Experience this peaceful mountain retreat with privacy and long-range mountain views, while enjoying the convenience of being just 5 miles from quaint downtown Waynesville and from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This beautiful log cabin home on 1.7 acres was extensively renovated Summer 2022 with all new kitchen and baths to provide guests an amazing experience. Unwind on the expansive covered porch, relax by a fire in the cozy great room, or soak in the 8 person outdoor spa while gazing at rows of majestic Smoky Mountains.

Trailblazers Cabin invites you to enjoy everything Western NC has to offer.  Enjoy Smoky Mountain adventures, local waterfalls and hiking, or simply relax as you breathe beautiful cool mountain air overlooking the mountain ridge.

LOCATION

15 minutes from downtown Waynesville on a 1.7 acre private property overlooking an apple orchard and beautiful mountain scenery. The property is 35 minutes from the Asheville Regional Airport. Elevation: 3,300’ elevation averages a few degrees cooler temperatures than Waynesville!

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

Enjoy a beautiful log cabin home with gorgeous views. Feel like you are getting away from it all, while keeping the conveniences of being close to town. New owners have fully renovated and updated the home while maintaining the warm, rustic log cabin feel. Cozy up by the stone wood burning fireplace in the main level great room. The spacious open kitchen is well-stocked with all new appliances, and is bordered by an 8-person granite countertop bar/eating area.

Each bedroom has an attached or adjacent updated bathroom, creating the Ideal setting for multiple families.  Two separate living areas, a loft, and 400sq ft covered porch provide ample space to hang out, play games, and make memories together. The lower level includes a large TV, dart board, and two-player 60+ arcade game machine to enjoy. Step off the wrap-around porch outside to find a large stone fire pit perfect for s’mores, a corn hole court, and a children’s playground... all overlooking the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountain range.

Quiet Policy: Please note that the home/estate property is located in a private community. Parties, loud noise, and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peace this mountain retreat area affords.

Early Check-In and/or Late Check-Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

Pets: This home is dog friendly. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $130 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party.

Guys Golf Getaway

"This is one of the best rentals I have ever used. The place was perfect for 8 guys to enjoy in the evenings after rounds of golf. The outside fire pit was a great addition, and we even got in a little cornhole. The drive into town is easy and there are many great restaurants. The place was also stocked with all the essentials, coffee, trash bags, laundry detergent, etc. I look forward to renting this place again in the future. Thanks for everything!!!

"Trailblazers Cabin is absolutely awesome in every way. A beautiful log home with a wraparound porch and a stunning view. This home was immaculately clean, with upscale furnishings and decorations, and stocked with everything you might need and many things you didn't know you needed. Spent a few nights there over the Holidays with my children and grandchildren for our annual Holiday gathering and it was unanimous that this was the best rental we have ever stayed in. We had zero problems and the Yonder team was outstanding. We will definitely rent this house again!

"Trailblazers cabin is a wonderful home. It is very clean, well decorated and maintained. It has a covered front porch to allow use of rocking chairs regardless of the rain, and a beautiful view of Culpepper Bald mountain in the distance. We enjoyed the seclusion of the property, but also the convenience to Hazelwood and Waynesville for groceries and restaurants, as well as, a central location for access to Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smokey Mountains National Park and a day trip to Highlands/Cashiers. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit on multiple evenings. Three bedrooms provide 2 kings and 1 queen bed. A fourth bedroom provides full size bunkbeds and an additional twin bed. An area downstairs also provides an additional set of bunkbeds. We were a bit confused about this until we were able to check in. We appreciated that the owners kept the house stocked with necessary items such as baggies, foil, liquid soap, etc. which are nice to have items that you don't really want to purchase for a short stay. They seem to really care about a comfortable stay. The outdoor grill appeared new and worked flawlessly as did the technology in the house. Although we couldn't see other homes while enjoying the outdoor porch, many neighbors were out every day walking dogs and were friendly. Bill and Biscuit walked by a few times and stopped to talk on their way to their home. We have been traveling to WNC for many years and have rented many homes between Waynesville, Maggie, Black Mountain and Blowing Rock/Banner Elk. This house is now our favorite and we will return. Our family includes 8 adults and 5 grandchildren of which 6 adults and 3 grandchildren made this trip. If our entire family were to make this trip again, we might be required to find a larger house since the 4th bedroom with bunkbeds isn't a great option for adults.

"The house was exactly as expected from the pictures and listed amenities. Clean and comfortable with the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had at a rental. It was perfect for our two families to share for 4 nights. The kids loved the playground and the arcade game in the basement. The adults loved the hot tub and the puzzles, and did I mention the kitchen?! Highly recommend and we may even rent this place again!

"The cabin is sort of a perfect place to stay in this area. It's about 40 minutes from Asheville in one direction and 40 minutes from Great Smokey Mountain National Park on the other. The Blue Ridge Parkway is just down the road. There are numerous grocery stores within 15 minutes. We stayed here with my family - 8 adults and 2 children. Everything was just as described. The view from the deck is gorgeous. I would have been happy just sitting out there the entire time. The kitchen has just about every item you could reasonably need. I had to call Yonder once for an issue with the sink's garbage disposal, and they responded promptly. The drive up is steep, not too bad in the summer for normal vehicles, bit I imagine it could be treacherous in the winter. The note about black bears is legit. We watched an adult bear making a valiant effort to get into the trash at 4am. We never saw one in the daytime, but they're definitely around. Highly recommend this place.

"A beautiful location, home, and town!! The home is very private and the views are amazing! We ran into one of the local neighbors walking his dog and he was so friendly. The home was clean, comfortable, and kid friendly. The deck & outside area were a huge hit! We booked this home for a friend mountain weekend and my boyfriend (or should I say fiancé) proposed to me on the hillside next to the house with the mountains in the background! It was PERFECT. So many sweet memories here & we can’t wait to go back!

"Our group of 4 couples had a great stay at this cabin. The setting is beautiful, the kitchen was very well-equipped, and Yonder Management could not have been better about handling a couple of very minor issues. Special mention of Chad for being so responsive to our technical issues with the front door and the hot tub. The hot tub, the fire pit and the corn hole set were nice extras. With the wide and high front porch, we were even able to play corn hole on the porch during an evening rain.

"We had a big group stay here for a ski weekend and it was great. The host gives you a lot of info on everything you need to know with the house. The neighbors are also extremely friendly as we were unable to get up the driveway because of a winter storm. Several folks came up to our door to check on us and offered snow shovels to us. "This house was wonderful. All the rooms were fully stocked and clean. Clean bathrooms, clean living room, and a clean dining room, but most importantly, the kitchen was clean and ready to host our large family. Our party consisted of multi-generational family members ranging from small children to older adults. It's all in the details and they got it right by supplying everything imaginable to prepare meals with ease, play arcade games, enjoy the playground, read a book, have relaxing family time, and even wash clothes if needed. For those of us living in flat cities (Miami, FL), driving up hills may be a bit challenging but it was very easy to get used to. The cabin was everything you'd hope for to experience a carefree vacation, great location, amazing views, responsive host, but above all, as previously mentioned, super clean. The cabin exceeded our expectations. All the couples agreed that they loved the experience and would definitely return.

"Our family truly enjoyed our stay here and would consider returning. Everything from the renovations, decor, and cleanliness exceeded our expectations. One thing that our family appreciated were the amount of accommodations it had for the size of the home. We were multiple families staying at the cabin and each room was fully equipped with a bathroom, towels, toiletries (soaps, shampoos) and blankets. The kitchen had everything you needed! No need to travel w/ those essentials you usually need. It had all the appliances (big and small), dinnerware, cookware and a plethora of spices available for use. I especially loved the instructions labeled in their specific locations for using items in the home like the fireplace, washer and dryer just to name a few. Everything was so thought out and ready for us as their guests. I’d highly recommend this cabin for a fun and relaxing vacation with the family. Thank you for providing a home away from home for our family.

"Perfect size for large groups to all sleep comfortably. No one was ever waiting on a shower. The view from the porch is really one of a kind. "My stay at the Trailblazers Cabin was nothing short of fantastic. The house is large and comfortably fit our entire party. The kitchen was completely stocked with necessary tools and dishes as well as sleek appliances. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable with soft beds and warm blankets. Loved the view of the mountains and that we could drive into Waynesville for coffee or food. I definitely would recommend this place for a family/group of friends looking for a mountain getaway. "We loved our stay at Trailblazer’s Cabin! The owner took great pride in providing a home that is well appointed and well stocked. I like to cook and they provided all one would need for the kitchen including good knives along with a nice outdoor Weber grill. My wife and kids are avid readers and were impressed with the books that were available during our week long stay. While sitting on the porch the property faces north so we enjoyed the cool mornings with coffee watching the sunrise off to the right. All rooms were very comfortable and it was nice that all of us had our own bathrooms that appeared to be newly remodeled. We only had four people for most of our stay but the place can easily hold a lot more. The basement has a few games and can easily hold another couple with a few kiddos. The location is very private tucked up at the end of a street that may be a challenge in the winter to get to. I suggest using the Waze app to find this home! The road does narrow as you approach your destination. Lots of firewood available which we never got to use however the evening and morning temps were a bit cooler than Waynesville, a cool little town about a 10-15 minute drive away. Asheville is a good 30 minute drive on the freeway. We had a balance of our time visiting downtown Asheville and also exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains with great hiking opportunities and views all around. The owner provided informative guides to hiking trailheads in the area. Again I would recommend the Waze app to find some of these places. This location is very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and access to some awesome hikes. The best part was the 6 person hot tub to soak in whether it was during the cool mornings or after a long day of hiking. If you enjoy the outdoors and like a private area to retreat to you will love this place! For hikes we recommend Wildcat Falls and Falls on Flat Laurel Creek and Waterrock Knob as a great hike for the family that took us on a detour to discover a place crash that happened in the early 80’s. All in all this place was a great find for us and would love to come back. Thank you for providing this space!

Awesome Mountain Getaway

"Gorgeous cabin with a huge wrap-around deck overlooking an apple orchard and the mountains. You can be on the blue ridge parkway or in town within 10 minutes of the cabin. Tons of parking, nicely separated from neighbors, and plenty of space inside and out. Arcade machine is a ton of fun, too. Large kitchen can handle big dinners and is well stocked. Great wi-fi/internet access.

"What a fabulous place to stay! This cabin makes for a very fun getaway with friends or family! There is a large front porch with beautiful views, a large yard with a fire pit and the house is ideal! The kitchen is very well stocked, the beds are comfortable, there is a super fun basement with a video arcade game with all the old games to play, plus a dartboard. Using Apple Maps got us right to the cabin with no problems. It is close to the town of Waynesville, which reminds me of an upscale ski resort town. There are lots of excellent restaurants and wonderful shops. I am looking forward to returning to Waynesville, and will definitely stay at Trailblazers Cabin again!

Coziest home away from home

"This is the perfect LARGE get away from home! There are incredible views right from the porch and you can see out all the way across the mountain nearby. There is a beautiful orchard right beside the house. The house is extremely cozy and updated. Plenty of room for family and activities. Fire place works which is one of the best features of the house! The family who rents out this property are extremely helpful and respond quickly. They will make sure that your stay is the best possible. I can’t wait to stay here again

"This majestic cabin provides everything (and more!) that your family needs for the mountain getaway of your dreams. We enjoyed sipping coffee on the porch taking in the spectacular views, hiking through the wooded trails, and spending the night playing games in the furbished basement. 7/5 stars

"I loved everything about this cabin and stay. Hosts had everything we needed, and the cabin is gorgeous. Not to mention the mountain views for sunrise and sunset! I didn’t want to leave!
