They Thought of Everything

"Bonnie Haven was amazing beyond our expectations! All 17 in our group absolutely loved the place. The host went above and beyond- they thought of everything. They provide just about everything you would need while there. The place was gorgeous, the antique wood furniture was beautiful, the decor was very homey and comfortable. Almost very room had its own sitting room and bathroom. Kitchen is modern and very well appointed. I just can’t say enough about this place. We even discussed renting it annually for family reunions.

"We had a family reunion of 16 staying in the house for five days. The house was absolutely PERFECT, comfortable and extremely accommodating for the group. Kitchen and big dining/living area allowed us evenings together for meals, games, puzzles or just chatting.All the bedrooms with their own baths made it even more attractive.Downtown Hendersonville was charming as well as the location allowed many side trips to Asheville and rafting.Firepit was available…but the rain kept interfering so we did use it or the spa.We,( all 16 of us ) would highly recommend this home to any and everyone who enjoys beauty and a home full of historical value. WE ALL LOVED IT!!

"The house was exceptionally clean. It contained everything you would need for a week. Stay on a vacation. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. It’s a very very large house with a lot of space for group gatherings, and there is also a lot of space for the group to disperse into smaller groups. The bedrooms were awesome especially the ones that had the sitting rooms as well. The kitchen was fully stocked two nice refrigerators, two sets of washer and dryers. The property management company addressed any and all issues very very promptly.

"We had a reunion with 17 adults and 4 children and this house was absolutely perfect. Ample space for everyone, amazing porch for all of us to spend time on, spacious rooms, huge kitchen and dining area. Truly the perfect home for a large group. They had everything you would need for a long stay as well. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a large group. The location was also perfect, easy to get to town, but tucked away in the back of a cul de sac.

"We have a large family that thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bonnie Haven. It was spacious enough to accommodate us all. The two laundry rooms were very handy. The two dishwashers and the two refrigerators were a necessity for our size group. There was ample park space. There was one drip coffee maker and two Keurigs. Sound does not carry very well there , which was a big plus for the little ones trying to sleep.

"We had a wonderful time at our stay at Bonnie Haven! We have a large family so the kitchen and great room combo was perfect! Everything was clean! Kitchen well stocked. Suggestion to bring extra towels & washcloths. The putt-putt and park in walking distance! Elijah Mountain Gem Mining was so much fun for the kids too! Pops Diner was delicious and wonderful service! We fully recommend Bonnie Haven for large families!!

Super Comfortable Home

"Our group of 16 (8 couples) loved this property! It was spacious enough to accommodate all of us together, or to allow people to find a quiet spot to chat in smaller groups. All bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is very well appointed with new appliances and two dishwashers, a nice bonus for a large group. Plenty of off-street parking, a grand front porch and a great location in a quiet Hendersonville neighborhood make this a must-return location. The fact we could walk into town, visit a few breweries and walk back safely was appreciated by all. Being close to Dupont, Pisgah, Brevard and Asheville allows for a wide variety of activities in addition to enjoying Hendersonville. No hesitation in recommending this great home.

"Bonnie Haven was the perfect spot for a family reunion. We comfortably hosted 24 people. Having 10 bedrooms, all but 2 with dedicated full baths, made this possible. The large kitchen is extremely well provisioned, enabling us to enjoy meals together. The house provided plenty of common area room and the front porch was splendid for morning coffee. The Yonder team was responsive and the house was immaculate. We highly recommend Bonnie Haven and can't wait to visit again!

"Bonnie Haven was the perfect house for our Leadership Retreat. Each of our nine guests had their own bedroom and bathroom which was wonderful! The kitchen was very well stocked and the extra refrigerator and mini fridge were awesome to have. We had break-out sessions on the beautiful front porch and in the lovely sunroom as well. Couldn't have asked for a better location as we drove only 6 minutes into downtown Hendersonville one night for cocktails at the rooftop bar and a delicious dinner at Shine. "Bonnie Haven was a perfect place for nine long-time friends to stay to catch up on past news and build more memories together. We each had our own bedroom and bath and we had lots of room to spread out in the house and talk. We made good use of the rocking chairs on the front porch, the dining table that held all of us, and the amazing kitchen with two dishwashers and two refrigerators! There are so many things to do in the area and all within a short walk or 15-30 minute drive. Rent this beautiful historic home. You will be so happy you did!

"We have stayed at Bonnie Haven for the 2nd consecutive year. We plan to do it again next year as well. For our group it is the perfect set up with the rooms and the kitchen and the large porch and fire pit. Everything was in working order and I did not have to call or message anyone about anything yet again. For a large group I do think we could find a better set up. Hope we can continue our tradition at this property for years to come.

Cousin’s Reunion

"This was a great place for our Cousin's Reunion! We were all very pleased with the spaciousness of the house and the bedrooms. Even the smaller rooms were roomy enough. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen and the openness to the dining, living rooms so that visiting could happen throughout. We enjoyed walking down the hill to the park and evenings around the firepit, or on the front porch. This is a place we'll be glad to come back to in the future!

Perfect for Large Group!

"I take a group of 20-25 college students on a retreat every January. Finding a place with enough space, especially bathrooms, is always difficult. This property was perfect. The students said it's the best place we've ever rented. The large kitchen and multiple living areas had space for everyone to hang out together as a group and then having so many bedrooms (with their own smaller living space) allowed people to take some time away from the larger group when they needed to. The house is absolutely beautiful, and it was so much better than we even imagined. If our group ever comes back to the Asheville area, we would definitely rent this place again.

"We had the most amazing weekend at Bonnie Haven. Plenty of parking, close to the downtown area. Every bedroom is so spacious, and we loved the history of the house. "We stayed at "Bonnie Haven" for a weekend trip with extended family. Bonnie Haven was great for a large group of people- as a former B&B, all the bedrooms had their own bathrooms and there was plenty of space to be together (or separate)! This was our second time staying at a Yonder rental - I love the ease, how clean and stocked the houses are, and how limited cleaning you are required to do to check out.

Space for the Whole Family

"This home was perfect for our family gathering of 10 adults and plenty of room for more! The recently updated kitchen was a dream and well appointed with standard coffee maker, Keurig style, 2 griddles (a lot of rentals do not have these), plenty of dishes, pots/pans and amazing counter space for food prep. Owner provided basic essentials such as trash bags, plastic wrap and soap. All rooms are nicely set up with private baths and there is also a separate wing with 6 bunk beds and game room! Favorite for the family was the deep front porch—we were able to get a nice photo of all on the steps! Quiet neighborhood, great location!

Perfect Home for our Group of 9

"Upon entering the home, all you could hear were the "wows, this is great and look at this kitchen!" The first impression is so important and Bonnie Haven delivered. We were a group of 3 couples and 3 singles. We all had our own good size bedroom with a private bath and sitting area. And unlike a typical hotel, you could not hear toilets flushing, showers running or hallway noise. Well insulated. The kitchen had everything you needed and more. Plus two dishwashers! The open concept for kitchen, dining and living room worked well for our group. But there were additional rooms for reading or computer work if needed. Don't just stay inside when there is a hot tub and fire pit to enjoy. All the makings for traditional s'mores were waiting for us upon arrival. Nice thought by owners. (One piece of advice would be to have a water bucket close to the fire pit.) The front porch, with plenty of rocking chairs, provided a "talking circle" where the friends exchanged memories and created new ones. Our group came to NC to visit Asheville. Hendersonville is about a 30-minute drive. When we were searching where to stay, Bonnie Haven matched the criteria we wanted, just not the location. But Hendersonville has its own main street with quintessential shops and restaurants and a Publix one mile away. We highly recommend Bonnie Haven.

This house provides an excellent kitchen, comfortable XL room for large gatherings/meals/PowerPoint presentations, etc. Ramp access provided welcome access for one with limited mobility. BR's were comfortable and private. Front porch was a very popular informal gathering spot. Plenty of off-street parking. Highly recommended!

Spectacular Space for a Large Family

"This wonderful space was perfect for our family gathering. My brothers and their families came to Hendersonville for the funeral of our father. It was so nice that we could all be together at Bonnie Haven. The kitchen was large and well-appointed. The living space was very comfortable. We gathered around the big dining table and played cards and told stories into the night. This would have been such a missed opportunity if we had all stayed in a hotel. The bedrooms were awesome -large with sitting areas in most, comfortable beds, and beautifully decorated. We are already planning to come back in the Fall. Highly recommend!

Fantastic property for our retreat!

"This was the perfect house for a YMCA retreat! The house is incredible - there is no "bad" room when assigning sleeping spaces. The private bathrooms for most of the rooms, and the sitting areas in most of the rooms - all created a wow factor for everyone. The two bunk rooms at the end of the upstairs hall adjoin a private sitting area with foosball and a television, so that's an ideal space if you have several young people. The entire house is fantastic. The kitchen is spacious and it was easy for multiple people to help prepare food. The two dishwashers were so helpful. We used all of the gathering spaces, but everyone congregated in the dining room/great room/kitchen area the most, and there was plenty of space for all to spread out. The porches are beautiful, the hot tub was nice and hot, and the fire pit was great. Plenty of parking, as well. The neighborhood was wonderful, and we loved being at the end of the street. It was quiet and safe and beautiful. You're close to downtown Hendersonville, and could walk if you wanted to take a nice stroll. We drove to DuPont State Recreational Area to hike, and it was less than 30 minutes away. This is a special house, and perfect for a large group. The historic features are still part of the architecture, but it's updated and has all that you need. Finally - staff was easy to work with. Quick responses, and very helpful for the little issues we had (we left something at the house, and they were very responsive).

From 2 dishwashers to a small basket of kid’s books, this house had it all. We loved that it was walking distance to the park and that we all had so much space to hang out and spread out. We have looked for years for a house that is a good fit for our friend gathering and now we have found it!

Perfect Experience

"Bonnie Haven in Hendersonville just provided my large family the most perfect wedding weekend experience. Bonnie Haven is a large beautiful historic inn with grand hallways, spacious rooms, and a well-stocked kitchen (think Big Chill). As parents of the groom, we were able to have all of our out-of-town family stay in one location. There were thoughtful amenities throughout, including the guys favorite, an extremely large TV in the open family room for nonstop football viewing. We all quite enjoyed rocking on the front porch during the day and sitting around a large fire pit at night (wood supplied). My ONLY regret is that we didn't plan to stay longer, spend more time shopping downtown, and explore apple orchards or wineries. Also, thanks go to Yonder for taking great care of us and the property.

Spacious, Beautiful and Comfortable

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bonnie haven! We vacationed with four other couples there, and we loved the spacious, well appointed home. The bedrooms and bathrooms were pretty, clean and comfortable. The large kitchen had high-end appliances and all of the utensils/pans we needed to prepare meals for ten people. We appreciated the large living spaces with comfortable seating for our group. We had plenty of room to relax, play games, and dine together. We loved the mix of traditional decor with modern comfort. It is truly the cleanest and most beautiful guest home we’ve seen! We’ll recommend it to our friends!

Wonderful experience!!!

"What a wonderful experience our group had renting this beautiful, historic home in Hendersonville! We came from different locations in the US. The home was lovely and so conducive to relaxing, interacting, and entertaining. The biggest decision was which room to choose!! The owners did a great job incorporating new updates while still keeping the antique, historic feel. My husband is handicapped and uses a wheel chair and a mobility scooter. He had no trouble maneuvering into and around the first floor of the house and even accompanied our friends on a four mile nature walk from the house on his scooter. The Hendersonville area was just delightful. Downtown had many fun and interesting stores and wonderful restaurants. We shopped, hiked, visited wineries, and spent an afternoon at an apple orchard. There were wonderful galleries and a Blue Grass music concert downtown. It was nice for all of us to come back to the house and relax after a long day of activities. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening, telling stories, and even singing. The newly remodeled kitchen is amazing. There were two dishwashers! The fancy stove is nicer than any stove I ever used. One of our friends had to work part of the time and he used the dedicated office to escape all of our commotion. I will definitely be back to do more exploring in this beautiful part of the country. I am concocting a plan to have my extended family come together to celebrate the holidays at Bonnie Haven.

More than expected

"This is the third five-star accommodations review I’ve given in the last 10 years. The other two locations were in the Missouri Ozarks and in Telluride, Colorado. Far-western North Carolina has become my favorite destination to escape suburban life (not to mention the summer heat) in Houston, Texas. This was my sixth visit to the area with previous stays in Waynesville, Sylva, Cherokee, Asheville, and Hendersonville. Our stay was a weeklong gathering of five couples from across the country. The group allowed me to choose the town/city because of my knowledge of this part of the Carolinas. For me, our stay at Bonnie Haven was the unexpected highlight of the trip. Our group did most of the planned touristy-events and sightseeing that we had (loosely) “scheduled“, but we found ourselves spending much more time at Bonnie Haven than we planned. Although we anticipated eating out every night at the highest rated Hendersonville restaurants, we elected to “stay home“ and have two meals at the house. The apparently-remodeled kitchen/dining room/gathering space made for great camaraderie, visiting, and storytelling and it was particularly fun to watch the cooks in the group (not me) enjoy operating all the new appliances the owners have installed along with their major house renovation. I enjoyed the comings and goings of the three-hour (dis)organized breakfasts spontaneously prepared each day. Our planned breakfasts downtown did not materialize. My only kitchen complaint is that by having two dishwashers in the kitchen, I was constantly in trouble for placing dirty dishes in the “clean“ dishwasher and vice versa. It also would have been nice to know, before day three, that the water dispenser for the new refrigerator was located, not on the door, but inside the freezer. The 10 of us enjoyed a three-hour cool evening pow-wow around the fire pit located under the trees. A few of us spent the late afternoon in the hot tub. It would have been nice if all 10 of us could have been there. Patton Park, with its tennis courts, swimming pool, gazebo, soccer field, etc. is two blocks away and is connected to an extensive hiking trail which reaches three or four other parks. The guys in the group spent the early mornings exploring the trails. If I had known these trails were immediately accessible to Bonnie Haven I would have encouraged those that drove to Hendersonville to bring their bicycles. The women seemed to stay closer to home and meander through the eclectic neighborhood which, we learned from local walker "Jim" (who visited us on the front porch), was anchored by a small hospital (started by Dr. Patton of Patton Park fame) two blocks away (still standing-now condominiums). According to the visiting gentleman, many of the large homes in the neighborhood were built by doctors who served the hospital. Jim also told us that Bonnie Haven had been a dormitory for nurses at one time, which explained a couple of the pictures hanging in the house. We missed out on the fall colors but… been there, done that. It was a fantastic trip and stay. Our next Carolina trip will be anchored from Bonnie Haven. Lynn

Wonderful Experience

"My wife and I spent a week at Bonnie Haven with several other couples. We had a GREAT time. The house is well appointed and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable. The location was very convenient to downtown. We went to several downtown restaurants, rhythm and brews and enjoyed the local museums. Our hosts had nice treats awaiting us when we arrived. We will be back!

"This is a beautiful old house. It was currently being updated when we stayed. I would love to see it when it is fully finished. We had 17 people with us and there was plenty of room. Beds were comfortable. Wifi worked great for the kids. Close to restaurants and grocery store is like 5 minutes away. The house was clean. Only con was there was not enough pots to cook for a large crowd. Once they update the kitchen I am sure they would fix that problem. We had snow while we were there and it was just gorgeous. We enjoyed the fire pit in the snow. Every part of the house was used and we enjoyed ourselves.

Cozy but spacious

"We had brought a kids group home up to Hendersonville to go snow tubing. There were 17 of us. Ages from 9-69. We all had a great stay. The house was cozy but yet spacious. I loved the fact that some of the rooms had their own sitting area with TV's. The adults could get away to their own little retreat if needed. Kitchen was out dated but functional. The owners have a book telling you what is going to be updated and the plans look amazing. Very close to grocery stores, snowtubing, and parks to hike to waterfalls. Perfect location. The fireplace wouldn't light and a nice gentleman from the property management came out and got it working. The weekend was just relaxing and everything was great. Would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect Place

"We loved Bonnie Haven. It was the perfect place for our extended family of 12 to all stay under one roof, with plenty of room to spread out. We could have comfortably included two more couples and a few more teens. Communication with Yonder was excellent, and they exceeded expectations on a maintenance issue we called about during our stay. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Bonnie Haven

"A true gem! Staying here was the best decision we made on our trip. The property was huge and had so much character-Perfect fit for our group of family and friends. Everything was immaculately clean and the house had such a homey vibe-especially loved all the rocking chairs on the porch. The kitchen was a little dated but the property manager company let us know that it is being remodeled this winter and we will definitely be back here to stay if we find ourselves in Asheville after that. I also have to mention how the location (in Hendersonville) was extremely convenient easy to get to the airport as well as around Asheville.

The Best Weekend

"My husband and I along with some friends stayed at Bonnie Haven this past weekend, and it was such a pleasant weekend! The house feels rich with history, while still feeling bright and cheerful. It makes you imaginative of eras long past, while still feeling cozy and up to date. It's clean and well kept, and nestled in a very cute, quiet neighborhood. We spent long hours on the porch sitting in the rocking chairs. The house and the bathrooms are stocked well with amenities. The kitchen has all the supplies you would need to cook for a very large group. Given how spacious and grandiose the house is, Bonnie Haven would be absolutely PERFECT for a large gathering! It's in such close proximity to the cute walkable downtown of Hendersonville. It was the best weekend. We are sure to be back!
