top of boat dock and only 10 steps or so to the bottom of the boat house. The kitchen is extremely well stocked!!! Plenty of plates, bowls, silverware, pots, etc.We rented a boat through Yonder and highly recommend renting though them. The boat was delivered to our house early and picked up the next morning. We had the best time exploring the lake.

"We absolutely loved our stay at Rosewater Cottage on beautiful Lake Lure! The accommodations were exceptional—spotlessly clean, incredibly spacious, and featured a fantastic Chef’s kitchen. We spent our evenings playing pool and relaxing on the amazing outdoor decks, which offer stunning views of the lake. Tucked away in a private cul-de-sac, it felt like a true retreat. "Alluring Lake Cottage is an absolutely beautiful house and wonderful location. The cottage is light and bright with gorgeous views of the lake from both levels. The beds are extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and provided everything that we needed for our 3 nights of gourmet meals and fun! I love the artwork/photography and the attention paid to design details. We spent most of our time outside on the deck and in the water. The paddle boards provided hours of entertainment! We loved every minute of our brief stay! We will have to plan for a longer trip next time!!!

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

"We really enjoyed our stay here. It was picturesque being right on the water with paddleboards and a kayak that we used to their fullest. We would definitely stay again. The internet connection is really bad but we were grateful for that as the kids stayed in the lake most of the time.

Slice of Heaven!

"We've rented many houses in Lake Lure, but this was by far the best! Very clean, tastefully decorated, fully stocked kitchen, and fantastic outdoor space! The seating above the boathouse was perfect - and what a view. Easy entry into the water, complete with paddle boards and floats. We also really enjoyed the spacious verandah off the main floor with table, lounge chairs and hammock. Kitchen was fantastic, and the pool table was a great bonus! There was plenty of room for us to spread out and do as we pleased. The home was generously stocked with towels and household supplies. The staff at Yonder were terrific and very responsive from our first contact to the last. We will be back! Dream vacation, check!
