In Western North Carolina, you can hop on a tube and float the beautiful Green River this summer near the mountain towns of Saluda and Flat Rock! This clear, cool stretch of river winds through a forested gorge with rocky banks, shaded bends, mountain scenery, and just enough movement to keep the ride fun. Much of the float feels calm and easy, but small Class I and II rapids add a few splashes along the way without turning it into a rough whitewater trip. As you drift downstream, you may pass rope swings, quiet swimming spots, and other tubers enjoying the same laid-back mountain river feel. The area is also part of the larger Green River Game Lands, a state-owned outdoor area known for forested river scenery, wildlife habitat, fishing, and rugged mountain terrain. Green River Adventures offers 2-hour and 3-hour tubing options on the Lower Green River, including single and double tubes, while Green River Cove Tubing has been a family-owned outfitter in Saluda since 1982 offering tubing fun here as well...making for a couple of the area's best options for tubing experiences!

Couldn’t’ve been happier

"My wife and I were looking for respite from the chaos of life with a mountain view. We couldn't have been happier. Lovely, well stocked house. Description is accurate. 30 min drive from Hendersonville (half of which are mountain roads). There are neighbors within view but we felt very private. We enjoyed the pine plank floors. We'd go back again and plan to recommend to friends looking for the same experience.

Great Location

"The location and the house where great. The view of the mountains was beautiful and the glass doors make it visible from the den. The beds and den furniture were super comfortable. I would say we had a peaceful relaxing stay. There is not central air. There are two window units and a couple of floor fans to help circulate the cold air. Due to the picture on the site, I was expecting a nice table and chairs on the deck. There was only one chair on the deck and no table. There was also no ice maker in the freezer and no ice trays to make ice. I contacted Yonder and they were very prompt responding and brought us a bag of ice and 6 ice trays. Be aware there is not a garbage can outside to dispose of your trash. The place to put your trash is a community trash disposal down the road.

"Renting from Yonder was the best experience I’ve ever experienced! Tiger Paws was perfect! I enjoyed the fact I was close to things and out in the secluded when at Cabin! The place was clean, well maintained and had everything needed to enjoy the stay. Wouldn’t consider going anywhere else when I’m looking to vacation in Asheville. "Tiger Pause was so lovely! The views from the deck are stunning. The house was perfectly clean, well-stocked, and very comfortable! We had so much fun at the bonfire pit and the extra running around space. We have already recommended to friends and family and will go stay there again. Amazing Place!

"This place was amazing!! Plenty of room for 6 to be comfortable whether we were inside or outside. We enjoyed the porch for hours at a time, the view was gorgeous. We made smores around the fire, there was plenty of wood and we were able to pick up sticks for kindling. We explored the surrounding area, went tubing on the river and did some hiking at Chimney Rock. Our Jeep handled the drive perfectly. When we drove the van with 6 people the drive was a little more difficult. Plenty of kitchen utensils and dishes for cooking. The water pressure was surprisingly strong! This was a beautiful clean place to stay. Very happy with everything!

"This house is in a gorgeous location! It’s a beautiful, scenic drive back into it. The road is winding, so be prepared if you get car sick. The kitchen was well-stocked and the rooms were comfortable. The view off the back deck was our favorite part! It’s located close to multiple hiking locations and also close to Asheville if you’re looking for other things to do.

"we booked for family in town for a wedding. 9 people from grade 3 to mid-40s stayed comfortably. they loved the house and the view. it's a bit of a drive into town and some of the guests loved that and others didn't. everybody said they'd come back again.

Perfect Saluda escape close to downtown but away, peaceful and quiet with views

"We had a wonderful visit, weather was gorgeous. House was just perfect for our family of five. The mountain views and back deck were our favorite enjoyed walks around the neighborhood seeing deer, exploring the nearby waterfall and river, ziplining, tubing, baking at the stocked kitchen etc. We’ll soon return we hope!

Secluded and Great Views!

"This cabin was great for the two families we stayed with. The views were amazing, as the pictures show. The kids enjoyed the board games that were at the cabin. Everything was stocked and mostly clean. It got a little warm in the bedrooms at night but it was a July stay and the A/C unit is in the kitchen, so to be expected. We would definitely book another stay here!

Well Equipped Property in a Beautiful location!

"Tiger Pause was the perfect location for our week away with our pup. The house is amazing. The kitchen is well stocked with every imaginable utensil and it's all high end. We loved the sun room and the beautiful deck and enjoyed the chiminea a few evenings. The only issues we had were around our inability to open the lock on the property requiring a call to the office and rescue by the amazing and kind, Billy (.turned out to be operator error) and a discrepancy on the listing about the type of BBQ there. The copy we read said that there was a gas grill so we brought food to grill and found only a charcoal grill. Again called the office to check it out and, again, Billy showed up fairly quickly with charcoal for us. All in all a wonderful trip. We hope to return and highly recommend it.
