"We stayed at the EASTMOOR RETREAT in Fairview, NC. It was a cozy, clean and fantastic place to unwind in the Mountains near Asheville. The bunks for the kids were perfect for them to find their own space, with a little arcade table and foosball downstairs. Loved the amenities, including the Yonder coffee, gas grill, spa, and fire table. It was convenient to all the surrounding happenings, with a couple coffee shops and home-grown local breweries near by. In fact, this area has quite a few local breweries to try. The drive to Asheville is easy, as well as Chimney Rock. Overall, just the chance to visit the quiet, and relax in a traditional cabin setting with space for everyone to spread out, was a great summer vacation spot.

A Little Piece of Paradise

"Eastmoor Retreat is a little piece of paradise tucked just minutes outside downtown Asheville. We love visiting this area for the peacefulness and the spaciousness of this 4 bedroom cabin, equipped with game room and wrap around porch as well as a hot tub. Plus we can bring our dogs since it's pet-friendly!

"My family and I always go to the Asheville area for Fall Break and this was our first time renting this place and it was fantastic! We had 6 adults and 2 kids and the home fit us all comfortably. The home was pristine, spotless clean and had all the amenities you would need - plenty of toiletries, coffee pods, dish and laundry detergents, hand soap, fixing for s’mores, etc. The hot tub was nice and smelled of chlorine so I can only assume it was also very clean. The location is extremely convenient to downtown Asheville, breweries and restaurants. The games in the basement were tons of fun for all to enjoy and the kids room with bunk beds was very comfortable and stocked with kids books and games, which is unique to vacation rentals and a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend and would definitely rent again!

"The location was easy to find. Upon entering we were “met” by a Christmas card and a surprise pecan pie. That was a thoughtful treat. House was clean and spacious. The Christmas tree was beautiful and another nice surprise!

"Stayed here with another family for my sister’s wedding weekend. The double bunk room was loved by the kids! They also loved the hot tub and the separate game room downstairs where they spent most of the time. We weren’t fond of the taste of the well water so we’d recommend bringing bottled water.

Lovely Cabin, Close to Hiking & Asheville

"Super fun and cute cabin. Our family really enjoyed our stay here. Kitchen had everything we needed (we love to cook while on vacay); the grill was good quality and worked well; the kids loved the arcade games and basketball standard. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful; we loved sitting outside. Great hikes and the city of Asheville were both within 15-20 minutes. The only drawback in the cabin was the lack of a bathroom in the basement level - which is where the king bedroom is. 6 of us were sharing the main level bathroom, which got a little inconvenient, especially in the middle of the night when us “older folks” had to hike up the basement stairs to use it. I would also suggest some more towel hooks in that bathroom - if it’s meant for up to 8 people to share, it should accommodate more than 2 towels…

"What a great vacation spot for a family or a group! We had everything we needed to have a great time during our 7 day stay: fire table for s’mores, crystal clear hot tub, huge BBQ grill, game room. Most importantly, the open-air layout allowed us to just hang out together. Very convenient to Downtown AVL as well as several area hikes — and had an EV charger in the garage. And private - we couldn’t even see the neighbors. Host was super-helpful with quick answers when we needed them. We can’t wait to come back!

"We stayed at Eastmoor Retreat before shipping out to Germany for 3 years. It was a very nice home will all the amenities to keep both adults and kids entertained at the same time. We loved all the rooms and the provider kept the house in great status while we stayed there. The fire table and hot tub was a personal favorite for everyone followed by the downstairs den with the arcade table and foosball table. The beds and couches were especially comfortable and there was more than enough room for our family to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The provider reached out to make sure we were happy and was accommodating with any requests. I would love to stay here again!!

"My family of four loved staying here. My tween boys loved the game room on the bottom level, I had everything I needed to make sure all our meals went off without a hitch, which being over Thanksgiving isn’t always easy, and the location was an easy drive for my husband to get us to and from all the places we wanted to check out while in the Asheville area - Grove Park Inn, Biltmore, Chimney Rock, etc. The house was everything as promised and the hosts made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend for anyone coming to the Asheville area.

"A group of five of us (plus one dog and a baby) stayed here for a quick weekend getaway to Asheville. We were hoping for something peaceful, cozy, and about 15ish minutes to downtown Asheville. The Eastmoor Retreat checked all of those boxes and then some. Everything was exactly what we had hoped and seen from the pictures — the place was very clean, the amenities provided were a great touch (full kitchen with plenty of supplies, stuff for s’mores, the built-in info screen in the living room), and rooms were in great condition. Hot tub, fire pit, balcony were great to have and everyone felt safe, restful, and cozy all weekend. We all agreed that we’d book another stay here for future trips! Highly recommend!

"VERY CONVENIENT LOCATION - ONLY 15 MIN AWAY FROM DOWNTOWN ASHEVILLE. CENTRAL LOCATION TO BLACK MOUNTAIN AND SLIDING ROCK - APPROX 40 MIN AWAY FROM BOTH. BEAUTIFUL NEIGHBORHOOD. "Property was well stocked and very spacious. Hot tub was very enjoyable, the boys enjoyed the basketball goal. Very easy to get downtown. Enjoyed the stay. One downside was the only 2 small bathrooms for eight guests, and the carpet should be replaced.
