Tucked into more than 10 private acres in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Graceland Mountain Cottage is not your average cabin rental. Built in 2022, this thoughtfully designed mountain escape offers sweeping, long-range views of Nantahala National Forest from virtually every corner of the property—whether you’re soaking in the hot tub, gathering around one of the fire pits, or simply sitting still and taking it all in.

No neighbors. No noise. Just you, the mountains, and all the space you need.

THE COTTAGE
The main cottage is warm, modern, and immediately comfortable—the kind of place where you drop your bags and exhale. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, it is designed for couples or small families who want to feel at home in the mountains without sacrificing comfort.

Starlink high-speed internet is available throughout the entire property, so whether you’re working remotely or simply streaming after a long day on the trail, you’re covered.

THE PRIVATE GUEST SUITE
Need a little extra space—or simply a little more privacy? The detached lower-level suite has its own private entrance, deck, living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and full bathroom.

Awesome Getaway

"We arrived at night, but the outside of the house/driveway was well lit. The next morning we were able to take in the beautiful mountain views and walk the expansive property and its trails. It is a great location with end of the road privacy and absolutely no traffic noise. It was an awesome getaway and I highly recommend this home.

Flyfishing Getaway

"This property is far enough away from the towns and parks to be peaceful but close enough to get to them easily. The cabin has plenty of room for 4 adults with everything needed for a pleasant visit. The deck is perfect for the sunset and the porch for sunrise! March is not the best month for fishing since North Carolina stocks that month and many of the rivers are closed.

We Loved Our Stay!

"We loved our stay at Graceland! We enjoyed gazing at the stars from the balcony before we went to sleep and then waking up to the mountains. My daughter and I played ALL the games at the property, and it was the perfect place to relax and have fun after long days out exploring. The rocking chairs, hammock, hot tub, gnome garden, and hiking trail on the property were lovely touches!

Beautiful House

"Overall this property was amazing! I would definitely stay here again. This trip was for myself and two friends. The kitchen is well equipped as are the bedrooms and bathrooms. This house is very clean and modern. The pictures of the main floor represent exactly how it looks. The only minor flaw with the listing pictures is the game area downstairs. Half of the area is dirt covered area so it wasn’t ideal for us to hang out there. This wasn’t a priority for us, so it does not deter the good rating but sharing for awareness to others. The hiking trail is a short one on property. This house is conveniently located to downtown Franklin and we thoroughly enjoyed the back back porch!

"Best VRBO we've stayed in yet. The house is exceptionally tastefully decorated and well executed. Fantastic views off the back porch and good parking area and turn around.Access the first time may be a little daunting as the road is a moderately steep, narrow gravel and dirt. Once familiar, no worries. I did it five times on a motorcycle.The kitchen equipage is over the top. Terrific selection of quality cooking and serving utensils. Whoever did that was paying attention. Good internet and cell service there.

Paradise in the mountains

"This has to be the best solo birthday vacation I’ve ever been on! Thank you Derek and Kelly Ann for your kindness! This place is Priceless, unforgettable and one of the best experiences you’ll ever have period! Secluded, relaxing, a sense of calm like no other, the place has room for everyone, a small rv for two, a large rv for 6 and a two story house equipped with a cold plunge, huge hot tub, walking trails with some lighting, outdoor activities like frisbee golf, games for kids and adults, fire pits in three locations along with 3 different mountain lookout pads! There’s even the small country town of Franklin NC with store fronts that were stuck in time filled with great food and nightlife, but once you arrive here you may not want to go anywhere, just unplug and relax! The mountain views are 5k plus elevation! Did I mention there’s wifi! I’ve been to destinations all over the planet, and this is by far now my favorite place!

"Graceland Mountain Retreat located in the Western Mountains of North Carolina was heavenly. Core memories were made among my Daughter, Granddaughters & I. Luxury bedding with the best mattresses we have ever slept on. The views alone with the serenity it offers is beyond compare. Start your morning out back while standing or sitting with a hot cup of whatever listening to the chirping of birds and the mild wind rustling against the trees will make all your worries disappear. The walking trail on the property is enough to get your heart pumping. All you need to prep meals are available with the grocery stores available near you. I look forward to visiting again. PS: We left six walking sticks incase the next visitors wanted to hike. Compliments of mother nature.

"Beautiful cabin, very comfortable with the best mattress we’ve ever slept on. We spent 3 nights there and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet. "A truly peaceful nature retreat. We really enjoyed the surrounding area and hiking trails. The town of Franklin, NC has some nice gems in it. We took a day trip up to The Highlands as well, which has some scenic waterfalls along the way. A couple of callouts for others: 1)The GPS directions on Waze are incorrect. Use Google Maps or request the GPS coordinates for the beginning of the driveway. 2) The keypad for the driveway gate is right at the beginning of the driveway, not near the gate. 3) The "coffee machine" in the house is a Keurig, and there were no K-Cups, so make sure to bring your own K-Cups, or your own coffee maker. 4) There is a Ring doorbell camera on the front porch, which was mentioned in the listing. Just be mindful of that in case you're expecting complete privacy

"…..imagine our surprise to find this lovely and very private home looking out over several mountain ranges! Our first visit to Franklin became our favorite vacation in years thanks to our host’s thoughtfulness in providing everything needed to just relax and enjoy the privacy. Furnished with style and taste this is an absolutely perfect getaway. Located close to town, a short and beautiful country drive lead us to a private gated entrance and a lovely lane leading up to this beautiful place. Located on acreage with no neighbors in sight this like new home welcomed us warmly. We couldn’t imagine not visiting again someday soon! Truely a five star experience.

I never want to leave!!

"So much to do on this property! I enjoyed my nightly glass of wine down by the wishing tree and over at the gazebo. We had a fire up top a couple nights and most the time we just enjoyed hanging in the front porch at night watching all the firefly’s. There is this really cute gnome home up in the island and there’s a great walking trail as well. We ate at JR chophouse in downtown Franklin and hiked some new trails in Sylva. We were in a good location not far from some really great places. The weather was great! Nothing like waking up to those mountains every morning. We saw several deer in the front yard. I just love this place!!

Perfect guys getaway

"Me and my 2 buddies took a much needed guys weekend to Graceland. We enjoyed the fire pits, the disc golf was a blast and we really liked how close it was to some amazing AT trails. We did a lot of hiking during the day and enjoyed relaxing at night in the house. It is so quiet and peaceful up there. We enjoyed just hanging on the deck grilling and chilling. Such a cool place in Franklin!!!

"This was a perfect place for our family weeklong getaway to the mountains!! The house and surrounding property is perfect. We loved the back porch for nightly drinks and morning coffees. We had plenty to do in the area. Trips to Bryson, Sylva and Highlands. The house had everything we needed and it was the coziest place!! We would highly recommend and will stay again. The fire pit was great at night to relax and watch the shooting stats.

Truly As good As it gets

"Been in the hospitality business for over 35 years. Therefore, I definitely know the difference between a good place and a great place… this one is by far the best of all the cabins & locations I’ve stayed at for the past several years. Considering the reasonable rates, you cannot possibly get a better deal. Whomever built and furnished this place, put in a lot of TLC completing and getting it ready for occupancy. There is nothing in this place that doesn’t work perfectly. Everything is new and efficient. The view on the balcony is out of this world. Location is few min from an adorable little town called Franklin. Exactly what we were looking for and expecting for our overdue mini trip to the mountains. Y’all need to seriously consider renting this place for your upcoming vacation.

Peaceful Mountains

"Graceland Mountain is in the most perfect part of Franklin. It’s rural enough to be peaceful and close enough to town to be convenient. I love the house!!! Heaven on Earth

"This home is gorgeous!! It is very cozy and peaceful. No better feeling than having a coffee on the back deck, listening to the birds and watching deer frolic in the field. At night the shooting stars are unreal!! The wishing tree is my favorite spot to relax with nature. There is plenty of great hikes not far from the property and I found myself wanting to spend more time at the property than anything. Those 2 weeks left me feeling refreshed and renewed!!
