Location: Laurelgate is a private estate home, majestically situated on 75 gated acres, overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, and located right outside downtown Hendersonville. The home is also located less than 35 minutes from downtown Asheville. You are app. 25 minutes to Asheville Regional airport, and 30 minutes to the gates of Biltmore Estate. You are also app. 5 minutes from everything in Hendersonville & Flat Rock, and easy access to just about everything in the area.

From the second you drive into the private gate the views are captivating and the wildlife is amazing. The cathedral height entry with living and dining area is accented by 2-story stone fireplace overlooking the mountains. The kitchen and breakfast nook also take full advantage of the majestic Smokey Mountain views. Come create the experience of a lifetime! Every aspect of this 9500+ sq. ft. home is spectacular and designed for comfortable family living. The master wing includes an executive home office/library/sitting room. The second floor master bedroom and bath over-looks the Great Room, with more incredible mountain views. The family wing includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms. On the lower level is a Game Room complete with pool table, bar room, big screen TV sport room, card table, and full bath. On this unique property, there is also a rustic cabin (no plumbing,) a petting zoo hosting donkeys and goats, a fishing pond, magical walking paths, putting greens, covered picnic area and tennis/basketball court.

This home is privately secured with a full-time caretaker and is just five minutes to Downtown Hendersonville and less than thirty minutes to Asheville Regional Airport. You are just minutes from America’s favorite scenic byway, The Blue Ridge Parkway, motorcycle touring, biking, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, Segway tour…just about any outdoor activity! Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

Pets: The owners WILL allow dogs on a case by case basis. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $130 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party.

"This property is amazing!! The best equipped kitchen Ive ever cooked in. Great space for lots of adults to enjoy time together and big enough to have private time. The outdoors of this property are nearly as awesome as the house itself. This was our second time here. The entertaining area of this house is perfect for limited mobility. The views all across the back of this house are incredible. Caretakers are also amazing people and very helpful.

Great House for a Family Reunion

"We rented the house for a family reunion, and it was perfect. It works for multiple generations and has plenty of room for the kids and their dogs. The property is unusual because there is a fulltime caretaker that handles the little issues. They decorated it for the 4th of July holiday, and it was over the top. When we told them that our 18-month-old grandchild will be in the group they had highchairs and cribs all set up for him. Excellent experience!

Old fashioned Thanksgiving

"Our whole family -- 12 in all -- grandmother, grown children & spouses, grandchildren -- congregated at Laurelgate for an old-fashioned Thanksgiving. It was freezing cold (we're from Florida - we loved it), with stories around the fire, walks in the woods, visits to the barnyard animals, and a gigantic kitchen with every imaginable cooking device where we could all prepare the turkey. The house was wonderful, with ample room for everyone, and the owners had even lavishly decorated it for the holiday. We got a kick out of the various themes -- we counted 40 chickens in the kitchen alone and gave up after realizing even the silverware had chickens! It is the perfect place for a family gathering and I would easily go again!

"Wonderful stay at Laurelgate to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. It was so helpful to have the caretakers on site for the few questions we had. Definitely recommended and would return. The kids loved the goats and donkeys!

"This is a beautifully designed and well maintained property that is great for a multi-generation family vacation on a 75 acre tract of land. The owners have every amenity for their own family; it is a treat they will share it. While there's a lot to do in the area, it's hard to leave because of what this secluded property offers. Our family ranges from 1 to 73 in age and we all loved it.

"This well designed and maintained 75 acre property is perfect for a multi-generational family. The views are great. the recreation amenities - game room, pool table, popcorn machine, tennis court, half basketball court, horseshoe pit, farm animals fishing pond, hot tub - are great. The kitchen is great and very well stocked. The family and television rooms work perfectly. In short, the owners have built a wonderful retreat for their family. Fortunately for the rest of us, they share it.

Truly Special Place

"We had the pleasure of renting the Laurelgate house in October 2019. This house is truly a special place as it is the house where we raised our 6 kids. Of course some things have changed since we lived there but the feeling of the place and the spectacular environment was just like we remembered. It was truly a treat for our grown kids and their families to visit their old home and share this special place with our grandchildren. In all of Hendersonville, NC you couldn’t ask for a nicer, more accommodating, well-furnished and thoughtful home to vacation in. It’s a perfect spot for large groups and families. There’s plenty of space for everyone. Our kids and grandkids loved it! - Tom and Sue Fazio P.S. We plan to revisit Laurelgate again in the not too distant future. In fact I am telling all my friends about it - such a GREAT place and very reasonably priced, especially for the quality and amenities.

Getting away from Dorian

"We left Florida to avoid Hurricane Dorian, with family and our dog. Laurelgate Estate was a great place to wait out the storm. It is massive, well decorated with wonderful views and the kitchen has everything you need to cook and eat in. We used the tennis court and got plenty of exercise around the property. The Master doesn't have blinds, so we were up early every morning. Would love to stay there again.
