We want to be upfront about the status of Lake Lure. Hurricane Helene left an unprecedented amount of debris, and while cleanup efforts are underway with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the lake will likely remain closed for the 2025 summer season.But while the water may be off-limits, the magic of Lake Lure is still here—breathtaking views, charming restaurants, local vineyards, scenic trails, Rumbling Bald golf courses, and the Tryon Equestrian Center just 25 minutes away. Your time in Western North Carolina will still be unforgettable, filled with new memories while supporting this resilient community. Welcome to your private cabin escape in the Blue Ridge Mountains! Chateau Laurel is the ultimate luxury log cabin with almost 5,000 square feet of space, that offers cabin seclusion with modern amenities, and with beautiful mountain views, sitting on 3 private acres. Located in the beautiful and historic Lake Lure area, you’re just 15-20 minutes from the beach and waterpark, as well as shops and restaurants.

Expanding over 3 levels, there will be enough space for everyone to breathe and relax! You will immediately notice the detail in the timber frame structure, soaring vaulted ceilings, as well as the custom stone gas fireplace and the wall of windows to take in the view. The spacious great room has plenty of comfortable seating for your group and flows right into the fully equipped kitchen with breakfast nook. The dining room is intimate and a perfect spot to gather for meals, share stories or step outside, where you can soak in the views from the wrap-a-round deck, making memories to last a lifetime.

4 guest rooms have been decorated for our guests in mind with comfortable beds and attention to detail. There is also a separate office for those times you need to get a little work done. Don’t forget to take a stroll around the property, the wonderful landscaping with small pond, nuts and fruit trees is simply exquisite!

Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

Pets: Many of our guests have allergies so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction. If you have a pet we can recommend some alternatives nearby.

"This was our annual pick with another family. The house was perfect for our group. The house is plenty big enough with a bedding options for several age groups. The views are amazing and everything worked. This is a five star home all around.

"Great house, impeccably clean, spacious & comfortable, large deck with comfortable outdoor seating, large parking area for several cars. The movie room would’ve been great if we could’ve figured out how to use it. Apparently the house had smart technology to operate temperatures, lighting & shades, etc. but we found it very difficult. The beds were not very comfortable either. You could tell someone once put a lot of time into the grounds with a large garden, fruit & nut trees & a small pond, but the garden is now overgrown. The house has a lot of potential. Overall, it’s a great house. We’d stay here again.

Surrounded by Peace

"We arrived and felt like we were surrounded by nothing but peace with a breathtaking view of the mountains a few miles away. Immediately you get a whiff of clean mountain air and a dose of beautiful nature sounds that soothe you throughout the day and night there. Coming back from the nearby lake and lounging on the balcony as you take in the views and disconnect from electronics and just relax. Everything was wonderful right down to the private driveway leading to the gorgeous log exterior and paved parking spaces out front, walking in to a gorgeous foyer and taking in the wall of windows with electronically controlled shades, huge vaulted ceiling with a beautiful chandelier. Large spacious living room with gorgeous wood accents everywhere. The fruit trees although not in season were a very nice touch and not to mention being able to wake up in the morning and pick some blueberries and other various fruits, overall this was an amazing stay and would love to visit this home again. 10/10

"What a great mountain getaway spot! Close to anything you need but removed enough to get away and truly relax. The place was spotless and well equipped. Did lack a certain charm with limited decorations, but the inside movie theatre was a huge hit with the family.

Will Not Disappoint

"This is a smart home. We felt safe in this home. We had to take a few minutes to figure out how to enjoy the amenities. Any and I mean any issues were addressed in a timely manner. This house will not disappoint. We found the grounds were full of different fruit trees. We also had some figs from the trees. I loved this house. We did not want to leave!!! My mom didn’t want to leave.

"The house is beautifully and newly built with magnificent windows and views of the gardens/vines. We were there for my husband’s birthday weekend with several overworked and tired friends, so we were more interested in hanging at the house for a couple of days versus spending most of our time on the go. Once a few tweaks are made for those who plan to mainly explore, this home will definitely work.

"I can’t say enough about this home. It is beautiful, spacious, and well equipped for anything you need. Multiple separate areas to spread out. We couldn't find anything to complain about if we tried. The owners have thought of just about everything! We bought groceries before we arrived and had everything we needed to make meals in. The theater room is awesome! You cannot go wrong with this gem. We only had one question for the host and they responded immediately. I would recommend this home 100 times over!
