"We enjoyed our stay here! Early check-in was wonderful! Pros: We loved the mountain view without having to drive way up a mountain. Proximity to Tryon and Landrum, wonderful small towns , it was great! Yonder staff were easy to work with. Cons: as a short person, a little stool to get into the bed would have been helpful The mountain views are being obstructed by tree growth, not sure if limb trimming can be done. Older guests should not count on using shower on main level, too hard to get in an out of large whirlpool tub with fixed curtains all around.

Fantastic Mountain Retreat

"Loved this mountain property. Great location near very lots of trails and little towns, but still up away from the hustle and bustle. Saw lots of wildlife. Peaceful and very quiet. Enjoyed the amenities of the house and had plenty of space for the whole family. Hated to leave! Highly recommend.

Cozy and Convenient Mountain Cabin

"This is the second time we have stayed at this clean, cozy, and convenient mountain cabin, and both times we did not want to leave! With its breathtaking views, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, rustic aesthetic, and convenient proximity to restaurants and attractions, there is simply not much more you could wish for from a mountain getaway. The ping pong table, gaming system and selection of board games available kept our children entertained while we enjoyed the peaceful porch setting and real wood-burning fireplace. Whether you are looking for fun for the whole family or an adults only getaway, I cannot recommend this mountain rental enough!

Quintessential Mountain Rental with Amazing Views and Ideal Location

"We stayed at the White Oak Vista house for 10 days during the summer while our kids were attending Camp Kanuga, and this place has EVERYTHING you are looking for in a mountain retreat. The house is ideally located close to the base of the mountain and the town, yet has all the AMAZING views as if it were at the top! The house is clean and well maintained, and provides a comfortable and cozy environment with which to relax. It has both screened-in and open porches, so you can enjoiy the outdoors at all times, and maintains all the quality amenities one would expect in a vacation home. There are great hiking trails everywhere, and the surrounding towns have excellent restaurants and shopping to enjoy. We look forward to staying there again next year, and hope to make this an annual event for our family!

Cozy Winter Retreat

"My sister and I enjoyed another stay at this beautiful mountain cabin that features the most stunning western view of the mountains. It was the perfect, low key, short couple of nights’ stay where we spent a relaxing time enjoying the crackling, warm fire and the fabulous scenery. The cabin has all the amenities possibly needed or desired, and the short trip down the mountain to Columbus is easy and convenient for shopping, groceries, and restaurants. White Oak Vista is a priceless gem, and I highly recommend it! I am looking forward to a return visit in the near future!

Excellent Family Getaway

"My family and I had an amazing weekend trip to this cozy mountain home. We utilized the kitchen for making dinner everyday. My toddler twins enjoyed driving up the twisty road to get to the top of the mountain. The view from the home is magnificent and we will definitely be returning next year. The screened in porch was comfortable and relaxing, we spent most of our time there. Hopefully when my kids get older we could go tubing in the beautiful white snow. WOULD RECOMMEND!

My Favorite Rental Yet!

"This beautiful house had the best view I have seen in any rental I have come across! My family and I fit in just right and had such an amazing time! Everything was done perfectly and the rooms were beautifully decorated. My boys had the best time with the video game station in the basement and there are many close activities for all ages. My personal favorite was the Tryon International Equestrian Center a must do!!

"White Oak Vista was an ideal choice for our getaway in the stunning NC mountains. It's the right blend of a peaceful setting with easy proximity to anything we needed during our stay. The Columbus/Tryon area was also a nice surprise, as the local community was inviting and convenient. The view speaks for itself, and the home was quite comfortable for our family and friends. "I love White Oak Vista and hope to return soon. After a few sharp turns up the mountain, we reached this little piece of heaven! The trek up the mountain took less than five minutes! I am not a fan of steep, winding roads so this was perfect and the view is amazing. What a fun place to gather with girlfriends. We enjoyed playing all the board games, had a competitive game of ping pong, and shared our evening meal on the cozy screened porch. The view is spectacular! The kitchen is well equipped with everything one might need. There are so many excellent restaurants nearby. We took advantage of exploring the great shops and restaurants in Tryon, Saluda, and Hendersonville and even ventured up to Asheville which is an easy day trip. This two bedroom cabin sleeps so many people with the large game room downstairs. I look forward to my next vacation at White Oak Vista! L H E

The Perfect Mountain Getaway

"We LOVE staying at White Oak Vista!! It is the perfect mountain getaway with long range views and a secluded feel yet 5 minutes away from a great town with fabulous restaurants, breweries, wineries, and more. Most mountain homes have several hairpin turns to navigate but the drive to White Oak Vista has only 2 very manageable curves so it's easy on the stomach and easy to zip out and back for errands also. The house is a charming log cabin with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths plus an additional sleeping area in the playroom downstairs. It is perfect for large families or girls/guys trips! The master has a California king bed and the upstairs bedroom has a queen bed plus a twin trundle. Downstairs there are 2 full/twin trundles so we were able to comfortably sleep our two families. All the beds are super comfy too. The kitchen has everything you need and the dining table extends to fit large groups. The comfortable recliners and big TV in the living room are great for watching sports or movies. There are plenty of board games, a ping pong table, and a play station to entertain people. Our favorite part is enjoying the views from the porch with coffee/wine. We knew the community did not allow fire pits and thought we would miss that but we didn't at all...the living room fireplace was perfect and there is even a portable S'mores maker for the porch so we had everything we needed! We love exploring all the nearby towns. Columbus, Saluda, Tryon, Landrum, Lake Lure, and Hendersonville are all 5-20 minutes away and very charming. Each town has several great restaurants and quaint shops. There are also multiple wineries, breweries, hikes, tubing areas, and activities nearby. Parker-Binns winery is a must! We also love Sky top apple orchard, Chimney Rock, and the Tryon International equestrian center. We can't wait to return to White Oak Vista and highly recommend it!

Perfect mountain retreat

"The White Oak Vista cabin and property with the breathtaking porch view are outstanding! The cabin is very clean and well equipped with all the amenities of a comfortable and peaceful mountain retreat. Bedrooms are spacious and beds are extra comfy. The great room with a big flatscreen TV, fire place, couch and recliners, and large dining table make it a perfect family gathering spot. Kitchen has all the gadgets needed for cooking in, but the Columbus and Tryon restaurants are just a short distance down the mountain for those who prefer to eat out. The Tryon Equestrian Center is nearby for a visit as as well. The front porch has a swing and rocking chairs, but the back screen porch and deck off the master bedroom have the most magnifient view of the mountains, particularly at dusk. This cabin is my HAPPY PLACE, and I have loved having the opportunity to stay there many times over the past 2-3 years. I always look forward to my visits there... a little slice of heaven. Can't wait to visit WHITE OAK VISTA again soon!
