Location: This high-end luxury home is located just outside downtown Asheville, at the top of Town Mountain, in a private little enclave neighborhood. The cottage is less than 10 minutes to downtown Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, the River Arts District, all with its energetic collection of restaurants and shops! You are only 20 minutes to Asheville Regional airport. You are essentially close to "everything" in and around Asheville. The home is accessed via only paved roads.

Neighborhood: Please note that the cottage is located in a very private, quiet and exclusive neighborhood. Parties, loud noise and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and their neighborhood.

"The home itself is lovely, clean, relaxing and well appointed. What isn't relaxing is how difficult it is to find. I strongly recommend that first-time visitors only approach the house during daylight hours. Our mistake was thinking we could find it at night. It took us over an hour to find it. GPS didn't help and the written directions weren't much better. After three days of staying there we were still getting lost when returning in the evening. I would have given the property 5 stars but the difficulty in finding the place was a detraction.

"We had an absolutely fabulous stay at the Sunrise cottage. It was clean, furnished as expected, quality linens and a GREAT master bed for sleeping (for those of us used to hotel beds, I can vouch for a great night sleep at the cottage!) The kitchen was clean with wonderful amenities that are new and very easy to use. Space heater and Evo thermostat came in handy for the chilly nights! Overall an incredible cottage for two (no doors upstairs in the loft so even though it can host 4 people, two people are very comfortable). We will be back!

"This home is in a lovely mountain neighborhood very close to downtown Asheville. We regularly saw bears and enjoyed the songbirds in the morning. The home is exactly as pictured—very comfortable and extremely clean and neat. We didn’t use the upstairs loft because the downstairs area had plenty of space for the two of us. The deck in the back is large and we enjoyed the views, though the mountains in summer were quite hard to see. It had a canopy of trees for shade and was quite nice for sitting with a leisurely cup of coffee in the morning. The Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby as is our favorite hike at Cravens Gap. There is a lot to do in Asheville and this home is in a very convenient location to come and go from. It was a delight to stay in this cute little home. We hope to be back.

"The site IS (quite wonderfully) high on the mountain, which means both that you'll want to find it during daylight hours, and that you'll be going to sleep and waking up to beautiful vistas. While it's not exactly "secluded" (as there are houses nearby, which aren't so evident in the photos), it is set apart enough to feel completely alone and at home. The house is eminently comfortable, and quite perfect for a couple or small-family getaway. The only drawback--and it's a very small one--is that there are no spices, salt/pepper, or cooking oils in the otherwise well-stocked kitchen. So bring your own if you're going to be cooking! Access to everywhere is wonderfully simple, with an easy drive down the mountain leading you quickly to downtown and other points.

"This is a nice property. Close to downtown but doesn't feel like it's in Asheville. The size makes it cozy, and the views are great. My only criticism is that the neighborhood is very tight and it feels a little like you're right on top of the neighbors.

"Great location! This property is located about 3.5 miles from downtown Asheville, yet you feel you are in a cabin in the woods. The space was warm and inviting and the bed was very comfortable. If you like caffeinated coffee, I suggest you bring your own. While they have a nice combo coffee machine that can use Keurig pods or standard coffee, the selection of coffee provided for the Keurig was mainly decaf, flavored coffee. So bring your own coffee and enjoy the sunrise over the mountains!
