Please talk with a Yonder Guest Experience Specialist for a referral to the events director to discuss all that The Poplars at Bearwallow Mountain has to offer as an event space, as well as discuss costs associated for an event fee. The Pavilion has electricity, a sound system, lighting and water access. As well, enjoy the use, set up and break down of high quality tables and X back style chairs for your event.

"Brought our family for their first trip to see the Biltmore, the cabin was a perfect surprise for them. Everyone loved the views from the front porch each morning. The children thought having their own area upstairs was amazing. The entire place was so beautiful. Definitely will stay again !!

"I just want to say 5 stars is not enough for this place! It’s by far my favorite cabin we’ve stayed it between NC & TN. It was clean, spacious, safe & everyone enjoyed a relaxing family Thanksgiving get-a-way. There was a hiking trail right out the front door! Definitely on top of our must stay places. The view was beautiful, the house was beautiful, our family made core memories here. Very very happy!

Peace and Quiet

"My team (with members from five states) stayed in the Bearwallow Lodge and Cottage for a three-day retreat. The cabins were great, and we especially made use of the pickleball court in the Pavilion. The cabin beds were comfortable, and the Lodge's living room was perfect for our meeting area. We also spent a lot of time sitting on the porches catching up with each other and enjoying the peace and quiet. Yonder's customer service was great from the start. They helped me find a setup for our needs and were quick to respond to any questions and needs. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner after a a problem arose. Those things happen, and Yonder immediately helped and the owner quickly came to the property for an easy fix. He is such a nice man, and I enjoyed talking with him. I cannot recommend Yonder and Bearwallow Lodge/Cottage enough.

"Had one small maintenance issue during our stay. Called the number provided and they took care of it ASAP. Wanted to mention this first because no one can have everything go right all the time so I'm always interested in how things that don't go right are handled, and in this case they nailed it. Wouldn't hesitate to book with them again. They're doing things the right way. This specific property is *awesome*. Out in the middle of nowhere, lots of space, plenty of privacy, gorgeous views, well maintained and very clean. The kitchen was impressively well stocked compared to most places we stay with the essentials being pretty well taken care of. Being able to walk to the hiking trails was a killer feature that I was not aware of when we booked. Also being in the middle of a valley with mountains blocking light pollution in all directions was an unexpected bonus. The night sky was amazing! 10/10 stay. Would happily come here again.

Serene getaway with breathtaking views

"We came to Bearwallow Cottage to get away from city life and find some relaxing downtime. From the stunning views to the outdoor hot tub overlooking the mountains to the ridiculously comfortable couches, beds, and outdoor rocking chairs, it was extremely hard for us to leave. The property is beyond beautiful and perfect for any kind of event or simply a place for peace and quiet. It's also close enough to access beautiful water holes and Lake Lure is only a short drive. I can't recommend The Poplars enough and simply can't wait to go back!

Peace of Heaven in Fairview

"This property was absolutely beautiful. The house was just as described and came very well equipped. Everything you could possibly need was there. There were lots of extra touches like towels for the hot tub, Laundry detergent, hand soap, etc. The views are amazing and we loved that there are hiking trails right off the property. The roads getting up and down the mtn are a little precarious. So be prepared for a gravel one lane road. But otherwise, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Private Paradise

"This is the place to be! We had three families and between the pickle-ball court that doubles as a scooter pavilion for the kids, the hiking trails and hot tub, we had the most amazing adventure. Alan, the owner, was a delight and very considerate. It was a chilly weekend but the house was cozy and warm and a perfect, “nice but not too nice” vacation rental to have kids enjoy. We’ll be back!
