All-new mattresses and pillows – Every mattress and pillow in the home has been replaced to offer guests a fresh, comfortable night’s sleep.

Bullhead Mountain Lodge is thoughtfully designed for comfort, connection, and relaxation. The home features extensive locally sourced timber beams, stone accents, skylights throughout, and a warm mountain-lodge feel that is even more impressive in person.
The main living area offers generous seating, soaring two-story ceilings, and plenty of natural light, creating an inviting space for your group to gather after a day exploring Black Mountain or Asheville. Guests will also enjoy multiple indoor gathering areas, including a front sunroom with mountain views, a rear pool room with a large TV and games, a spacious great room, and a cozy TV room located off the kitchen.
The gourmet kitchen is one of the standout features of the home, offering professional-grade appliances, a unique bird’s nest tower, abundant prep space, seating, skylights, and all the cooking essentials needed for group meals, holiday gatherings, or private chef experiences.
The home includes 6 bedrooms plus a bunk room, with space to sleep up to 20 guests in beds and a maximum occupancy of 22. Bedroom arrangements include king and queen guest rooms, several ensuite bedrooms, and a kids bunk room with six bunks, a double bed, video games, and a foosball table. Please note that the bunk room is accessed through one of the king bedrooms.
The primary king bedroom offers a custom design with beautiful stone details, a walk-in shower, and a standalone tub, creating a relaxing retreat within the home.

Pool Note: The seasonal outdoor pool is open mid-May through mid-September and is ideal for warm-weather stays. Please note that the pool is not heated. The pool is maintained weekly during the season and may require temporary time out of the pool following treatment.

Perfect for us

"This house was a perfect size for our family. The kids could watch tv in the back room, I could sit and read in the front room, the pool was huge, although the weather wasn't conducive for swimming, the fire pit in the front was a great spot for sipping wine and creating s'mores. A couple of the appliances needed maintenance but, hey, that happens. The house was well-appointed and we had a great time there.

Wonderful Time

"We had a wonderful time at the lodge! We all had looked forward to this trip for a long time and it did not disappoint. The house has hidden closets and toilets, many beds and an abundance of beautiful natural light. The hot tub was wonderful and it was already running when we got there so we just had to turn on the jets! The sauna was wonderful. People were able to access the sauna without disturbing anyone's bedroom.Everyone enjoyed their bedroom and we all slept super cozy as the beds are quite nice. The common area with bunks also opens to a nice covered patio where we practiced yoga! Some things to note: bring your own fire starter (the place has plenty of firewood) and lighter, first aid kid (the place has one but it has been quite used up) We were unclear if the water was filtered or not, so bring your own water filter.Note: the driveway fits six, but if you need more room, you could pull under the covered part and fit 8 cars.

Wonderful Stay

"We had a party of 19 people and had wonderful experience staying at the property. The building is very beautiful, elegant, has a full set of kitchen -- no need to worry at all if you have a big group of people coming. The main level shared bathroom has a little problem but we requested a person to come fix it and they come next morning. Thanks for the help. The A frame provides such a splendid, cozy view. The firepit and the view is the best thing. We enjoyed the BBQ grill, the pool, and hot tub. Everything is so wonderful and we are thankful for all that is provided.

Plenty of Room

"Beautiful house, plenty of room for our group. Kitchen was great for cooking, and was fully stocked with appliances tableware, pots and pans and spices. Very large natural gas grill outside was a plus. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean with plenty of room. We used the fire pit, which is located in the front of the house. As another reviewer mentioned, there are some nosy neighbors walking on the street that shined their flashlights on us a couple times, which was odd. We were always respectful of our volume and didn’t go out past 10 so we had no problems, but can see how it could be an issue with a louder group. Overall a great house and host and would recommend to others.

Large Family Vacation

"This property was great for our large family vacation. The kids loved the bunk room. It was hard to tell from the pictures but there are 8 bunks plus a double bed in that room. The only downside is that the bunk room can only be accessed through one of the king bedrooms. We enjoyed using the pool, hot tub, fire pit and cornhole boards. The front door had a pane of glass broken when we arrived but Yonder was quick with a response in getting a technician out to clean everything thoroughly and had a company come to measure for replacement.

"Love this spacious space. It was perfect for our Wolverine's Girls Rugby Team. We came out for the first time to Asheville, North Carolina for a National Rugby Tournament. Our girls loved the house! The pool was amazing and so perfect for our group. Hot tub was great for recovery after a long day of playing rugby. It was a 2 day tournament. The house was the best!! We had enough beds for everyone and space to relax and hangout. Thank you for the amazing experience! The house made our trip such a great experience.
