A mindfully curated log home retreat center, majestically nestled in the mountains of WNC outside Asheville and Hendersonville. This one-of-a-kind log boasts a private swimming pool, garage, and game Room for year-round enjoyment for all ages, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space to accommodate any and all groups. The entire property has been meticulously maintained and set up for your pleasure and enjoyment. Come create relaxing, blissful, and amazing memories at Mountain Laurel Oasis.

Private estate home located south of Asheville near Biltmore Park, 20 minutes south of downtown Asheville, 5 minutes to Asheville Regional airport, 5 minutes to Biltmore Park, & 18 minutes to the gates of Biltmore Estate. And 20 minutes to downtown Brevard or Hendersonville. It is easy to access the home via only paved roads, with no winding mountain roads. The home affords year-round access to any vehicles, with plenty of onsite parking for the entire group.

What You Can Expect:

Come enjoy the Mountain Laurel Oasis experience. Swimming pool, fire pit, garage game room, and more...Wow!

When you pull into the driveway, you will enter a secluded, tree-lined oasis. A short walk down the plant-lined stone walkway to the front porch boasting pine log columns, you will enter the front door into the main room of this 2,700+ sq ft modern log farmhouse. There you will be greeted by vaulted wood and beam ceilings, hardwood plank floors, comfortable living and dining spaces, a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen, and a spectacular wood-burning stove seated on a large stone hearth. The main room was originally a small cabin built in the 1930s, and its timeless charm shines through to today. From the main room, you can step out onto the large wrap-around deck and enjoy outdoor dining or cocktails, or a tranquil morning coffee. From this part of the deck, you can also enjoy a mountain top view, especially in the winter months.

Continue on through the main room into the modern-day portion of the home, where you will find a large hallway bathroom featuring a granite double vanity and a large tile and glass shower. Located near the hallway bathroom is a bedroom with a luxurious king bed and lots of windows to enjoy natural light and views of the outside. This bedroom has a walk-in closet and a 43-inch smart TV in case you find yourself wanting to lounge in privacy or drift off to the sounds of your favorite show.

At the far end of the hallway, you will find the cavernous master suite with its heavily beamed ceiling and 2 queen beds. This room includes comfortable seating areas, a 55-inch smart TV, and a large walk-in closet. This bedroom also features 2 full ensuite private bathrooms – one on each side of the master closet. The first full bathroom has a vanity, toilet, and soaking tub, and the other full bathroom has a vanity, toilet, and a large tile and glass shower. This bedroom is ideal for families and is large enough to also accommodate air mattresses or sleeping bags for little guests or a pack and play. From the master suite, you can access the wrap-around deck and make your way out to the fire pit or the pool.

The swimming pool is open seasonally, from approximately mid-May through mid-September, depending on weather.

Situated between the two downstairs bedrooms is a private office with a built-in desk, shelves and drawers with a wireless printer. If by some misfortune you require a place to work in peace and quiet during your getaway (hopefully for only a brief time), this is your workplace retreat.

Before heading upstairs, you will pass through the nook located at the stairway landing. The nook has a charming wooden built-in single bed adorned with bookshelves. This bed is perfect for the little adventurer in your family or the solo teenager or adult. Here in the nook the kids can also relax apart from the grown-ups and read or play board games or the Xbox on the 43-inch smart TV. From the nook you can access the wrap-around deck outside.

Venturing upstairs you will find another spacious bedroom with an ensuite full bathroom and king bed. This large bedroom has a comfortable seating area where you can relax with a book or your tablet, and another 43-inch smart TV for your private viewing pleasure. Across the upstairs landing is the bunk room with 2 single beds, each with a pullout trundle bed. The bunkroom is perfect for the younger members of the family to hang out and “bunk up” for memorable times together.

When you’re ready to venture outside the home and explore the property, fun and adventure awaits! Enjoy splashing or soaking in the heated in-ground swimming pool or just lounge around and enjoy the sun and the calm mountain breezes. Hangout by the firepit and enjoy the crackling fire and make s’mores with the family. Head over to the garage game room and enjoy hours of fun playing ping pong, foosball, pop-a-shot basketball or electronic darts. Visit the enclosed raised-bed garden and snip some fresh herbs to enjoy with your dinner. Or amble on over to the hammock and relax with a book or simply nod off to the sounds of the outdoors.

Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

PETS: Many of our guests have allergies so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction. NO exceptions. If you have a pet we can recommend some alternatives nearby.

"Better than advertised! This property was great. Our family spent a week exploring Asheville and the surrounding area and this was our home base for a week. Our teenage kids enjoyed the pool and game room and our adult kids (one of whom is taking an online course this summer) appreciated the private office space and connectivity. Everything you need is on site (quite frankly we packed too much not knowing how well stocked the kitchen would be.). I'd highly recommend this property to other families. Just down the street from Sierra Nevada brewery and a short drive to downtown Asheville, Biltmore, etc.

"This property was amazing! Exceeded expectations with size, layout, and the grounds. Only complaint would be the neighbors. Quiet hours began at 10:00 and by 10:18 we had a call from the owner stating there were noise complaints. We didn’t have music playing, just all sitting at the table talking and catching up! He was very kind and apologetic that he had to call but it was a big bummer for sure. Just something to keep in mind! But would definitely go back.

"The stay exceeded our expectations. There were some issues with the Hot Water Heater but Kim, the maintenance tech jumped on the issue and rectified it before we returned from our day outing. The staff at Yonder were super nice and responsive. It was great to have such a good team of people to take care of us! Thank you! The owner also opened the pool to us a week early at our request. "Our stay was INCREDIBLE! The cabin and amenities were exactly as described online. James checked in with us right after we checked in and provided the most detailed information we needed to know for the cabin, all amenities and also ensured our pontoon rental was scheduled and what we needed. We were able to enjoy everything the property provided - an incredible place to sit and have morning coffee while enjoy the sunrise as well as evening shade. The kayaks and paddle boards were used multiple times by our sons. The hot tub and fire pit provided relaxation and some time for making s’mores while also making family memories. The location is PERFECT! Very close to anything you need from groceries to restaurants. James also checked in with us midway though our stay - so thoughtful! We had never been to Lake Lure prior to this trip, but we will most definitely be back - and we will rent from James again without a doubt! For anyone who wants a quiet, relaxing, fun place to stay and connect with family or friends, this place is it! You will NOT be disappointed!

"So amazingly beautiful…we absolutely loved everything. The grounds and the pool are so beautiful. We enjoyed staying there so much we didn’t want to leave. I enjoyed watching the birds and the butterflies. It was truly magical. We loved staying in and spending our day by the pool and relaxing indoors. We went for drives and visited Biltmore Village. I told my husband we could buy a cabin like this and then we would never have to leave home again.

"We had a wonderful time at this property. The house is spacious, with plenty of room for two large families. We appreciated the large and well-manicured yard. The heated pool and hot tub were in excellent condition and got a lot of use. We also enjoyed the nice little touches as well, like a herb garden in the backyard and a separate game room for the kids. You definitely felt like you were away, despite the fact that Asheville was only 10 min away (and several restaurants and breweries were even closer!). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly consider returning next time we're in the area.

"This cabin is one of the best cabin we have ever been. Its beautifuly furnished, its clean, the kitchen is full with all you need for cooking which not many of the cabins have it. The outdoor is very well maintananced with a lots of trees that givs you a total privacy all around the cabin especialy in a fall with those beautiful warm colors of the leafs. "Everything was exactly as it's described! The space was huge and our group of 11 fit comfortably without feeling like we were on top of each other. The pool and hot tub were a great way to relax and sunbathe and we were only 20 minutes from Asheville and other activities we had planned. The separate game room was a lot of fun also. All in all it was a great trip and I would definitely book it again if I was traveling in a large group.

"Our crew of seven stayed at the property for four nights during Thanksgiving 2021. The house Leo was absolutely perfect for four adults and three boys. The favorite for the kids was the gaming garage and a large property to host football and soccer challenges. The weather was perfect and we took part in many events in nearby Asheville. The house layout accommodated two families with ample space and a great kitchen layout for cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

"Everything was as pictured and as promised, other than a non-working dryer, to which Yonder responded quickly. This was the perfect escape--a beautiful private setting that's still close to everything--easy 25 minute drive into town or to hiking trails, and around 10 minutes to a great supermarket. Going out to eat with our crew of 11 in the midst of COVID wasn't in the cards, but we got amazing BBQ and Southern food delivered, and cooked in the gorgeous, well-equipped kitchen. We had plenty of sleeping, lounging, and recreation space--our teens loved the game room with it's own refrigerator & TVs in every room, and everyone loved the pool and hot tub. The wrap around deck was amazing for group meals and morning coffee. We didn't want to leave!

Fun Family Vacation

"My family of four(including 2 young kids) stayed here with my sister and her husband for a week in July. It was an excellent Covid safe vacation because the property is like a mini-resort. The pool is high quality and clean, landscaping is beautiful, a new hot tub was set up while were there and there is a whole garage game room for rainy days. It’s out in the country in a small quiet neighborhood, which worked fine for us since we mostly spent the week at the house since the kids loved swimming and we were trying to minimize Covid risk. The space was well decorated and very clean with comfortable beds. There is also a good restaurant nearby, Mary’s Burritos and Beer, the Sierra Nevada Brewery, the airport and an Ingles grocery store. It’s a bit of a drive to Asheville or most hiking (15-20 min, traffic can be bad too), but that was fine for us. We’d expected the hot tub to be up and running but it was empty when we arrived. The management was responsive, I think it had just been installed, but it took a few calls and several days to get it filled and working. Overall though, management seemed professional and organized, check in was very smooth.

"We had a wonderful time at the Mountain Laurel Oasis! With the pool, the game room and the outdoor seating area by the grill, along with the fire pit, there was so much for us to do while chilling at the property. Add in all of the hiking and scenic things to do while in Asheville, makes this property a wonderful vacation spot. It is easy to get to, and very close to many grocery stores and restaurants, along with it not being far from downtown Asheville. We would love to stay there again for our next trip to visit our family that lives in the area.

"We rented this home for our daughter’s 16th birthday getaway with our family. Upon arrival we noticed the beautiful landscaping. So much detail put into each area of the yard. When we walked in we immediately loved the open kitchen and living room space, great for entertaining our group for the weekend. We made all our meals there for the weekend and found the kitchen to be very well stocked with all we needed to cook for our group. We had plenty of plates, bowls, cups and silverware. We got everyone settled in there rooms and they all had everything we needed for a cozy nights sleep. I will note the beds were super comfortable!! There are 3 full bathrooms which made getting our larger group ready a breeze. We spent most of our time outside by the pool . This area is just perfection. The pool is a great size and the hot tub was very spacious and comfortable. This home was more than we ever thought it was going to be and our only disappointment was that we weren’t staying longer. We can’t wait to book again!!

"Everything about this place was amazing--my 9 year old niece squealed with delight on arrival. Everything is as represented in the listing, absolutely gorgeous & well-appointed (including quality cookware and knives, for those who cook). With 11 of us, aged 9-79, there was plenty to do and plenty of space to spread out. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, hot tub, game room, and grill, and spent most days relaxing at the house, cooking or ordering delivery, entertained by the wildlife: blue-tailed skinks, frogs, bunnies, and the sound of cicada. A few short excursions: hiking Hooker Falls & Holly Road trails, exploring downtown Asheville. This property is so private, yet so convenient. The dryer wasn't working when we arrived, but Yonder responded quickly via text. The ONLY drawback: ants (it was rainy while we were there, and they tend to come in when the ground is wet)--keep open food off the counters & they don't cause much trouble.

We grilled on the deck, watched movies on the huge internet connected TV in the main living area, played tons of ping pong in the game room and spent countless hours lounging by the pool/hot tub. This place had it all and we plan to stay again the next time we visit the Asheville area. We highly recommend the Mountain Laurel Oasis.

Beautiful Property for a Getaway

"Beautiful property to get away from everything yet be close to things as well. It was clean, well cared for. My family enjoyed the pool and game room. The beds were comfortable. The only downside was that the walls/ceilings seem a little on the thin side side so privacy could be an issue for some. Would happily stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great getaway

"We took the family here for Memorial Day weekend. The house was amazing!! Plenty of bedrooms for everyone. The kids loved the knook bed at the bottom of the stairs. There was so much to do. One nite we ate s’mores at the fire pit. Everyone loved the heated pool and hanging out at night under the gazebo. Plus there was a garage full of games and ping pong! So close to a ton of breweries and great shopping. Will definitely be coming back!!

Your private resort, a true Oasis

"Arriving at Mountain Laurel Oasis, immediately walking through the doors, your stress melts away. And not knowing what to expect, we were blown away by how beautifully decorated, and tranquil this home and property are. Right nearby, we found exciting restaurant choices, unique shops, and an expansive grocery store. Our adventures exploring Mills River and Asheville took us from beautiful walking and running trails to incredible breweries and famous restaurants. Nestled amongst beautiful landscaping, the pool and game room annex are like having your own private resort. Sitting by the fire pit with the crisp evening air while enjoying a glass of wine was a simple delight. By the time our stay was ending, we were already planning our return. Asheville is a special place for us, with something extraordinary for everyone. Leaving Mountain Laurel Oasis was our only regret. Luxurious and cozy, this is home away from home will be on our forever list when we need a getaway. See you out there... Tim & Jen

Heaven on Earth!

"I'm a coast to coast vacation home renter and this one is one of my favorites ever! Tucked away with gorgeous grounds, beautiful home, a pool and gaming area. Definitely an Oasis but just 15 minutes to downtown Asheville. House is so cool and party of 6 fit with rooms to spare. Loved waking up in the morning to the blooming plants and butterflies. We had so much fun in the gaming area one night that we skipped our in town plans and stayed in to play games and hang out around the fireplace. We have already booked another trip for this year at the Oasis and two for next year so I don't mind sharing how great the place is! With all the space and things to do, we may even invite extended family!

Beautiful mountain retreat

"I would highly recommend this property for a family gathering or friend getaway. I just spent a few days with friends on this beautiful property. It felt like a secluded oasis in the mountains. We played for hours in the game room and spent every night by the fire pit. All meals were eaten outside on the spacious deck. The grounds are beautiful and the home has a cozy mountain cabin feel with all of the amenities. I cannot wait to go back.

Great Getaway

"The best of a mountain getaway can be found here. So many options, but first, the actual place. This authentic log cabin is set in a pretty landscape of native trees, and green lawns, surrounded by a split rail fence, your blood pressure will immediately drop ten points, and that’s before you might notice the pool and firepit. The house is enveloped in a wrap around deck, have your breakfast with a mountain view. You might even get a glimpse of the Brevard white squirrel – we did!. Inside, all the comforts of home, elevated. My towels are not this fluffy! Comfortable beds and common areas, lots of bathrooms for privacy. Everything you need to cook, or menus and suggestions for local eateries. (Apollo Flame is outstanding!) We enjoyed relaxing in the hammock, resting in the swing, and playing all the games in the garage game room – especially ping pong and that dueling basketball game! The kids, and everyone else, will be hooked, it’s a great hangout area, rain or shine. We also enjoyed the shopping. Outlets are ten minutes away, and the eclectic shops in Asheville, only 20 minutes. Lots of fun restaurants, local and chains. We loved Mary’s Burritos, Mills River Creamery, The Blue Agave, and Apollo Flame. We also spend an afternoon checking out the local breweries, Mills River, Sierra Nevada, and Burning Bush, all within five miles. If you go to Asheville, you must go to The Battery Bookstore and Champagne Bar, and pick something up from Old Europe Pastries. Will definitely return – can’t wait to plan our next visit.
