Less than 30 minute drive to the full service grocery store & downtown Burnsville, and immediately adjacent to Mount Mitchell. Less than 30 minutes to downtown Mars Hill, and Marshall. You are also less than 60 minutes to downtown Asheville, and the world famous Biltmore Estate. A little over an hour to the Asheville Airport. The Lodge is only accessed via state-maintained, paved roads. Extreme Winter weather may precipitate use of All-wheel or 4-wheel dive on snowy &/or icy roads. Wonderful Stay

"Our stay at Falling Waters Lodge was wonderful. The house is spacious, true to the photos. The views are gorgeous. The kitchen is well-equipped, too. Burnsville (and Ingles grocery) are a convenient, easy drive from the house. We enjoyed a family reunion (10 people, teenagers to 85 years) at Falling Waters Lodge June 2026. The living rooms, dining spaces, nooks, decks and game spaces were perfect for small and whole group gatherings. No one wanted to leave. Thank you, Yonder and Falling Waters Lodge.

"The Falling Water Lodge was the perfect place for my family to gather while in the area for a celebration of life for our loved ones. The view of Mount Mitchell is expansive and inspirational, a perfect reminder of this favorite and special place. The home has beautiful architectural details and comfortable spaces for recreation and relaxation. We enjoyed the privacy of the bedrooms (each with a view), game rooms (Pool Table and Ping Pong), outdoor fireplace, multiple decks (comfy chairs), open plan w/ well-stocked kitchen, ample dining areas, and private nooks for quiet conversation all while surrounded by the beauty of nature (even spied on a den of foxes). Thank you for sharing your home, we had a wonderful experience!

"Amazing house and great things. Multiple TVs, pool table, ping pong, grill, etc. We loved it. Host responded very fast also to anything that we asked. Neighborhood was affected by hurricane/flood of 2024, but nothing that compromised our stay or access to the house.

"The property was clean and perfect. Great location to the golf course made this house a gem for our weekend golf trip. Would definitely look to stay here again. The one bedroom upstairs with two single beds was a little small for two adults to sleep but utilizing the couch in this private area on the top floor worked out.

"I've stayed here several times and I'm always blown away by the property. Everything from the decor to the scenery is beautiful. There's an uninterrupted, expansive view of the mountains without any buildings in between. It's also very quiet, so it feels like you have the mountains all to yourself. I loved just sitting and watching clouds drift across the side of the mountain, or watching the sun set. We hiked to a nearby waterfall, visited a winery, and spent our time at the house playing games. The house has board games, magnetic Scrabble and ping-pong upstairs, and a pool table downstairs. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and there was also an outdoor grill. We loved our stay here and had an amazing time!

"My adult son and his family, my daughter and her partner, and I rented this house in the mountains for our July vacation. It was an absolutely lovely place. The decks were especially valued for their expansive views of the mountains. The kitchen and dining room table ended up being our regular gathering place, when we weren’t playing ping pong. My 15 year old grandson took over the top floor and appreciated the privacy and cool AC device for just his area. Beds were all extremely comfortable. My son biked on the Blue Ridge Parkway and the rest of us had frequent walks to the golf course and neighborhood hills. Plenty of room and excellent decor. Loved our stay.

Spectacular Views

"Unbelievable views from most every room. Very large, well equipped home perfect for a gathering of 8-11 people. Great pool room, TV area, decks galore for soaking in the spectacular views. So many little nooks to have some quiet time when needed. Bring bags of ice as the ice maker doesn't work-but a very small inconvenience compared to all the positives!

Very Enjoyable Stay

"Gorgeous vacation home and property, offering views of Mt. Mitchell and the woods through windows that stretch three stories tall. There was lots of open space on the main floor: expansive kitchen, plenty of seating for dining and lounging, an outdoor deck, lounge chairs and table, and a breakfast room that doubled for us as an office. With a large TV room and ping pong table upstairs, and a pool table and second TV room downstairs, everyone could do their own thing. The large outdoor fireplace, couch and chairs were the icing on the cake. And everything was clean and fully stocked. It couldn't have been better. Two notes for others. First, there are very few places to eat or shop without a 30 minute drive on windy roads. So take whatever you need in with you. Second, the house sits on a mountain slope up a long, steep driveway. The views and privacy are wonderful, but I wouldn't want to have to drive in or out in ice or snow. Thank you Yonder for a very enjoyable stay!

PERFECT!

"We went for an overdue family vacation and this place was PERFECT! The layout was great; we had 5 adults and 3 kids (ages 8-10) and everyone had their own space and there was plenty of space for everyone to gather as well. We got a lot of rain while we were there so we spent the majority of our week at the cabin which didn't bother anyone in the slightest. There were board games and a pool table and a ping pong table, the view was amazing-and there were plenty of chairs to sit out and enjoy the view in. Everything was exactly what we needed. We definitely plan to make this an annually trip going forward.

"We spent a wonderful week in this home and would definitely recommend it. It was super clean, kitchen is well stocked, we cooked some amazing meals and had everything we needed. The house is very well designed and spacious, was plenty of room for everyone. The views are breathtaking from almost every room in the home. The beds are comfy, sheets were clean and if good quality. The host is wonderful, very responsive, and accommodating. We spend time in this area at least a couple times a year and will definitely be back to this beautiful home. Just note that the GPS will not take you to the home, it will pass it and you’ll find yourself having to turn around on a very steep and narrow mountain road, so pay attention to the house numbers when arriving, and try to get there before dark.

Everything Was Great

"Absolutely stunning views. We spent the days hiking and exploring Asheville (1 hour drive) and then coming back to relax at the house was wonderful! We had a group of 7 and had MORE than enough space. Plenty of dishes. All the cooking pans/utensils we could need. Incredibly inviting and relaxing stay. Will 100% be back. Make sure you stock up before heading up to the house. It's about a 30 minute drive down the mountain to get to a grocery store.

"Home was absolutely beautiful, spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully decorated with modern comforts that blended well into the natural environment of the mountains. Views were absolutely breath taking and we spent a lot of time outside on the very spacious 2nd floor deck. Home had great features and overall was perfect for our family. Provision of sufficient towels, soaps, garbage bags, etc. was a plus. If you plan to enjoy the outings outside of the immediate area, definitely factor in additional travel time (+/- 30 or more minutes depending on which direction you're heading) to get from the home to the main roads. Strongly recommend this home to other guests.

Amazing Place!

"Falling Water Lodge is such an amazing place! The view facing Mount Mitchell from the living room and its multi-leveled decks is breath taking; we literally see the scenery change in front of our eyes from morning till sunset because of the change in light and weather. We’re so taken by the incredible view and hardly want to move around just to make sure not to miss any moment. It turns out we have different angles of the view from every room of the house. We’re surprised to be greeted by the sound of a private waterfall from the natural spring running over mountain rocks, which maybe how it gets the name “Falling Water Lodge.” This place is tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. The beds are so comfortable too. We will be back for sure!

Wow!

"After staying at crowded Gatlinburg for a few days during the visit to Great Smoky Mountains, our group of 10 from 2 families moved to Falling Water lodge for 2 nights while we exploring the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway. Wow! This place has blown us away! It’s such a splurge just like staying in a luxurious mountain retreat. Perched on the hill and invisible from the street below, we had complete privacy and sense of serenity while enjoying the full view of Mt Mitchell. All 5 bedrooms, each with private bathroom, spread among 3 levels, which gave each family plenty of space. Every room is tastefully furnished and very comfortable. The great room serves as formal living and dining with a gourmet kitchen can comfortably accommodate the big group. We also spent much time on the patio decks to soak in the natural scenery surrounding us. Despite the wet weather, we hiked to two nearby waterfalls: Crabtree and Linville Falls. They are awesome! Those who chose to stay indoors had played pool game and ping pong. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! We’ll like to come back in the fall to see autumn colors and explore many nearby trails. Falling Water is no doubt our choice of vacation home.

Wonderful mountain retreat for the whole family

A Perfect Getaway!

"This was a perfect getaway for our family in COVID-19 time . This beautiful home nestled in the mountains, has a jaw dropping view of Mt Mitchell. Sunsets were a feast for the eyes. You can hear the river and birds all day long. We went on many lovely hikes, golfed at Mt Mitchell golf course, had picnics next to the river, drove the Blue Ridge Parkway, visited other little towns, and also threw in some downtime relaxing on the many decks of the house. The house is amazing. Lovely bedrooms and a good kitchen. Pool table for our young adults and a great family room upstairs with a large tv. Outdoor fireplace for nightly wind-downs. There is so much usable space in this house. We were sorry to leave but know we will be back again one day.

Spectacular mountain views

"We really enjoyed our recent part-work/part-vacation time at Falling Water Lodge. It’s the perfect place for a quiet, peaceful getaway. Awesome views both through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows and from the large wrap-around deck (as well as decks on the two other levels!). From seeing the entire mountain range on clear sunny days to watching the clouds roll in over the mountains on rainy days, the view is spectacular no matter the weather or time of day. We especially enjoyed spending time on the large deck hearing the water flowing down the mountain. We were able to work from multiple areas of house and had no problems connecting for Zoom meetings, etc. We could also see the Mount Mitchell Golf Club from the house and will be back to play when it opens!

Perfect for family gathering, child- and pet-friendly

"What an absolutely fabulous week we had at Falling Water Lodge! We gathered with a small group of family to celebrate a birthday, and it was such a fun, memorable week for everyone. The home is beautiful and uniquely built into the side of the mountain with breath-taking views of Mount Mitchell. We absolutely loved the picture window of the small waterfall that greeted us in the entryway, the beautiful spiral staircase, and amazing great room perfect for family gatherings. As we have a toddler and dog, we also very much appreciated the beautiful child/pet gates at the stairs as well as on both side of the main level deck so they could run around. We enjoyed two nearby hikes to Roaring Fork Falls and Setrock Creek Falls (both within a 5-10 minute drive from the home), and the Blue Ridge Parkway is less than a 10 minute drive away as well. The pool and ping pong tables and board games were great for rainy days and evenings. The kitchen is well stocked, and we were able to enjoy daily home-cooked meals during the week. We will be back for future family gatherings!

Beautiful mountain home with waterfall

"We thoroughly enjoyed Fall Water Lodge. The view, the floor to ceiling massive stone fireplace, and the variety of recreational options – pool room with fridge and bar, game room with a big screen TV and a ping pong table, and so much more. A beautiful estate!

Convenient to the Blue Ridge Pkwy and Mt Mitchell

"Falling Water Lodge is by far one of the most enjoyable vacation destinations I’ve been to– beautiful scenery, very well appointed and comfortable home, and relaxation that we all yearned for during the COVID pandemic. Although it’s in the mountains, it’s convenient to markets (for example Ingles on Hwy 19E) and restaurants (a couple of them just down the hill, but several more around the town square in Burnsville). The entrance to Mt Mitchell Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as a short hike to a beautiful waterfall (Roaring Fork Falls), are only minutes away. There are some unique features about this house, one of which we truly appreciate is the design of its incredible spiral staircases. It’s not only beautiful but installed with artistic and convenient childproof gates. It’s the most ideal vacation home for family or large party gatherings. We’ll be celebrating a family birthday there soon again.

Amazing breath taking view

"What an amazing place! The view facing Mount Mitchell from the living room and its multi-leveled decks is breath taking; we literally see the scenery change in front of our eyes from morning till sunset because of the change in light and weather. We’re so taken by the incredible view and hardly want to move around just to make sure not to miss any moment. It turns out we have different angles of the view from every room of the house. We’re surprised to be greeted by the sound of a private waterfall from the natural spring running over mountain rocks, which maybe how it gets the name “Falling Water Lodge.” This place is tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. The beds are so comfortable too. We will be back for sure!
