Sleeping Clarification
Hoopers Creek Cottage is officially a 3-bedroom home with a 4th “sleeping area.” Due to permit advertising limitations, we are not able to market the home as a 4-bedroom property. However, there is an additional private room used for sleeping that includes a Queen bed, making it a great option for groups who want a little extra flexibility.

"The place is as advertised…a cozy mountain home in the quaint town of Fletcher. Decor and amenities were just as shown in photos. Ping pong table was good fun. The only aspect that wasn’t quite as expected was the creek, which didn’t have much actively moving water. We had hoped to enjoy the sounds of a mountain stream. Otherwise, a lovely stay enjoyed by all.

"Beautiful, spacious and secluded cabin located in the most beautiful area of Fletcher. 7 min drive to downtown. Close to Ingles, Publix and Whole Foods. 20 min drive to the Biltmore Estate and downtown Ashville as well as Blue Ridge Parkway which is a must see. We did a number of hikes in the area and enjoyed the wineries. All within 30-40 min drive. Fast internet if you need to work!

"This cottage was lovely! It was clean and had everything we needed for a week’s stay. I gave it 4 stars only because it is advertised as wheelchair accessible when it really isn’t. There is no way to enter the house upstairs without steps (from the driveway to the porch). Also the bedroom doors are not wide enough to get a wheelchair through. So I would suggest removing “wheelchair accessible” from the description. Other than that, it’s a wonderful place to stay. We had a blast. Thanks!

A Favorite

"This VRBO was one of the better layouts for sharing with another family. Plenty of room for all 9 of us and the teenagers loved having the downstairs as their own space!The kitchen was well stocked for everything you'd want to make meals while on vacation. Game area was a big hit - ping pong was everyone's favorite. Sitting by the fire each night was the best way to end our evenings. Ideally situated to reach Asheville within 20-30 minutes. The teen boys easily drove to the Davidson River 5 of our 7 days to fish! Several grocery stores within a short drive. We found a nice gentleman who had seasoned firewood for sale right before the nearest Ingles grocery and bought from him twice during our stay. Parking was easy for four vehicles. Check-in was very smooth. Communication before and during the stay was great!Definitely now on our family's favorite places to stay and we will return!

"Absolutely LOVED the property! It was exactly as pictured and what we expected if not better. Such a beautiful area and so nice and quiet- but yet super close to anything you may need in a short drive. I'm originally from the area and we needed a quick place to stay for the Easter weekend so we wouldnt have to drive back and forth to NC. This house was perfect for that! The creek in the back was perfect for the kids and they had an absolute blast with the ping pong table. Everyone had their own space, plenty of bathrooms, and every room was nice and clean. We all wish we could have stayed longer!

"We had a lovely stay! The property was terrific, well stocked, good location, and nicely updated. We appreciated the privacy offered by the two floors, as we traveled with two families. I took one star off as I found the property management company somewhat difficult to work with leading up to our stay, as they required excessive “verification” that didn’t actually feel secure at all. Other than that, they were responsive and easy to work with. I would probably stay here again if traveling to the area.

Week stay at Hoopers Creek Cottage

"Overall the property was in excellent shape. It appears to have had some renovations done in the recent past and everything felt new and well apportioned. We spent most of our time on the main level, however the lower level would have been a very nice area to spend our time if we chose to. The kitchen is more of a kitchenette so the upstairs kitchen would have been the one to use as a family or group. The kitchen on the main level was perfect for our use and had everything to dine in, which is what we did most of the evenings. The house is central to most everything you would want to do in the Asheville, Blue Ridge Mtn area and we took full advantage of it. We would certainly return to this home if our travels take us back this way.

"We loved our stay at the Hoopers Creek Cottage! It was so adorable, and had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. The creek was a high point for the kids, and we plan to stay again in warmer months so we can fully enjoy it. We had lots of fun playing ping pong and enjoying the toys and games they had available. The house was immaculate and well stocked with essentials. My only critical note would be that the description states the king sized bed is in the en-suite, but it’s actually on the lower level. This wasn’t an issue for us, but noting it for others that may need that information. Looking forward to staying again in the future!

Lovely Place to Stay

"The house was nicely appointed and tastefully decorated. Beds and rooms were comfortable. Incredibly quiet at night, which was wonderful. Convenient to local attractions, shopping and the airport. The kitchen was fantastic. The owners did a really good job of providing plenty of dishes, pans and cooking utensils for making meals in the home. Visitors should be aware that the driveway is steep, but there is an easy turnaround at the bottom of the driveway. One drawback was the carport already had a car parked inside, which could have been over a bit further. The car was covered with a car cover, so it appears to be there for storage purposes. Ideally it would have been nice to have the full carport open. Overall, our stay was great and check out was incredibly easy, which was a nice touch!

Oh My Goodness!

"Oh my goodness. Our stay at Hoopers Creek Cottage was amazing. Yonder made it so easy to book and truly was so quick to reply and help answer any questions. For us having littles the downstairs “apartment” was perfect to keep the kids entertained while the rest of the family slept in (lucky 😝). It also had lots of “spaces” to just hang out which makes all the difference to me. Ping pong table/outdoor areas ✅, big dinning room table✅, lots of seating in the living room✅, 3 bathrooms ✅, well supplied kitchen✅ (no blender- just fyi), comfortable beds✅, big windows and a bubbling creek ✅. All made this house feel amazing to us. Another huge perk for us was the no pet rule for this home and the thorough cleaning policy. One of the family members has pretty severe indoor allergies (think hives and staying outside at friends houses) and he said this was the best rental experience he’s had. 🙌🏼 It was a little more $ than some of the other houses we looked at on other rental websites but in the end we’re so glad we went with it!!

"If you are looking for a relaxing Asheville vacation home, look no further! This place had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. My mom has been talking about touring the Biltmore for YEARS so it was very important to me to plan a good trip. Hooper’s Cabin did not disappoint. "Hoopers Creek cottage was a wonderful experience — the Yonder team made sure to communicate effectively in reference to our early check in and late checkout. The property itself was gorgeous, clearly kept up with and cleaned prior to our arrival, the renovations inside were stunning and we loved the downstairs mini kitchen aspect where we could keep waters without having to haul upstairs at night. The setup of two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs and two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs allow for plenty of space and privacy for everyone to enjoy their stay. There are even additional sitting and kitchenette areas downstairs for the convenience of the guests staying in those rooms. Our party took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen and the game room and board games available at the house. The decor is tasteful. The house is very clean and the hosts provide ample towels and linens, including extra blankets for the chilly nights. Although the heat works great too. We would recommend this stay without reservation.

"If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Absolutely gorgeous house; I want it as my permanent residence. The decor and details are incredible, and you can tell nothing in it is cheap. Even the utensils are amazing. Plus, the customer service was great; they responded to texts/phone calls quickly, especially considering we booked the place the day before we stayed there! Best rental I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at a lot.

Wow!

"Upon arrival we were like little kids walking through saying “wow!” at everything. It was all the little touches that really made it great and feel like home. We had two families - 4 adults and 4 kids and it worked perfectly for each family to take a level of the home with two bedrooms and kitchen/kitchenette on each floor. Loved having the grill and the fire pit. And the guys really enjoyed the ping pong table. We will definitely check to see if this home is available for our next Asheville visit.

"Great little house, 3 full baths makes a huge difference. The creek in the back yard makes sitting outside so peaceful. It’s 20 mins from Asheville, Hendersonville, sliding rock. Felt like we were in the middle of everything while feeling like we were in the middle of the forest!

Amazing Week at Hooper’s Creek!

"We had an amazing week at Hooper's Creek Cottage! We stayed with our 4yo and 11mo. It was such a wonderful retreat. The property is exactly as pictured and so lovely. We appreciated how private and quiet it was - and it such a gorgeous setting. Everything was very clean, as tested by the newly crawling baby. The location worked great for our trip, which was a combination of adventures in Asheville, Lake Lure, Pisgah Nat'l Forest, and Blueridge Parkway. We were surprised to be so close to what's considered South Asheville (Arden), which meant some nice food options within 15 minutes. The kitchen and pantry were adequately stocked (not sure if guests stocked some of it). We were happy to find some plates for the preschooler, too. All appliances worked great! We didn't get to enjoy the deck or fire pit, due to nightly rain, but we had some great dinners from the grill. The creek was so much fun for the 4yo to explore. It was a very mellow flow, until some really intense rain at the end of the trip. We loved listening to it! Do be alert to poison ivy by the creek and also at the upper parking space. After a strong rain, we realized there was a wasp's nest at the front door. Yonder was very responsive and had it removed by the time we returned from the day's activities. I will note that this might not be a good property for remote work, as the internet was very spotty. Sometimes we could work or stream tv without issue, and other times we couldn't even send an email, despite rebooting the internet. But cell service was strong enough for phone calls. All in all, we were sad when our week ended, as we had such a relaxing time. I hope to return on a future visit!

A Perfect Spot!

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hoopers Creek Cottage! The home was so very nicely decorated, clean, and had all the comforts of home! It was so beautiful to be there in the fall with gorgeous trees all around and sit out on the decks to enjoy. My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the creek and it was very nice to see them spending so much time outdoors (even the teenagers kept busy by the creek). The yard was sizeable enough to enjoy throwing frisbee and play corn hole, we cooked out on the grill one meal per day - and at night we enjoyed a fire in the firepit and played ping pong in the game room. Everything was fresh and new and well equipped. It's the perfect spot for a cozy getaway with endless activities. Highly recommend the hiking trails with picturesque views in the Blue Ridge Mountains or a short drive to Asheville with its many restaurants and quaint little shops. Or it was also great to spend a relaxing day cozying up by the window with all the views of the trees and wildlife while reading a good book and listening to the babbling brook in the background. Will definitely come back to explore more!

A Hidden Gem!

"What a great place! We loved this house and it was perfect and roomy for our family of 5 (3 teenagers). It is completely redone inside and it is perfect! The layout is great and we enjoyed the two TV areas and the two kitchens. We didn't spend much time outside, but I can see having coffee on the deck when it is warmer would be perfect. The carport was much needed as it was raining when we arrived. It made for an easy unpacking session while under cover. We used this place as a base for exploring the area with a focus on mountain biking. What a great find this place is! I told our family before we arrived that we were due to find a "hidden gem" since our last few airbnb stays were so-so. And we did it!. Definite "hidden gem" category!"
