This luxury home affords a luxury stay & a plethora of outdoor activity spaces, nearby fishing & hiking amidst mountain splendor. Laurelwood, convenient to the Tryon International Equestrian Center, has become one of the most popular homes in our Yonder luxury portfolio, and is quickly becoming one of the most requested! It is not surprising when you put a terrific home together with a simply spectacular location & amenities.

Location: Private home located just outside of downtown Tryon, on private acreage, accessed by paved and minimal grade driveway, accessible year-round. Just 5 minutes outside of downtown Tryon, & app. 15 minutes to TIEC. You are under 45 minutes south of downtown Asheville. You are less than 30 minutes to Asheville Regional airport, and 20 minutes to downtown Hendersonville. You can virtually walk to both Harmon Field and downtown Tryon.

What You Can Expect: Laurelwood is a private, truly southern custom home, located on a private mountain estate, at the top of the elevated knoll, affording the feel of southern charm and luxury.   Get ready to be “wowed” by this spectacular modern, yet historic feeling, southern style retreat estate.

With soaring vistas, high ceilings, vaulted spaces, and hard wood floors, you will immediately feel at home at Laurelwood. (That is of course if you can tear yourself away from the massive and luxurious front porch, & actually venture inside!) The great room, with stone fireplace, and fully equipped gourmet kitchen, is where everyone will want to gather to enjoy their time together inside the house. But, if you need some “alone time”, there is plenty of space inside and out to find your own serenity. There are multiple outside porches, decks, and patios for ultimate outdoor relaxation. You have a kids playground, a Garage Game Room, & the 2nd Floor Game Room, for hours of enjoyment and relaxation. And of course you have the POOL and hot tub.

It is VERY easy to access the home, via only paved roads, and close to downtown Tryon. The home affords year round access, does NOT require 4-wheel drive, and is NOT off any steep rural mountain roads; easily accessible to downtown Tryon. The home is situated on a couple acres of mountain property, affording private, safe places for kids to play & explore, adults to take a hike, and everyone to relax & enjoy the quiet neighborhood. And of course there is the amazing amenities; POOL, hot tub, Game Room, stunning front porch, and more!

Kids love getting out in and around the expansive yard, and running around the property, playing on the playground & exploring the other outdoor areas. The expansive pool-deck/patio areas are just off the Kitchen/Great Room & just out the door, and off the Master Suite. All of these afford additional outdoor space to relax & unwind. While everyone enjoys the outdoor pool area, you can pull up a chair and take in the wooded view, observe the night as it fills with stars, and watch the fireflies come out to play in your backyard, or chilling on the front porch.

Of course you are in horse country, and the TIEC. The Tryon International Equestrian Center is a year round venue located in Mill Spring, NC and is the world’s premier Equestrian Lifestyle Destination showcasing some of the top riders in the Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Eventing disciplines.

This property is also just a short drive from the quaint village of Tryon. Enjoy all sorts of new restaurants, shops, and a growing small-town America downtown vibe, with festivals and other activities year-round.

You are just minutes from America’s favorite scenic byway, The Blue Ridge Parkway, motorcycle touring, biking, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, Segway tour…just about any outdoor activity! Or, take a quick ride to downtown Asheville to enjoy the first-rate restaurants, shopping, galleries, spas, and entertainment.

This swimming pool is open seasonally, from approximately mid-May through September, depending on weather.

Events: Events are allowed at this property for up to 50 guests.   NOTE: ALL Events will have fees associated with hosting an Event, and determined/finalized once a guest head-count is shared. Quiet Policy: Please note that the home is located in a very private, quiet and exclusive development. Parties, loud noise and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and their development.

Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

PETS: Many of our guests have allergies so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction. If you have a pet we can recommend some alternatives nearby.

Pool open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend annually.

"Everything was Perfect! It was literally like a home away from home! We had everything we needed. The house was so comfortable and just right for our group of 7! Our young adults/ teens loved the upstairs area with the pool table, as well as the hot tub and ping pong table. My husband loved being able to kick back and watch football in the den. The dining room was a bonus! It was so nice to be able to sit and eat together. There are so many places we did not get to see and things we did not get to do. If we ever visit the area again, we will for sure want to stay at Laurelwood again.

"Our family was lucky to have found this gem for our vacation to the mountains. Tryon is a small town, but everything about the town was wonderful. Lovely shops & local eateries. The stay at Laurelwood was wonderful too. Ping pong in the garage, pool table upstairs and plenty of places thoughout the home to sit and relax. Not to mention all of the unique home accents and design; everything was truly amazing! The front porch and backyard were each their own little escapes too. Couldn't be happier with our selection!

"This home is impeccable. All of the amenities at your finger tips. We rented because it had a pool. Bonus - a huge hot tub as well! So many rooms and so much to do just at the house it seemed like we should have refrained from taking outings because the home was so wonderful.

"Everything was great! We booked this location last minute due to a winter storm that ruined our previous vacation plans. The house was very clean and is in a great area. The town of Tryon has great shops and restaurants to go to, which my friends and I explored on a rainy day. We also did a lot of hiking during our trip, so the hot tub was such a great perk! We all enjoyed our stay and will enjoy the memories we made.
