We want to be upfront about the status of Lake Lure. Hurricane Helene left an unprecedented amount of debris, and while cleanup efforts are underway with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the lake will likely remain closed for the 2025 summer season.But while the water may be off-limits, the magic of Lake Lure is still here—breathtaking views, charming restaurants, local vineyards, scenic trails, Rumbling Bald golf courses, and the Tryon Equestrian Center just 25 minutes away. Your time in Western North Carolina will still be unforgettable, filled with new memories while supporting this resilient community. We are truly grateful for your visit and look forward to welcoming you!

Location: Private home perfect for families and pet friendly, located right on Lake Lure with private lake access & your own docks. You are under 45 minutes to downtown Asheville, and less than 10 minutes to the Town of Lake Lure. You are also app. 35 minutes from the Asheville Regional Airport. Home is accessed via only paved and fully maintained roads, right up to the homes private drive.

Sit on your back porch, relax and sip coffee as you take in the astounding views, along with being able to watch wildlife from your private deck and outdoor areas. Come create your own memorable Lake Lure mountain experience!

The home affords year round access, and is great for groups of any and all ages. The home is situated just outside of the Town of Lake Lure, right on Lake Lure, affording privacy for everyone to relax & enjoy the feel of the WNC mountains, and all that Lake Lure affords. Lake Lure is a vacation community, whose residents are friendly and welcoming to guests, (if you even see them, since the neighborhood has private, densely wooded lots that afford amazing privacy).

Get ready to be “wowed” by the never-ending views from this mountain style lake retreat. With soaring vistas, high ceilings, vaulted rooms, and cozy spaces, you will immediately feel at home at Catawba Lake House. (That is of course if you can tear yourself away from the bi-level decks, hot tub & soaking in the spectacle of the Blue Ridge Mountains overlooking Lake Lure, & actually venture inside!) The mountain lake home affords a comfortable great room, kitchen, a lower level Game Room, plenty of bedroom/baths, direct dock lake access, and MORE; with plenty of space to unwind and gather with your group. But, if you need some “alone time”, there is plenty of space inside and out to find your own serenity. There are 4 outside porches, decks, and patios, and the private hot tub for ultimate outdoor relaxation.

Lake Lure has so much to offer guests; from swimming, kayaking, boating, hiking and walking trails, streams, and much more. While at Catawba Lake House, everyone enjoys all that the home has to offer; from the Game Room, Great Room Electric Fireplace, Hot Tub and of course the spectacular decks, where you can pull up a chair and take in the "sound of silence", observe the night as it fills with stars, and watch the fire flies come out to play in your backyard above and on the lake. Also available for rent, for an additional fee is the 20-foot pontoon which can accommodate up to 14 people. Cruise one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the country and dock at Catawba Lake House. No personal watercraft is permitted to use the Catawba Lake House dock. Our Cleaning Fees are backed by our Clean Guarantee, which reflects the highest level of standards, pristine environments for our guests, and a level of clean that surpasses any other vacation homes; we literally guarantee it! Current local tax rate is 12.75% No Security Deposit / Guests are responsible for damages.

Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

Pets: This home and property are very dog friendly, and guests are welcome to bring their "best friends" with them. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $130 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party.

"We were there with 3 generations for a family vacation. The kitchen was well stocked. All ages enjoyed swimming in the lake - plenty of life preservers were available. Our 7-year-old grandson was thrilled to fish off the dock, even though we threw the fish all back in! Grocery store is close by. Beds were very comfortable. A pack-n-play and high chair were in the closet. The canoe was a hit with all ages. It was a wonderful home. We highly recommend it. Everyone wants to come back. Thank you for a wonderful family time together!

"This mountain and lake house was amazing for our Christmas getaway. Our family of 11 adults, 1 kid, 1 baby and 1 dog were comfortable with enough space to feel like at home but not on top of each other. The views and surroundings are beautiful, I believe in summer should be an incredible place to be with family since the lake is just there. The house was clean and cozy. We would return and stay in this property in a heartbeat. Thank you
