Parties and disruptive behavior aren’t permitted, and we kindly ask that you be mindful of neighbors and quiet hours starting at 10pm.

Extended Stays Reservations of 30 days or more are subject to review; stays exceeding 90 days require an additional agreement. A security deposit, mid stay cleaning fees and trash pick up fees may apply depending on the length of stay.

Stunning lakefront property in the Blue Ridge Mountains

"My family and I had a great stay at the Red Bud Retreat. The property itself is stunning - quiet neighborhood that was fun to walk through each morning with our coffees. We brought food in from the Village Pantry in Cashiers and had a great time having lunch on the deck facing the lake. The bunk room worked great for four teenage cousins with the view of the lake and trees from the room and comfortable full sized beds. We hiked some of the best trails on the East Coast of the US, many of which ended with a swimming hole or waterfall we hung around at afterwards. The food scene in Highlands, Cashiers, and Sapphire are very underrated in my opinion. We loved getting dinner at Osteria, which was only 7 minutes away by car. Highly recommend making reservations a few weeks out in the summer time. We picked up fresh cinnamon rolls on Saturday from Charlie’s Hot Buns, which is a quick drive. The highlight for us was the paddle boarding on the lake the home is on, world-class hiking nearby, and the great food scene that is close by. We will definitely be coming back to Red Bud Retreat next year.

A Blissful Mountain Escape!

"Absolutely delighted with our stay at Red Bud Retreat in Sapphire, NC. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease and immersed in peaceful luxury. Everything about the home—from the gorgeous lake-front setting and private dock to the breathtaking Blue Ridge views—was stunning. The inside matched the outside beautifully: spacious, crisp, and thoughtfully designed. The gourmet kitchen (with Wolf, Sub-Zero, wine cooler!) made it a joy to cook together. The living spaces felt warm and comfortable yet elevated. The community pool, game room and even the private home gym were true bonuses. We also appreciated the little touches: ample linens, kid-friendly dinnerware, kayak access, and a quiet atmosphere with completre privacy. Located in a great area of Sapphire Valley, we could hike, relax by the water, drive into charming towns, or simply stay in and enjoy the deck with evening cocktails under the stars. All in all, it exceeded our expectations—would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to any group looking for upscale mountain-lake getaway. Many thanks to the hosts & managers for making this such a seamless, memorable vacation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
