Quite Lovely

"We found the home quite lovely, very well furnished and decorated by someone with excellent taste, clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with just about everything you could want except for an air fryer. Location was great, only 10 minutes down the mountain into town, but you felt like you were in a forest all to yourself even though there are other houses nearby, they are not easily visibleThe only complaint that I can mention is that there is an unpleasant odor from time to time that drifts across the outdoor covered porch on the upper level. I suspect there’s a cracked sewer clean out line somewhere in the yard. As others have mentioned, the driveway is quite steep on the way down to the house and back up to the road, but it is level at the parking area by the house. Apparently, the road on which the house is located is frequently used by motorcycles as they race their way up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, we heard them almost every day. We did see quite a few bears roaming across the property during our visit, but none that were a nuisance.

"We had such a great time here! It was the perfect place to unplug and spend a few days surrounded by nature. The views were absolutely unbelievable, and we found ourselves just sitting outside taking it all in. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We’d definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway

"We had an incredible stay at this mountain cabin and can't wait to return! The location was perfect – peaceful and secluded while still being conveniently accessible. The views were stunning and we loved being surrounded by nature. The layout of the house worked beautifully for our group. The space flowed well and gave everyone room to spread out while still feeling cozy and connected. We especially appreciated how thoughtfully designed everything was. The decor was tasteful and created such a warm, inviting atmosphere. It felt like a true home away from home, not an impersonal rental. Every detail showed the owner's care and attention. Our host was responsive and made check-in seamless. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a mountain retreat. It exceeded our expectations in every way!

Perfection!

"Perfection! This home is a perfect combination of space, coziness and convenience. The house is very well appointed and left us wanting for nothing. Our favorite spot was the porch, which offered beautiful views of the mountains, plenty of room to get comfy by the fire and provided the perfect spot to watch football and make dinner on the grill. In addition, it was a delight to prepare meals in the kitchen and we found ourselves hanging out there several times a day. The dining room table was the perfect size for our party of 8 to eat and play games well into the night. All this and only a stones throw from downtown Asheville, The Biltmore, Grove Park Inn and hiking trails. We were already planning our next stay while we packed up! We will be back! Hillside Cottage was perfect. Thank you for creating such a wonderful getaway for our family.

Amazing

"The check-in process was amazing. They were kind enough to let us check in two hours early… Upon arriving the house was immaculate. The pictures themselves do not do justice to the house amazing views plenty of space for a large group would definitely go back and stay there again… And don’t be like me and not believe that there are bears there the morning of checkout about 160 pound blackbear was in the backyard so he their warning do not leave food out. He was looking for food… It was an amazing view to see nature and I actually see a bear running through the backyard. I highly recommend this house for Stay… The owners responded quickly. Every time I had a question which were very few they were very accommodating. I wish everyone and every facility could be like this

Stunning Property

"Breathtaking views, very comfortable accommodations, and appropriately appointed. The home was a perfect spot for a quick long weekend getaway for 4 couples. Downtown Asheville is less than a 10 minute drive. However, the more time we spend in Asheville, the more we've opted for more in-home dinners/evenings when we rent a property like Hillside Cottage - the views are spectacular. The driveway is steep - no joke! Also, the Yonder staff have always been incredibly responsive and accommodating. Looking forward to revisiting Hillside Cottage!

An Amazing Place

"While the pictures of this home are beautiful—the actual place exceeded our high expectations. Everything in the home was immaculate, the views were stunning, and the location to downtown Asheville was as advertised (7-min). Pictures of the mountains from the main deck just cannot do the view justice—and you get this beautiful view from so many places in the home. If you are considering this property—you will be blown away by every aspect of it. And this includes Yonder who were extremely responsive and accommodating. When spending time away with friends/family, you want everything to be perfect—and this place is exactly that!

Wonderful Stay

"Incredibly stunning, as good as the photos are, they still don't even do this place justice. Inside and out, just a great place to stay. Everything you need to know will be in an app they built, which makes it very easy to find what you need. You really are minutes away from downtown. Every room was exactly as described and pristine. Drive way is a steep down and up, have a good rental if you are driving. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Girls Weekend Perfection

"Hillside Cottage was the perfect setting for a girls weekend. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing in the morning and evenings. The driveway was definitely steep, but once you go down and up once, you get the hang of it. I would absolutely recommend this place!

"My fiancé and I spent a week with another couple and had the most amazing time! The house is absolutely beautiful! Our time spent on the porch in the morning with coffee and that view was definitely a great way to start our day! We loved how close to everything the house was. We were constantly on the go with touring Biltmore house & gardens, white water rafting, wonderful hiking close by, and hitting up the great downtown breweries! Well done!

"Asheville is such a wonderful place to vacation. Incredible mountain hikes, outstanding restaurants, Biltmore, exploring downtown, and more we were thrilled to have discovered the perfect gem of Hillside Cottage. Not only is this home beautifully decorated it is also comfy & cozy. The upper level deck is beyond compare. The gorgeous, unique chandelier, the fireplace, the view, and the comfort of the outdoor furnishings makes for a magical experience. The inside has much to offer as well. We had such fun playing cards and other games at comfortable tables & chairs. This is a perfect getaway for a family and even has room to bring friends for more fun. It’s also minutes from downtown. We will definitely book here again. Thank you Hillside Cottage for a memorable trip.

"This enchanting Hillside Cottage will NOT disappoint! We had the immense pleasure of hosting our family reunion here, and every single family member, spanning all ages, delighted in the experience. First and foremost, the views are breathtaking. We spent countless hours basking in the natural beauty from the numerous porches, fully immersed in the serenity of the outdoors. Whether lounging on the porch swings or rocking chairs, grilling in the summer kitchen, or sharing stories by the firepit/fireplaces at sunset, every moment was magical. We created unforgettable memories that our family cherishes, so much so that we are considering making it an annual tradition at Hillside Cottage. We have had the opportunity to stay at many different rental homes over the years and this one is, by far, our best experience! "All I can say is wow! I’ve been renting short term rentals for the past 3 decades and can honestly say this home was and should be the benchmark for a 5 star review. From the moment you enter the front door the overwhelming warmth that washes over you is amazing. The home is definitely large enough to accommodate a family and quaint enough to be very romantic. Just the deck, views and ambiance are unforgettable . You can tell that the owners are experienced at providing a 5 star experience not only from the furnishings but as well the details of the high quality linens and bedding. "Dreamy home away from home! We spent hours enjoying the incredible view from the back porch living space. Fireside chats with comfortable lounging made memories that we are still talking about! The interior touches in this home are five star. The kitchen is a cook’s dream. So many spaces in the home to gather together or to squirrel away by yourself, if you’d rather. You won’t want to leave this place!
