The updated kitchen and open living room are perfect for gathering with friends and family. Enjoy the gas fireplace in the cooler months or open the sliding doors to the deck and relax to the sound of the stream in the spring and summer. The cozy main bedroom has a large walk-in closet and direct deck access. Downstairs, there are two more guest rooms with a queen-size bed and a full-size bed. The downstairs living room is perfect for game or movie nights.

Check-in is at 4 pm, and check-out is at 10 am. We’re happy to review early and late check requests and will do our best to accommodate. While early check-in or late check-out can’t be guaranteed, we always make every effort to honor these requests when availability allows. Paid options may be available.

Pets 
Many of our guests have allergies, so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction. If you have a pet, we are happy to recommend some alternatives nearby in our  Pet Friendly Home collection.

This home is located in a peaceful, private mountain community. To preserve the relaxing setting for everyone, please keep noise to a respectful level at all times. Parties and disruptive behavior aren’t permitted, and we kindly ask that you be mindful of neighbors and quiet hours starting at 10pm.

Extended Stays
Reservations of 30 days or more are subject to review; stays exceeding 90 days require an additional agreement.  A security deposit, mid-stay cleaning fees, and trash pick-up fees may apply depending on the length of stay.

We proudly offer a 5% discount to active duty military members and veterans. Proper documentation is required. Reach out to our Guest Experience Team for details. 

Last-Minute Bookings
 For reservations made **within 7 days of arrival**, additional verification is required to protect our homeowners and guests.

A full facial selfie of the primary guest holding that ID (must match the reservation name)
A photo showing the last 4 digits of the payment method in the primary guest’s name

"This property is absolutely beautiful! Our family of 4 had a great time, this is by far one of the best places i have ever rented out. There was plenty to do and lots of room to move around! We all absolutely loved it and hated to leave.

"We loved the creek and quite area. The cabin is very well supplied, neat and clean. The area is wonderful! Plenty of outside adventures, restaurants, shopping, museums, waterfalls, nature. And the people are great! The Yonder team was always helpful and kind.

Lovely Place

"We enjoyed the house but wouldn't recommend it for older guest. We found it difficult because of the stairs & I could not go to the burn pit due to uneven rocks forsteps. Lovely place just not for us due to our older age.

"The By The Creek Cabin was a wonderful getaway for us. Loved the sounds of the creek and also loved hiking up the middle of the creek. The kitchen was well appointed, with great cookware. The creek is def the most wonderful thing! Will definitely stay here again! Right in between two of my favorite towns!

"This property is right on a babbling stream! You can sit outside on the porch and enjoy the sounds and sights of the stream. The fire ring is right on the water's edge for wonderful campfires next to the water. This place was lovely and is near lots of great waterfall hikes!

Perfect for family of four!

"Our family apent almost week hanging out and searching for waterfalls in the area. We found some beautiful places and also enjoyed our time hanging out by the creek. The house had ample space for our family with two teenagers, but was also nice and cozy. Very clean with everything we needed.

Peaceful Place, Great for a Family

"We thoroughly enjoyed a 5 night stay at this property last week. We rent vacation rentals 2-3 times per year at minimum. This home was one of the most thoughtfully renovated, well-equipped homes we have stayed in to date. The kitchen has recently been redone with new cabinets and appliances.The fire pit area has been improved since the listing photos were taken. The location is easily accessible from Highway 64, and the larger town of Brevard (with restaurants, Ingles, & Walmart) is about 30 minutes away. We enjoyed a few nearby hiking trails (within 15-30 minutes drive), and spent lots of time reading while the kids played in the creek. The only thing I would mention is that the upstairs bed is very firm - would be good to know when planning the sleeping arrangements. There are two other beds downstairs that are softer. I realize this is more about preference than anything else. We would consider renting this home again if we decide to stay in the area in the future.

"We felt very secluded while enjoying the firepit next to the mountain stream every evening. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed, and we really enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porches overlooking the stream.

Waterfall Hiking Trip

"By the Creek was the perfect place for our annual waterfall hiking trip. The cabin is situated back off of the highway in a secluded setting on a creek, but is close to restaurants and hiking trails. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and the house was very comfortable. We were apprehensive about not having air conditioning downstairs but it was not an issue. We were very comfortable with the fans provided. Yonder staff were responsive and helpful. The first day a storm went through and knocked a power line down across the driveway. Angela, from the Yonder emergency team, immediately called the utility company and kept us updated. The second day our internet went out and David from the Tryon team worked with the internet provider on Saturday until service was restored.

Great house!

"We loved the relaxing, secluded location, great decks and outdoor space to enjoy the creek and short trail on property. The house is lovely, just as pictured and worked out great for our two young children. Fairly close to Lake Toxaway and all there is to enjoy in the area. There is no central a/c which may be common for the area, but just something to note if you like a cooler home. Fans and an upstairs wall unit are available for use. Overall we loved our stay and hope to return!

"We spent a week there with our two young kids. The space was great--the two bedrooms downstairs worked great for our kids (helpful blackout curtains for the littlest). There was a pack & play at the house. The kitchen was well stocked and had convenient little extras like batteries, pens, and ziploc bags. The porches were wonderful--we spent SO much time on the upstairs porch. We brought a baby gate with us, which was really helpful for the doorway to the downstairs. We didn't run out of any supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, or trash bags. Internet was pretty slow and had to be restarted once, but it wasn't much of an issue since we were not using our phones too much anyway. The creek was so much fun--we caught tons of crawfish and appreciated the buckets & nets that were provided. Everything was so beautiful! The raspberry & blackberry bushes were a fun surprise as well!

Heaven by the creek

"This is by far one of the nicest properties I’ve rented. A slice of heaven in the woods by a musical creek. It was so wonderful to sleep with the doors open and be lulled to sleep by the gurgling water. The cabin is cozy and well equipped. Countless hours were spent on the porches and exploring the woods. I’ve already booked my next visit and I can’t wait to see it in the fall. Quite a gem.

"My family and I had an amazing getaway to "By The Creek"! The cabin was well-equipped with everything that we needed from the kitchen supplies to the cozy bedding to the foosball table that our kids absolutely loved! "By The Creek" feels so secluded and private with the beautiful sound of the creek, but the location is amazingly convenient to so many great hiking, fishing and shopping places within minutes. We had the most relaxing weekend at "By The Creek" and we can’t wait to go back!!

"We stayed at “By The Creek” in July of 2022. The property was fantastic, very peaceful, and relaxing! The cabin had everything you would need for daily needs and food preparation, including both a Keurig and drip coffee maker. The furnishings were comfortable, and everything was clean. We really enjoyed walking around the property and coffee on the porch while listening to the creek. Tons of great restaurants in the area as well as cute shops and antique stores. We will definitely be back again next year!

BY THE CREEK was Fabulous!

"I stayed at “BY THE CREEK” in April/May of 2022 and had the most wonderful experience! It was such a peaceful vacation. I enjoyed waking up every day and enjoying coffee on the deck with the sound of the creek down below. In fact, many hours were spent out overlooking the creek on the deck at all hours! Cabin is clean, well furnished, and beautifully decorated. Spent a fun day exploring Sapphire and Cashiers. We ended our nights with a fire in the pit beside the creek. Would highly recommend a stay in BY THE CREEK. I will definitely be back any chance I can get!
