"We loved this Weaverville getaway. Our dogs splashed in the creek as we sat on the porch enjoying the cool weather and sylvan serenity. The location is great - 10 minutes to Weaverville, 20-25 to Asheville. It is also easy to a range of trails off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will definitely be coming back.

Well Equipped Cabin

"Beautiful and well-equipped cabin in the mountains! Was especially impressed by the kitchen, which had all the essentials we needed (and more) for cooking in. Close to lovely Weaverville but still secluded and peaceful, with a gorgeous river running through the back. Would definitely stay again.

"Excellent property in a quiet, off the beaten path location in the WNC mountains. Nature all around with a running creek, visiting turkeys, and frequent visits by pipevine swallowtail butterflies. Relaxing country home with front porch and a back deck overlooking the creek, the forest, and the fire pit.

"Everything! The host was exceptional with communication, directions and local highlights. The home was very clean and well appointed with everything we could want. Sitting in the back porch was so peaceful with the stream and we loved the fireplace. There was lots of room to move around and would be perfect for 2 couples. The location was GREAT! I was concerned that it wasn’t closer to the city, but it was only a 20minute ride or so. And, that let us explore some things we may not have if we stayed right in town.

"We have a dog and two toddlers. We found the house to be comfortable and clean, but there wasn’t a ton of stuff that our little kids could mess up or break (if you know you know). We felt removed and privately located, but we weren’t too far from a grocery store, gas station, and restaurants. We were visiting for a wedding in Asheville, and it was an easy 25 min drive into town. The second bedroom is downstairs so if you have really little ones like us, you may want to plan to share the master bed or have them upstairs with you in a pack n play. It wasn’t a problem for us because mine often crawl in with us anyway, but sharing for any young families planning their stay. We will absolutely be back!

"AMAZING STAY IN AN AWESOME HOME! We have been here a week and could not be happier! It’s such a gorgeous and peaceful location yet close enough to BRP and Asheville to do all the hiking and touring. The home has everything you need and was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were really fluffy! We saw a few animals- a rabbit, squirrels and heard an owl each night. The brook in the back was wonderful to sit and listen to. We did not try the outside fire pit, but loved the gas fire inside and the fireplace is gorgeous stone. Water pressure was amazing. The home was exceptionally comfortable and relaxing. Very well laid out in an open concept. Loved the beams in the main area. Both the front porch and back deck are comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely be back and will be renting here again! Would love to see it during the Spring. Highly recommended.

Peaceful, Quiet and Secluded

"We were dropping our son off at camp and wanted a short weekend getaway. This house was perfect for our family of four. It was peaceful, quiet, and secluded. We loved the back porch area to sit with a glass of wine and listen to the sounds of nature and the creek which is mere steps from the house. A beautiful side yard as well for the kids to play. The house is close to multiple grocery stores, restaurants and downtown Weaverville and was all around a great place to stay!

"What a lovely Weaverville home! Your dogs will love the backyard creek while you enjoy the beautiful porch. The woods are quite tranquil - even though there are neighbors nearby, you feel tucked away in your own cocoon. There are also excellent trails just two miles up the road. Ballard Creek House – Spectacular

"My wife and I stayed at Ballard Creek House for a weekend in August. I've stayed at a few mountain houses near Asheville and this one was by far my favorite! The drive from Raleigh was easy - the exit for the house was one of the first in Asheville. After a short drive including the Blue Ridge Parkway, we were at the house in no time - unlike other vacation homes that that took much more driving to reach. The house itself was gorgeous. It was much more spacious than the other mountain homes I've stayed in. It was fully appointed and everything was easy. The upstairs bedroom, with bathroom, was HUGE! The back deck was spectacular. We barbequed and then ate at the spacious table. But the real star of the show was the back yard. There is a beautiful little creek running along the back of the property. I sat in one of the several seating areas and just absorbed the beauty of creek and the little forest. There was a fire pit which will be fabulous when the temperatures drop this fall. The town of Weaverville is extremely close by. We ate at a restaurant and walked up and down the streets in the town center. As my wife said, very cute. We hiked on several mountains and had a perfect mountain experience - all facilitated by the amenities of Ballard Creek House!

Could Not Have Loved It More!

"We stayed at the Ballard Creek House this past weekend, and could not have loved it more. Incredibly peaceful, fantastic amenities, spotlessly clean, and of course the huge deck overlooking that little creek. Both beds were super comfortable, and my friend especially loved the upper bedroom with its own deck. I was also surprised and pleased with how beautiful the grounds were – especially the big open side yard that our dog enjoyed at least as much as we did. We did some hiking at a nearby trail and went into Asheville and Weaverville, but the house was so great we found ourselves hanging out there more than expected. Will definitely come back!

"I stayed at Ballard Creek House with my family in August. The house is charming and very well appointed. It has a lovely porch in front and large deck in back that overlooks a bubbling creek. There are two small waterfalls on the creek, and the sound of water is so relaxing! There is also a fire pit. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. The location is very convenient to Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the town of Weaverville. Highly recommend.
