Within just a few scenic miles, you’ll encounter three stunning waterfalls: Hooker Falls, Triple Falls, and High Falls. Start with Hooker Falls (0.3 miles from parking)
Your waterfall trifecta begins at the Hooker Falls parking area, off Staton Road. A quick, shaded 0.3-mile walk leads you to Hooker Falls, a 12-foot cascade that tumbles into a wide pool perfect for dipping your toes (or braving a full swim in warmer months). This spot is especially popular with families due to the short walk and easy terrain.

Hike Up to Triple Falls (0.5 miles from Hooker Falls)
Next, return to the main trail and follow signs for Triple Falls, just 0.5 miles upstream. This moderate uphill climb rewards you with one of the most iconic views in the entire forest: three distinct cascades plunging a total of 120 feet. Movie buffs may recognize this waterfall from The Hunger Games, and photographers will appreciate the multiple viewing platforms.

Finish at High Falls (0.75 miles from Triple Falls)
From Triple Falls, continue your trek another 0.75 miles to reach High Falls, the tallest of the trio at 150 feet. The view from the main overlook is breathtaking, but for a closer look, we recommend taking the spur trail down to the base of the falls where you can feel the mist and roar up close.
This portion of the hike features wider gravel paths and a gradual incline, making it suitable for most ages and fitness levels. The total round-trip hike (if you return to the Hooker Falls lot) clocks in around 3 miles, with plenty of photo ops and rest stops along the way.

Waterfall Safety Tips
Before you head out, keep these safety tips in mind:
Stay on designated trails. Shortcuts lead to erosion—and danger.
Keep a safe distance from the edge. Wet rocks are slippery, even if they look dry.
Don’t climb the falls. Even gentle-looking waterfalls have strong currents.
Watch children and dogs carefully. Leashes are required and safety comes first.
Wear proper shoes. Traction matters, especially on muddy or mossy trails.
