What You Can Expect: Welcome to Wolf Ridge Retreat. This mountain cabin welcomes guests to all that the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer. Wolf Ridge Retreat is located in the gated & exclusive, upscale and private mountain community, Wolf Laurel, which affords immediate or nearby access to all mountain activities. As for Wolf Ridge Retreat; bask in the cabin-feel throughout, or relax and sip coffee as you take in the views, along with being able to watch wildlife from your private deck and outdoor areas. The home affords year round access, and is great for groups of any and all ages. The home is situated just outside of Mars Hill, NC, affording privacy for everyone to relax & enjoy the feel of the WNC mountains. Wolf Laurel is a private, exclusive community, whose residents are friendly and welcoming to guests, (if you even see them, since Wolf Laurel has private, densely wooded lots that afford amazing privacy).

Get ready to just unwind & relax in this contemporary mountain style retreat. With soaring vistas, high ceilings, vaulted rooms, and cozy spaces, you will immediately feel at home at Wolf Ridge Retreat. Neighborhood: Please note that the home is located in a very private, upscale, quiet and exclusive neighborhood. Parties, loud noise and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and their neighborhood. Quiet hours must be adhered to 7 days a week: 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM.

Pets: This home and property are dog-friendly, and guests are welcome to bring their furry friends. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $125 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party.

Home Truths: There is no air conditioning inside Wolf Ridge Retreat. The average summertime highs rarely exceed 75 degrees. The driveway is steep, so it's best to arrive in the daytime.

"We enjoyed our stay at the cabin on Wolf Laurel very much. There was plenty of space for our family to stretch out and the cabin was well equipped for what we needed. We all enjoyed the board games closet immensely during our stay. The first night we discovered a couple of fans were not working and the property manager was quick to respond and get that worked out. The only real issue we had was with the trash can not locking and a bear visited it multiple days. We didn't realize it was broken at 1st but when we did we communicated the issue. Would definitely recommend. Although the driveway is quite precarious to back in and out of so be careful of that.

Thanksgiving Gathering

"My husband and I , our children and grandchildren gathered for thanksgiving for the first time in years and your home was the perfect place for it. The accommodations were perfect , everyone had their own spaces. The main living area was large enough to accommodate 11people without feeling crowded. The only issue we had is that the fireplace was not operable. I personally thought they had enough time to repair it before our arrival since I was told in September that it was inoperable , they had more than 2 months to get it fixed. Other than that our stay there was great!

"The house is just gorgeous with amazing views! It was clean and very spacious. We loved the food truck near the club house. It worked great as a convenient Monday night dinner when we did not feel like cooking. The trails were amazing, especially Big Bald Mountain. We'll definitely be back...

"The home is beautiful and a perfect set up for my family. Driveway is very steep. Had to be home before dark, felt the roads were to dangerous to drive at night. Be advised this property does not have access to any amenities with the community.

"This house has a wonderful layout, with 4 bathrooms, connecting to the bedrooms. There were no condiments of any kind, including salt and pepper, so be sure to bring your own. The unpaved steep roads and driveway were a challenge.

Family Getaway!

"Our family get away was absolutely perfect. We were able to play games and also have our own spaces & bathrooms. The seclusion was just what we needed to come together for the first time since COVID from multiple states. The porch was stunning & our favorite part. We drank coffee and enjoyed the scenery each morning! We were able to see quite a few deer. The only part of the house that did not suit us too well was the smaller table in a smaller space. We made do and still had the time of our life.

"This location has a very secluded and peaceful atmosphere. The layout was very clean and spacious with a tasteful decor. Each guest was able to enjoy time in shared space, as well as their own privacy. Parking is a bit limited, but practical based on the location and landscaping. Overall, it was an amazing weekend experience. We all enjoyed it greatly.

Post-Christmas Getaway

"Had a fantastic post-Christmas getaway with my family and a few friends. Location was gorgeous and really convenient to Wolf Ridge Ski Resort which was the reason for our trip. The roads are mountainous and with the snow turned out to be a bit sketchy at times but we were told that we needed four-wheel drive and were glad that we listened or else we would not have been able to get to the property. If traveling during the winter, make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle. The house was well appointed, the only thing it did not have that we hoped it would was a coffee maker. It had a Keurig which worked because the pantry had some pods but the coffee we brought wouldn't have worked. We left more pods than we used so it all worked out okay. The beds were comfy, pillows were nice. Plenty of hot water. The kitchen was more well appointed than many other homes we've rented in the past. If you're looking for a semi-secluded, picturesque mountain getaway this will hit all of the marks.

"Beautiful location for our Thanksgiving gathering. House was spacious enough for 10 people to spread out, including energetic kids. Saw deer outside one morning. House had everything we needed for a thanksgiving holiday. Beautiful view, with nearby pleasant nature trail. Note: Directions were a bit confusing. We arrived after dark which I would not recommend. In the light of day, much easier to get around. A few steep, narrow roads but worth the drive. Also, TVs don't have regular cable/network channels, but you can login to your streaming services. Would definitely come back!

Mountain Escape

"The house is beautiful and spacious. The check-in process with security, as the house is in a gated community, was hassle-free. My suggestion is to use your GPS to get to Wolf Laurel Security, not the house address. Once you are through security, use the owners' written directions to get to the house. Do be cautious of the driveway at the house. It is very steep and graveled. If you have a larger vehicle, back down the driveway because there is little space to turn around. Lower vehicles can park at the top of the driveway. Overall, it was a peaceful and pleasant stay!

Plenty of Space to Spread Out

"It takes about 20 min to get from the main road up to the house but it is worth it. We loved sitting out on the porch listening to the afternoon showers, or watching the hummingbirds while we drank our morning coffee. There was plenty of space for all of our group to spread out. Visit the house before going to the store, there are a few basic things but you may need others.

"Just came back from an amazing get away at Wolf Ridge Retreat. What a spectacular and meticulously cared for home. The views are amazing and wildlife abundant. Great hiking spots just minutes from the house, including the Appalachian Trail! Kids had a blast picking wild blackberries while hiking and playing all the games in the evenings. My family had the best time at Wolf Ridge Retreat, we will definitely be back!

"Far exceeded any expectations we had. Located in a gated mountain resort community, you feel as if you have the mountain to yourself. Sitting on the side of the mountain overlooking the valley below, surrounded by the trees, you would never know there are other houses. When you walk into the house you are welcomed with a floor to ceiling view of the mountains in the family room, opening onto a huge 2nd story deck. I spent the majority of my time out there just listening to the forest. Once you take your eyes off the view, you realize just how big this house is. 5 full baths, an important feature for anyone traveling with families. 2 full master suites. The downstairs is massive! The kids immediately claimed it as their own "kid cave". Stocked with a smart TV, foosball, closet full of games, they were in heaven. Then my personal oasis, the loft upstairs. Cozy secluded bedroom with skylights and a private full bath. The decor fits perfectly, and the little touches like the closet full of games, smart TV's you can log into your accounts on, a WI, really make family time fun. The rental company is very attentive and helpful. This was a truly wonderful experience! We definitely will be returning!!

"We stayed at Wolf Mountain Retreat. Immaculate, spacious home with amazing views. Plenty of room for family to spread out, with games to keep the kids occupied. The views are spectacular, looking out on some of the tallest peaks in Western NC. We enjoyed a brisk morning and cool afternoon breeze, even in the middle of August. All of this, plus the close proximity to Asheville and its airport put Wolf Ridge Retreat at the top of our favorite vacation rentals.
