Welcome to Morgan Branch Cabin! This simple, open, modern, stylish, and sophisticated cabin is the perfect place for your quiet and peaceful mountain retreat. Located in the rural area of Marshall, you’ll be in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and all it has to offer. Just 15 minutes to downtown Marshall or Mars Hill for shopping and dining. Also, just 35 minutes to downtown Asheville!

As you enter the cabin, you will be greeted with an abundance of natural light, an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and concrete floors. The design is upscale, modern and minimalistic while still being cozy and welcoming.

The expansive southwestern mountain views are second to none. Offering a large living/kitchen/dining area, that will allow for all to gather and create memories. Start a fire in the wood stove to take the chill off or fire up the projector with a Roku device for streaming all your favorite shows or movies.

There are 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with two twins. The cabin has a large bathtub and a shower, and is family friendly. You’ll have access to 16 acres of private land to explore during your stay. Morgan Branch Cabin will have you coming back for years and years!

"Our stay at Morgan Branch was a truly relaxing escape. This is a seriously great house. The view is beautiful, it is very private and quiet. The euro-modern style with the wood-burning stove, provided a comfortable and inspiring atmosphere. The thoughtful supplies added a touch of convenience, making our time there even more enjoyable. It was hard to leave such a well-curated retreat, and we highly recommend it for anyone seeking a modern, cozy, and relaxing getaway.

"We stayed at Morgan Branch Cabin. The home is a schandiavian inspired setting with full sliding doors that give you a million dollar view of the valley. Full of wildlife. The home is perfectly done with everything you will need. Before getting to the home I would stop at the grocery store because you are kinda out there which is what we wanted. Amazing, we are going back in August.

Awesome View!

"The view is awesome. It's 30 minutes to Asheville. If you're into Astronomy, the porch faces South. My husband (amateur astronomer) brought his camera, so sad no clear skies. My Atmospheric Science student was happy with the weather. The house comes with everything you need in the way of pots/pans. I enjoyed listening to the goats/cows down the hill. Recommendations for guest: 1. Arrive to the house in the daylight. The hill to the house is curvy (4-wheel drive is a good thing). Watch out for deer. 2. Make sure to look at the fridge before going grocery shopping. The fridge is a bit small and there isn't a whole lot of space to put extra items. However, we just used one end of the dining table. 3. Ingles is expensive- compared to our local grocery store. May consider shopping for certain items prior to arrival. Recommendation for homeowner: 1. Would be nice, if a broom/dustpan was offered for specific cleaning. We would stay here again.

Perfect Location!

"This was literally the best vacation rental stay we've had - and we've stayed in a lot of rentals. The location was perfect - near the adorable towns of Marshall and Mars Hill, easy jumping off point for some great hikes in the Pisgah and the Cherokee National Forests, but removed enough that we felt like we were truly unplugged. The house was PERFECT for a family of 4. Tons of options to read, do puzzles, play, enjoy the view, observe nature, and explore a bit around the cabin. Extremely well decorated - not cluttered but cozy. The wood burning stove puts out some serious heat and added great ambience. Everything felt extremely clean. I'm usually anxious about cleanliness in rentals, and I didn't bat an eye at Morgan Branch Cabin. The kitchen and supplies were more well stocked than I anticipated, as were the bathrooms. Everything was honestly perfect. Don't miss this one.

"We love our time at Morgan Branch Cabin. We could not take our eyes of the ever changing views of the mountains, valley, and spectacular fall foliage. The home has a beautiful design and the wall of windows helped us feel like we were outside. We enjoyed our time on the sunny deck. We highly recommend AWD/4WD in all seasons for the long steep dirt driveway. House is best for couple or family with small children.

"If you think the pictures of this place are breathtaking, just wait until you actually get there. The cabin is beautifully built with attention to detail, and is extremely well appointed with everything you need for a wonderful trip. We pulled at least 15-20 fantastic books off the shelf and enjoyed them on rainy afternoons, we played games at the dining table, cooked big meals in the well stocked kitchen, enjoyed the breathtaking views, and even took in a movie on the provided projector. We look forward to going back to this cabin soon!

Private Oasis, Incredible Views

"Wow! If you are looking for a private oasis with incredible mountain views, this is the place for you. It is a wonderful combination of new/modern furniture and appliances but with a cozy feel. But honestly, the views are truly what make this place. The whole front of the main living space is floor to ceiling windows (per the pictures). Regardless of the weather, you can see for miles - all the way to Mt. Pisgah. The kitchen had everything needed (although we had to adjust to not having a microwave for leftovers) and the beds were comfy. This is well designed for families with kids. My other favorite feature was the bathtub. So incredibly decadent and the products were also local and lovely. Binoculars were provided for the great bird watching and we did one of the several puzzles at the house. Thank you for a great stay and we look forward to returning.

"The view is spectacular. The house itself was great. Definitely a more remote location and not very much room to explore around the house even though it is surrounded by land. They did have games for the kids to keep them busy in the morning before leaving for the day. Well appointed kitchen but took a minute to get acquainted as things aren’t very organized. Overall, it was a great stay!

"The photos are beautiful and still don’t do the space or the view justice. The cabin itself is stunning and feels like a true retreat, but still with little welcoming touches to make it a home away from home (the books, stocked kitchen for cooking, and art). The entire space seems designed to highlight the view, which is breathtaking. I was in town for hiking and ended up cutting some days short just to have more time at the cabin. Laura and the Yonder team are great hosts—super generous and responsive. I can’t recommend this space enough!

"Morgan Branch cabin is a lovely retreat in a secluded, beautiful landscape. From the moment we arrived, the location took our breath away. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sun set over the mountains and viewing the wildlife from the deck and windows. The bedrooms were comfortable and boasted the same great views of the mountain side. Having two bathrooms with options for either a nice tub soak or a rainfall shower was a great feature for our stay. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything needed for meal preparation, serving, and storage. The book and game selection is superb for those looking for some quiet entertainment. The Roku/screen projector was also easy to use and a great way to watch a movie with family/friends. We loved our stay and hope to return in the fall for leaf season and to rejuvenate once more.

"A stay at Morgan Branch Cabin is a true gift. We arrived during a storm and the house took us in and made us feel cozy and warm and safe. We awoke the next morning to clear skies and a stunning mountain view. The front deck is the perfect place to sit with a cup of coffee and a good book (of which there are many to choose) or to lay out a yoga mat. The mountain air is restorative; to breathe that air is to remember what it was like to think clearly. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare and enjoy meals. Every room of the house is comfortable, functional, and beautiful. It is clear that the furniture, appliances and fixtures were all chosen with intention and love for this home. After your stay here, you won't drive back down the mountain different. But you will be changed, for better. So block the time; spend the money. You may not deserve it, but the people who have to spend time around you probably do.

"My husband, daughter, and I recently stayed for a long weekend. The drive in is beautiful and I recommend driving during the day rather than night because of the curves, and the beauty. The cabin is on a hill high above the valley with the most gorgeous views (pictures cannot capture) and large open windows in every room (we were greeted by wild turkey and deer each morning). We had so much fun exploring the land, and digging into their incredible collection of books. We also cooked a lot & LOVED the stove! Secluded, warm & the perfect touch of minimal. We will definitely be back!

"There is so much to say about why this place is amazing but I will start w/ the aesthetic beauty. It is filled with natural light, & the entire south face of wall of the main living space is a glass wall that looks out over the valley & distant mountains! It is modern & bright and I can imagine coming here to spend some time in creative repose. There also happens to be a wonderfully curated library of books that would delight any literature lover offering a wealth of novels, poetry, philosophy and more. The bathtub in the main bedroom is fit for a king/queen & is completely luxurious. The beds are very comfortable & the linens are of high quality. We enjoyed playing games as a family and watching a family movie projected onto the big screen in the living room while the wood stove provided additional warmth and a cozy fire light. We are so glad that we had the chance to enjoy this very special retreat & for the family memories that we created here.

"I cannot say enough about how magical this place is. It is beautiful, with incredible long range views. The interior of the home is beautifully styled and well maintained. It is one of the best spots I have stayed at. Imagine waking up in the mornings just as the sun is coming up, sipping a cup of coffee while looking out at a gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and listening the birds chirp. Absolute serenity.

Charming Mountain Cabin

"The minute I pulled up to this charming mountain cabin I was blown away by the view and the peaceful silence. It was literally a breath of fresh air. This is simply one of my favorite rental homes that I have ever visited. As a kid my grandparents owned a cabin at Beech Mountain. I had associations with mountain cabins having dark colors, small windows etc. This is the opposite of that. It is simple, open, modern, stylish, sophisticated and comfortable. I was immediately drawn to the bookshelves.There are so many amazing books on those shelfs. I could easily stay there for a week and just read in peace and solitude with the amazing view and the soft natural light and soothing, smooth concrete floors with beautiful rugs. There is so much privacy. You can easily walk around unclothed in this cabin with its huge windows / high ceilings and nobody would see you except for the birds. This Yonder rental is perfect for a personal artist retreat or a romantic getaway.
