Important notes for the ceremony platform:

No power or heat at the platform. Solar string lights are in place.
To run power to the pavilion area, you’ll need ~300 ft of drop cord.
Generators are required for any additional power needs (lighting, sound, heaters, etc.).

"This rental was an amazing space for our medium-sized group of 12 people! It felt tucked away and private while still being close enough to major roads and amenities to not feel stranded. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked, the rental was clean, and there was so many great spaces for people to spend time all together or to split off into smaller groups. We were so pleased with this rental!

"Living room was perfect for gathering everyone while the rooms and other cabins allowed to still have privacy. Only thing I would note is that the drive and walk to the other two cabins are pretty steep and difficult to navigate at night. Would stay again for sure, but something to be aware of.

Good Space for Groups

"The house is a good space for 18 ppl. We stayed in the house and in both cottages. The kitchen in the house was well equipped. We did have to buy ice since the water was frozen solid in the ice maker. We had plenty of room to eat and cook our meals. Plenty of room for people to play games and others to relax. We only used the fire pit near the house. We only did one yoga session on the platform but did not hang out at that fire pit or the bar area. The cottages are a good walk-up hill from the house. It is also very dark and there is not a lot of light around the cottages so be prepared. The cottages had everything we needed. The internet was out but it was no big deal. I did not tell them since the hurricane was only 6 weeks before our trip and we saw devastation. We saw people working on the roads and the cables. We had great cell service. Overall, it was a good house.

"Whiskey Rock in Barnardsville is an absolute gem! Tucked away in the beautiful forest, it feels private and peaceful while still being an easy drive to Asheville and all the surrounding mountain adventures. The retreat is the perfect home base for outdoor lovers-you can head out for hiking, exploring nearby trails, or brewery hopping, then come back to total comfort. The property itself is breathtaking. The grounds are expansive and beautiful, with multiple ponds, a small waterfall, and plenty of space to wander and soak in the scenery. It truly feels like your own slice of nature. Inside, the home is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed to host a large number of guests without ever feeling crowded. There's room for everyone to gather together, but also enough nooks and open areas to spread out and relax. The separate cabins can house even more guests and feel like all the best parts of glamping but are also just a short walk from the main house. The party barn and large fire pits help to complete the entire 5 star experience. "Very spacious for all 13 family members. Some of the family stayed in the cabins. The kitchen was amazing. Our family enjoyed the firepit. When it snowed a little (us Georgia folks don’t see much snow) we were so excited. So thankful for all the help from our Yonder hosts. Just really hated to leave. Would consider coming back again to Whisky Rock.

Whiskey Rock- Perfect for groups!

"Our stay at the expansive Whiskey Rock was outstanding from arrival to departure. The house itself is one story aside from the steps to the front door, which is great to note for older folks. It is very spacious and has a ton of amenities for everyone of all ages. Yoga mats, weights, cornhole, jenga, outdoor speakers, tv's, multiple fire pits and dining tables (indoor and out.) We actually had a barbeque one night outside while the weather was warmer and used some of the beautiful decor to style the table (pumpkins, pinecones, candles, etc) The property itself is quite large, and great for exploring, hiking, spending time at the Whiskey Rock barn in the middle of the property was a highlight for us. The two additional cabins are kind of far up the mountain separate from the house and is suitable for adults that can drive if needed. We used both fire pits! There is tons of kitchen appliances such as a crock pot, air fryer, Kitchen Aid mixer, plenty of dishes, glassware and silverware for your large groups. Smart thermostats throughout the house, and comfortable beds. There was also plenty of games for adults and kids. The attention to detail from the Yonder team made our stay one-of-a-kind and will definitely be returning to Whiskey Rock or another one of their properties! Thank you!

Perfect in every way!

"This luxury modern estate was perfect for our small family reunion in every way. The main house is spacious with lots of light, pretty views and plenty of bedrooms, baths and gathering spaces. The location was also a boon. We wanted to be in Barnardsville to be closer to family members with the ability to travel into Asheville or Weaverville at our leisure. This retreat nestles into the base of the Pisgah National Forest (so you can easily hike or drive to take in its splendor) but is also located pretty conveniently to a nice meal out or catching some other sights in the nearby cities. Our visit was mostly about our family gathering, so we were so thrilled to have a place we could cook our own meals. The kitchen was a dream, with plenty of counters, appliances and gadgets you want and need, and when they said the kitchen was fully stocked, it actually WAS! (My experience with other places we've rented is the kitchen is woefully lacking...not so here). There are two dining areas, plus seating at one kitchen counter /island combo that accommodates everyone easily. The main living space also seated everyone comfortably. The bedrooms were lovely, and the main suite had an adjoining bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub to die for. The minute I saw it, I knew I'd be taking a bubble bath and it did not disappoint! It was cold when we visited, so we did not use the inviting outdoor spaces—fire rings, porches, etc. and we also didn't need the two additional "cabins" but I peeked in the windows, and they were so charming! It also made for a nice walk to get out and meander along the road where the cabins are and see some of the former yoga platforms and outdoor recreation spaces. If you have dogs, they'd be welcome here, which is also a nice bonus. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous retreat, especially if you have a crew of folks you're trying to bring together. You won't be disappointed!

"Whiskey Rock rocks. What a lovely first-class property. The house, cabins, and furnishings are all luxurious. The views of the surrounding mountains are breath taking. Amazing home

"The views, the decor, the games and the never ending property exploration. You need more time than you think at this house. We chose this house because every room had details and decor that made it feel way more homie rather than a bare rental. The event space was a perfect spot for our intimate wedding, and the barn bar was perfect. We got so many compliments about how unique the space and wedding was. Having the cabins worked out so well for our family to be with us, but not on top of us. The features of this house are incredible and I cried when we had to pull away. We will forsure try and make anniversary trips. One thing I will say to help future events here for those planning: the driveway layout can be a bit confusing for vendors/guests, and if you need anything shipped there last minute... Talk to yonder because the cleaning crew put our really needed package in the owners closet and we didn't get to use it for the wedding.

Couldn’t have been better

"We had a group of 15 stay at this property for a small wedding / birthday celebration. The house it absolutely stunning, huge and well stocked. We had a late brunch one morning with all of us seated at the table and played board games late into the night on the big comfy couch. The grounds are also beautiful - we had so much fun having fires, playing corn hole and exploring the trails on property. One thing I'll note is the cabins are further away from the main house than we expected, and are definitely a legit walk or drive at night. I had a lot of questions and requests and working with Yonder was great - they were always responsive and kind (even when my friend's car got stuck in the mud and we weren't able to get out of the house until well past checkout because we were waiting for a tow truck). We did end up having to pay some damages for the car getting stuck but the lawn was damaged so makes sense. We had such a fun, memorable weekend and can't wait to return! 10/10 would stay again (and hope to)

"We had an amazing stay at Whiskey Rock. We had a very small intimate wedding and the property was absolutely perfect. It made for amazing pictures and all of our family and friends had a great time. Having the two small cabins on property were great for guests to have their own area away from the main house but not be too far away. The goats and sheep were an added bonus to be able to visit in the morning. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Absolutely Amazing!

"Absolutely amazing mountain location, family facility and furnishings. Super clean, all amenities and then some. We are very happy with our stay and the facilities. We are not used to dealing with a third party agency for VRBOs, but we got details worked out, including some special accommodation to allow a decorator in to hang some balloons before our guest of honor arrived. Pisgah NF proximity for hikers and rolling hill roads for bikers were a real plus. We loved the trails on and near the property and lucked out with the weather - its all set up for rain or shine, and easily accommodated our 12 adults, 1 teen, and 1 baby... and our dog. She loved the trails. Excellent proximity to Asheville for those that wanted to run in... we had a story-telling, banjo fellow by the fire pit outside, and it was just great to experience out there... Easy access for our military members from Ft. Bragg, as well as Nashville, and Pittsburgh so for us outstanding location. One note would be to watch for the fees and taxes - our 3-day booking added up to almost another 30% of day rate in fees, with cleaning, etc. It was all worth it to

"We had the pleasure of staying at Whiskey Rock this past weekend and OH MY is all I can say!! It was truly peaceful and absolutely beautiful. It is tucked away in the mountains surrounded by trails and stunning scenery!! It is a short trip to Ashville with access to fun breweries, restaurants and shops. The main house is completely stocked with everything you need so pick up some wine and snacks and you are all set!! The cabins are perfect too! Bring your hiking boots and hike to the top of the mountain for some of the most amazing views of the North Carolina mountains!! My only regret is that we didn't stay longer!!

"Spacious home with many features and nice outside cabins for extra sleeping space. About 15 minutes from Weaverville and 30 minutes from Asheville. Located in hilly area with farms and ranches, some views of hills and many trails. For a big group...an excellent home and site. Well decorated, good wifi, and 4 large TVs. Several outdoor eating areas and 2 firepits with large lawn areas and outdoor platforms for relaxation.

Fantastic Family Week!!

"The whole family thought that the property was amazing, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked, from KitchenAid mixer which we used to make fresh pizza dough, to a large All Clad slow cooker which we used to make pulled pork. The double oven was helpful for feeding a large group. The older kids/young adults were very happy having their own spaces up at the two cabins, which were a walk away (suitable for teens, but I'd worry about younger kids up there without an adult present). It was perfect for our crew! Being in the mountains was nice...so much cooler in summer time. There was a great swing and hammock which were often used, and the cornhole boards provided hours of fun for all! Great pavilion on property for yoga, workouts or a family performance night if that's your thing. We had one slight issue the first night where the youngest child (4) locked a bedroom door from the inside and promptly fell asleep (it was a keyed lock and we called the emergency number to see where the key was, but they didn't know)...we were finally able to rouse the child to unlock the door. I cannot say enough good things about the house. Comfy beds, nice linens and towels, great water pressure, etc. Book this place!

"This place was perfect for a large group staying near Asheville. It was as beautiful as pictured. Keep in mind that the walk or drive up to the cabins is a bit difficult, so wouldn't recommend for anyone who isn't extremely mobile.

"Spacious home with many features and nice outside cabins for extra sleeping space. About 15 minutes from Weaverville and 30 minutes from Asheville. Located in hilly area with farms and ranches, some views of hills and many trails. For a big group...an excellent home and site. Well decorated, good wifi, and 4 large TVs. Several outdoor eating areas and 2 fire pits with large lawn areas and outdoor platforms for relaxation.

Beautiful, Charming Farmhouse

"My family stayed at Whiskey Rock in late June 2021. The home is a beautiful, charming farmhouse on a stunning, hillside property. There are two additional cabins a short walk/drive further up the hill. There is a large gathering space with picnic tables and outdoor entertaining space separating the two areas. There are fire pits near the main home, as well as in the outdoor area, and at both cabins. My family particularly enjoyed the outdoor areas, fire pits with plenty of firewood, hiking trails, koi pond, and coffee in the morning on the front porch is simply bliss with stunning views of the two hilltops. Recommendations I could give, pack bug spray since you will be up in the mountains. The home additionally comes with a pack n' play, air mattress, and extra pillows and blankets. I've made a note to the Yonder team, but would recommend the host has some extra large towels for use. Thank you again for a most enjoyable stay!

Family Reunion at Whiskey Rock

"Our family group of multi generations (toddlers to senior, #13 and 2 dogs) enjoyed the house, grounds, and cabins. The home is large with very large main room and master suite and 2 dinning rooms with large patio and front porch. The firepit areas are very excellent outdoor spaces with another deck area. The 2 cabins are nice for small groups to stay also. The condition of the home and grounds are good, with many homey touches in decor and needed equipment. We would recommend it for a large group. There are nice views of the hills and hiking trails nearby. The home is remote among ranch farm area and tucked into a sloped area 15 minutes from Weaverville and 30 minutes from Asheville, Things we think need to be considered: There are only 2 outdoor trashcans, so week-long stays by large groups soon overflow the trash cans, leaving bags of trash on the ground. Buy some more or large trash cans. There is no vent over the stove in the kitchen and this presents with fumes accumulating and should be rectified. There were only 2 rolls of paper towels in the whole house, given the price range of the house, more should be supplied. Also consider a few boxes of facial tissues in the house. The main living area is "upstairs" from ground parking and there is no garage access, some visitors may need to understand the stair issues for their group, but it worked well for us. Given its remote location amongst ranches and farms, visitors will hear sheep, chickens, and cattle. We found it nice. Great kitchen and supplies, appliances, master bath, rooms to "spread out", nice furniture for family use. Lots of TVs. Great porch for relaxation. Enjoyed the deck and good condition of the cabins with many sleeping beds and kitchenettes.

Pleasant Mountain Home

"A super pleasant mountain home with plenty of space to accommodate our group. The linens were soft and the beds were comfy. The property was very well kept and the fire pits were stocked with wood. The home had plenty of community seating from the dining rooms and the living room. There were plates and kitchen ware galore! The only thing I couldn’t find was a vegetable peeler, which was not a big deal. The home is about 15 minutes from walker falls, which was beautiful. I recommend taking a 4x4 vehicle to this home, especially the cabins. The rocks are slightly bigger than your average gravel driveway. I also suggest you clearly define the main house with a different sign, every guest we had missed the first turn to the main house. Other than that, great home and great listing!

Relax & Indulge at Whiskey Rock

"This is sincerely the most relaxing and luxurious properties I have ever stayed… Whiskey Rock is incredible. Totally immersed in the beautiful North Carolina mountains – with spectacular views and really good hiking & exploring. The house itself is open and well appointed – 4 bedrooms and the best of everything (and very cozy!) Instantly felt like home, and great space for family to gather –large meals and space for entertaining. The outdoor space is incredible – with multiple lawns, fire pits, and a very serene pond. Property also includes two fully separate cabins and a large “event deck”. We discovered a short cut to the Blue Ridge Parkway (with 4WD) – and also very close to Asheville and quaint Weaverville for days exploring, shopping, and dining. Hosts and property managers were very accommodating and especially friendly. My only complaint: we didn’t get to stay long enough! Already planning a return visit… Highly recommend. Come to the Mountains and enjoy WHISKEY ROCK! Thanks!!

Great stay at Whiskey Rock!

"Whiskey Rock is a beautiful property! We stayed in the main house, but also saw two cabins on the property – which would be perfect for larger families or groups. The mountains were so peaceful. We enjoyed hanging out by the koi pond and the multiple fire pits. We also spent a lot of time hiking around the property. The house has a large kitchen and multiple dining areas, which was great when we didn’t want to leave for meals. But, it is also close enough to enjoy the breweries and restaurants in Weaverville and Asheville. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy Whiskey Rock again!

Perfect Getaway

"Our stay at Whiskey Rock exceeded our every expectation. It was a comfortable environment beautifully decorated yet with a cozy feel. It provides a getaway from the pressures of daily living and a way to revert to a more relaxed pace. It is perfect for families, conferences, or special events with ample accommodations and common areas, yet has the opportunity to enjoy privacy whether in the main house, in one of the cabins, or in the great outdoors. Whiskey Rock has the charm of going back to nature without the hassle. Whiskey Rock is accessible to all the amenities of civilization with Weaverville and Asheville close by and is still remote enough to enjoy sitting around a fire pit, the koi pond, or relaxing on the numerous porches surrounded by the sounds of nature. Adjacent to Pisgah National Forrest, there are plenty of beautiful hiking trails on the property and in the national forest. We are looking forward to our next visit!

"We stayed at Whiskey Rock with our family in December. What an absolutely gorgeous and unique property! The owners have thought of everything to make your vacation enjoyable. Our teenage boys had a blast staying in one of the cabins while the adults stayed in the main house. We enjoyed sledding right on the property after Mother Nature surprised us with a beautiful snowfall. We also enjoyed hiking right on the property. We will definitely be back to Whiskey Rock!

"I live in Asheville and have been fortunate enough to travel the world and stay in some amazing places, needless to say I was over the moon when I arrived at Whisky Rock, just down the road in Barnardsville! The property is magical and the living spaces are beautifully decorated yet comfy and cozy . Everything is right at your fingertips for a relaxing retreat. I highly recommend this as a getaway with family or friends where everyone has privacy and space but can enjoy quality time in the outdoors together. You are close to Asheville, the Biltmore, hiking, biking, skiing, zip-lining, whitewater rafting and kayaking, fly-fishing - all the great resources that our area has to offer. Or don't leave Whiskey Rock at all. My sweet Labrador was particularly happy exploring the property!

"Whiskey Rock! Change up your scenery! If you are in need of a getaway that is equal parts serene, picturesque, active, cozy, and also provides all of the best creature comforts of home, look no further than Whiskey Rock. I made a trip with girlfriends to romantic Asheville over the Fall as a way to escape the covid mundane. We found such a gem in Whiskey Rock. This property is absolutely incredible. From the main house, to the cabins, fire pits, on-property hiking, farmland, water (adorable pond!) and Mountain View’s , to the thoughtful appointments, decorating, and well thought through amenities, it is a must stay if you're looking for a great vacation. While the home and property offer ample entertainment opportunity and flexibility to completely unwind and disconnect or stay active if you prefer that (hiking, awesome for yoga, and exploring), you're conveniently close to the nearest city for excellent craft food and drinks, cute little shops, and other trip attractions - don't forget to check out the Biltmore! Cruise into town, grab some tacos and a beer, then come home, spark a fire pit, and relax with your favorite spirit (whiskey works! :)) and the mountains all around you. Hope you love your stay at this unique little slice of heaven!

We Fell In Love!

"If you enjoy nature and a beautiful mountain setting but not too far from town, Whiskey Rock is the perfect getaway spot. We fell in love!!! We stayed in the main house and enjoyed the beautifully decorated yet cozy feel. The main room was a great place to gather and we particularly enjoyed the large fireplace and easily accessible well stocked kitchen. The house has all the conveniences of home in a lovely, comfortable, and peaceful environment. We didn’t want to leave when our week was up and are looking forward to returning with extended family. The grounds are lovely with several fire pits and seating, porches and decks, a koi pond, two really nice cabins, and plenty of space for outside activities. We didn’t stay in the cabins but would love to try them when we come back. There are plenty of outdoor activities nearby including hiking, zip-lining, and skiing. We enjoyed going into Weaverville for lunch and visiting downtown Asheville. We also enjoyed seeing the waterfalls in Pisgah National Forest (Big Ivy) which was right around the corner. We loved our stay at Whiskey Rock!
