Quiet Policy :This home is located in a peaceful, private mountain community. To preserve the relaxing setting for everyone, please keep noise to a respectful level at all times. Parties and disruptive behavior aren’t permitted, and we kindly ask that you be mindful of neighbors and quiet hours starting at 10pm.

Payment, Cancellation & Travel Insurance : Please review our policies before booking.

Extended Stays: Reservations of 30 days or more are subject to review; stays exceeding 90 days require an additional agreement.  A security deposit, mid-stay cleaning fees and trash pick-up fees may apply depending on the length of stay.

Last-Minute Bookings: For reservations made **within 7 days of arrival**, additional verification is required to protect our homeowners and guests.

Amazing place!

"This was an amazing place to stay! The house is spacious and comfortable. The views were amazing. Everyone enjoyed the game room and it was a great place to hang out. It is close to the river so hearing and seeing the water outside from the porch was an added bonus. It made for a nice drive along side it as we went anywhere too. We would definitely go back!

Perfect Getaway

"We spent a lovely weekend in February at a well appointed home called “Bagatelle” in Clyde, North Carolina. The house is spacious, exceptionally clean with a well stocked kitchen. The coffee bar was one of my favorite things about the house, and one of the best that I have seen at a rental. There is also a large game room with a pool table, shuffleboard table, chess and other games that can entertain for hours. From the large outdoor spaces we enjoyed the spectacular views of the mountains and beautiful sunrises. The house is located near Maggie Valley, Waynesville, and Lake Junaluska, all fun places to visit and enjoy! The weekend was absolutely relaxing and a perfect getaway. I hope to visit many more times in the future!

"Bagatelle is the kind of place that makes you slow down the moment you arrive. Tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains near Clyde, with sweeping views of the river and surrounding hills, it somehow feels both expansive and intimate at the same time. The home is spotless, thoughtfully laid out, and easy to get to—no small thing when you’re traveling with a group. Inside, Bagatelle is spacious and incredibly comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen that easily handled a crowd of hungry travelers. The separate wing for kids is a standout—packed with games and toys, it gives them their own space while the adults can unwind. And when it’s time to play together, the pool table, shuffleboard, and darts keep everyone entertained well into the evening. After a day of hiking or tubing nearby, the fire pit becomes the heart of the night—good conversation, mountain air, and that quiet kind of contentment you don’t find in a hurry. The host is responsive and thoughtful, making the whole experience feel seamless. Bagatelle isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to gather, breathe, and remember why getting away matters.

Perfect Mountain Stay

"Bagatelle was the perfect mountain stay! The house was easy to get to and absolutely beautiful. There was plenty of room for everyone, and everything was spotless. The beds were very comfortable, and the views were incredible from every angle. We especially loved the awesome game room and the spacious kitchen area—great for hanging out and cooking together. Sitting by the fire pit in the evenings while taking in the scenic views was a highlight of our trip. This place is ideal for both adults and families. We definitely recommend Bagatelle for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable mountain getaway!

Absolutely Fabulous

"Bagatelle is an absolutely fabulous all around experience! Quietly situated high on a hill near enough to major highways but isolated enough to seem far away from everything, it provides the peaceful and serene environment overlooking the lovely rolling hills of western North Carolina and a fantastic view of Pigeon River as it flows westerly toward Tennessee. Bagatelle's location is well suited for adventure, close enough to everything from white water rafting to hiking on trails with spectacular views and waterfalls. But my personal favorite is immediate access to some of the best motorcycle riding you could hope for with lots of twisty curves, hills and even plenty of dirt roads and trails. With or without adventure, the Bagatelle house is a lovely mix of elegance and charm, luxurious and fun. Our family is the type that tries to maximize opportunities on our vacations. Play hard and rest hard, and we are able to that fulfill that objective with everything from linens to games right at our finger tips. For the past two decades we have been riding our motorcycles in this area trying out various locations. We have found our home!
