Sunrise Cove offers lake living in the Smoky Mountains at it’s best! Located on pristine Fontana Lake for your fishing, boating and swimming adventures. You won’t want to leave this serene atmosphere, but if you do, you’re only 20 minutes to Bryson City with shopping, dining, white water rafting and more. Don't forget about the Great Smoky Railroad! Book now for the Polar Express! The Nantahala River, Nantahala Outdoor Center and the Gorge are just 15 minutes away as well!

As you enter the cabin, you’ll immediately be greeted by an open floor plan, with cathedral ceilings and lots of windows for natural sunlight. The main living area is thoughtfully decorated with comfortable furnishings. Gather in the dining space or well equipped kitchen as you cook up your favorite meals.

You have 2 guest rooms to choose from, the comfortable primary bedroom with ensuite is on the main level and upstairs is a loft bedroom with ensuite as well.

There is no doubt that you will spend most of your time enjoying the outdoors, boasting two levels of covered deck and a screened-in portion, there is not a bad spot to take in the views of the mountains and the lake. You will also have direct lake access, just take the stairs that lead down to the floating dock. Bring your boat, kayaks and any other water toy you love!

- We do want to let you know that there is lake access year round. However, Lake Fontana is dropped significantly beginning the end of Sept through April. The lowering will take time and water will continue to be under the dock for a period of time, but all based on weather. When the dock is on dry land you can walk down to the water or head over to Princes’ Boat dock, just around the corner for lake/boating options in the winter! Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

Pets: Many of our guests have allergies so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction. If you have a pet we can recommend some alternatives nearby.

Beautiful place and views, lots of stair steps though.

"It's a really nice place and has fantastic views but lots of steps which we thought wouldn't be bad as we live in a three story house and the stairs don't bother us. However, it's like two stories of steps just to get to the door to get inside, another story of steps to get to the lower deck then another story of steps to get to the water, and of course it was raining like crazy when we left so we got soaked going up and down those steps with our stuff to pack the car up and leave. That being said, if you know going in that there's steps galore then you know. We didn't realize quite how many steps there was, and the lighting on those steps aren't great or even good. Lots of spots with no light, which is weird because there's a pole with flood lights on it at the top of the steps at the parking area but no switch in the house turned them on. We called about it that first night but nothing was ever done. That was very disappointing as on the second night my wife tripped and fell on the steps near the top where they are very narrow and angled due to no lighting. They have the cheaper single led solar lights every 4-5 steps but they barely light up 2 steps right at the edge and don't do much else. Sorry for the long description of the steps and lack of lighting, it truly was the only thing we had issues with but it's a big issue when lack of lighting on the steps causes a trip and fall accident that could've resulted in way more than a skinned knee and bruised arm/ribs. We still give it 5 stars because everything from the furniture, to the beds, to the patio and kitchen was very well put together, comfortable and had everything we needed. Then the views from the deck were fantastic. We would stay again but would look at the weather forecast for our departure date....we were just soaked thru our shoes even.... We laugh about it now though and it's something we will always remember.

"We enjoyed a beautiful Labor Day Weekend at this property. Lake Fontana is absolutely breathtaking and you must rent a boat to get out and see the Nantahala Forest surrounding the more reclusive parts of the lake. We had a multi-day boat rental and loved being able to dock at "home". The house had everything we needed and then some. If you like bike trails - the Nantahala Bikeway is 25 minutes away. Enjoy the NOC whitewater rafting just 15 minutes away. Sitting on the deck at night was my favorite part!

"The house was gorgeous and the lake was beautiful. We had an amazing time. We spent most of our time on our paddle boards that we brought or just floating in the cove and diving off the dock. We also went to Bryson City Outfitters for a beer and walked around and we spent an evening at the casino which was a lot of fun. Everything was great but I could pick on a few things…. The Keurig was broken, which is fine and they supplied coffee but no coffee filters. They did have a French press that I was able to use the first morning (again just nitpicking) Another thing was the cove the house was located in was a little busier than expected. There was a small marina, which wasn’t loud or anything, and boats that came by were slow. And lastly there was a big group of people on the other side of the cove that were very loud almost all day, mostly kids screaming and music playing all day long and into the night. Overall our stay was perfect!

"We really enjoyed our week at Sunrise Cove. It was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed for a relaxing week on the lake. The space was spotless and made us feel at home. They had life jackets of all sizes, which came in handy for our 2 year old, and we were able to fish off the dock. We enjoyed renting a pontoon boat and cruising the lake. I would definitely recommend Sunrise Cove for a weekend getaway or a week long vacation. We hope to come back someday. Also to note we did not communicate with the company Yonder at all except the emails and instructions they sent because we had everything we needed and had no problems.

"We truly enjoyed our week getaway here! The views are absolutely amazing and we love sitting out on the balcony. We rented a pontoon hoard and were able to spend the day out on the lake. "My husband and I enjoyed beautiful Sunrise Cove this weekend. What a peaceful lake that has so many nooks and crannies that make you feel you have the lake to yourselves. We enjoyed renting a boat for 3 days and the convenience of having our “home” right on the lake for the weekend. Nighttime on the deck with candles burning is the best time! Thanks again! PS…for any bikers out there—we brought our bikes and rode the Nantahala Bikeway about 30 minutes from here. Paved and beautiful!

"We had such a wonderful time at Sunrise Cove. It was the perfect getaway after a long 6 month deployment. We definitely needed some family time, so thank you for hosting! "This is the first time we have visited this property, and we had a great experience.
