Special Update – Lake Lure Reopening
Lake Lure is officially open following Hurricane Helene, and normal lake use has resumed! Previous lakewide no-wake restrictions have been lifted, so guests can once again enjoy boating and time on the water while continuing to follow all posted no-wake zones, boating guidelines, and local lake rules.

Chimney Rock businesses are also open and ready to welcome visitors back. This is a wonderful time to return to the area, enjoy the lake, explore Chimney Rock, and support the local businesses and communities that make this region so special. Please note that public docks remain closed at this time. Guests who would like to get out on the water can rent boats through Yonder, with delivery available for lakefront homes or pickup available at the southernmost point of the lake.

Start the morning at Branching Out with views of Rumbling Bald, spend the day at Lake Lure or Chimney Rock, then unwind on the screened porch or gather in the upstairs game room. Designed for up to 10 guests, this three-level Lake Lure cabin offers two King suites, flexible sleeping spaces, and an upper observation deck with views of the lake.

MAIN-LEVEL PRIMARY SUITE – Sleeps 2 with one King bed and an ensuite full bathroom featuring a separate shower and jetted tub.
LOWER-LEVEL GUEST SUITE – Sleeps 2 with one King bed and an ensuite full bathroom featuring a shower/tub combination.
UPPER-LEVEL FULL GUEST ROOM – Sleeps 2 with one Full bed.
UPPER-LEVEL TWIN ROOM – Additional sleeping space that sleeps 2 with two Twin beds.
UPPER-LEVEL GAME ROOM – Additional sleeping space that sleeps 2 with one Full bed. This bed is located in a shared recreational space rather than a private bedroom.
All three upper-level sleeping spaces share a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination. A half bathroom is located on the main level.

We had a wonderful stay in Lake Lure

"The house was peaceful and had plenty of room for our family to spread out. The views were incredible, and the house is just a few minutes drive from great coffee, cute local restaurants, a large grocery store, and hiking trails. The neighborhood feels very safe, and yet you get the feeling of being remote and "away from it all." The kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The only things I would change would be to add a desk or two (there currently isn't one anywhere in the house) and a coffee table in the living room. Otherwise, the house is a dream! And the Yonder team was responsive and easy to deal with! We would definitely stay here again!!

We did a few small day trips from the house and explored locally. There was more than enough space for my family (2 adults and 3 little kiddos)! We plan to be back every fall break and we can't wait. Relaxing stay in the mountains

"We stayed here for a long weekend -- location was great - close to public beach where you can rent kayaks and SUPs. Very close to restaurants if you don't feel like cooking, but the kitchen of this property was well stocked including coffee k-pods, creamer, and sugar. Only a 45 minute drive to the Biltmore, where we spent one of our days, and only a couple miles to Chimney Rock Park with views like no other. Only thing I wished this property had was direct access to the lake itself.

Quick Getaway

"We took our college and high school kids and their friends up for a few days. The house was well-equipped and had plenty of space for everyone. I think we spent the most of our trip on the screened porch honestly. We did expect to be a little closer to the lake or have some kind of access since the house was advertised as "on the lake" but it was still a perfect stay. The bonus room upstairs was a huge hit for the boys. Tons of games and places to hang out! The community lake access is quite limited - $10/ person to get in and only open from 10am-6pm.

"Our family had a wonderful time at branching out cabin! The kitchen was stocked with everything we could have needed, the bedrooms are spacious and spread out where each couple had some privacy, we took a short walk down to the water, and had a wonderful meal in the downtown of lake lure! Also had lots of fun at the park close by! Highly recommend branching out! We will be back!

Fun for all ages!

"We enjoyed a wonderful weekend getaway with friends at Branching Out. The home was beautifully appointed, comfortable and had all the necessities to make it the perfect home away from home. While the other family in our group enjoyed the primary suite, our family of five comfortably utilized the upstairs rooms with our two oldest in the bedroom with the twin beds and our youngest in the adjacent room, which was nice and dark for her to sleep comfortably. The kids had the best time dancing on the “stage,” singing karaoke and loved climbing up to explore the nook at the top of the ladder. There was also a lovely king suite downstairs with a private bathroom, so everyone was able to have their own space. The screened porch was a fabulous spot to relax and have a nice cup of coffee in the comfortable Adirondack chairs. The grill on the side porch appeared to be brand new and made grilling meals a breeze along with the range in the kitchen. No details were left out of the kitchen for those who enjoy cooking! Ingles was close by and offered everything we needed. We enjoyed a day trip to Chimney Rock, which had gem mining and other fun activities for the kids. Needless to say, we can’t wait to book our next trip at Branching Out!

Raising the bar!

"Our stay at Branching Out has now raised the bar as the baseline mountain experience we’d like to repeat. There is a warm ambiance about this home that greeted us at the front door - and only got better inside! For us it was just the right blend of rustic-contemporary decor. So many little things in this home make a big difference! The layout is well-designed and highly functional - especially for larger families or groups because of the two king bed suites with private baths and the upstairs sleeping areas. Also, the game room upstairs is a natural gathering spot for kids of all ages. The huge windows in the great room, the screened porch, and observation deck are just right for enjoying the great outdoors without ever leaving the house! And we loved the convenience of the location - so close to so many restaurants, Lake Lure beach, Chimney Rock - all within a 5 minute drive. All said, Branching Out is just an über fun place to be. Well-done on all fronts for both our ‘wish and needs’ list - we can’t wait to return!
