Private home tucked away at the end of a private road bordering the Pisgah National Forest, just outside of south Asheville and conveniently located to all of the area attractions with easy access to everything. Less than 10 10-minute drive to Biltmore Park Town Square, restaurants, shopping, and more. Many restaurants, bars, and such are 5 minute's drive. You are also approximately 15 minutes to downtown Asheville and the world-famous Biltmore Estate. Twenty minutes to the Asheville Airport and mere minutes from Bent Creek/The Arboretum and French Broad River access. The home is only accessed via state-maintained, paved roads. EASY access to everything in WNC.

With direct access to hiking trails, Wesley Creek, & nearby Bent Creek Park, and the French Broad River, Trails End Retreat offers an actual Blue Ridge Mountain experience. This contemporary home provides extraordinary, upscale craftsmanship, unique amenities, and custom details epitomizing relaxed luxury and majestic nature, highlighted by the backdrop of flowing streams, a virtual wooded estate, and creating your private paradise. Whether strolling along the rolling hills and winding paths of the Pisgah Forest and Bent Creek hiking trails, sipping coffee while watching the sun rise over the forest, or relaxing by the nearby streams & gentle rapids, guests will find peace and tranquility, coupled with invigoration and activities, in this incomparable mountain escape.

There are three mountain spring-fed streams and the French Broad River, all hikeable from the house.

Get ready to be "wowed" by this 1,500+ sq. ft. contemporary gem, with three private bedrooms and open common space. With soaring vistas, high ceilings, vaulted spaces, stone/tile, and hardwood floors, you will immediately feel at home in your private mountain escape. (That is, of course, if you can tear yourself away from all the outdoor activities near the home & soaking in the spectacle of the Blue Ridge Mountains, & venture inside!) The great room, with plenty of space to unwind and a gourmet kitchen, is where everyone will want to gather to enjoy their time together inside the house. Dogs are most welcome, too, so bring your best friends!

Kids love hiking or mountain biking to the streams, outdoor areas, and bonfire pit. The expansive patio is just off the Kitchen/Great Room (with plenty of seating and grill). Everyone enjoys the outdoor areas; you can pull up a chair and take in the "sound of silence", observe the night as it fills with stars, and watch the fireflies come out to play in your backyard. Take a seat and enjoy the sound of nature, the chirping birds, and the serenity in your private paradise at the top of the world.

You are just minutes from America's favorite scenic byway, The Blue Ridge Parkway, motorcycle touring, biking, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, Segway tour…just about any outdoor activity! Quiet Policy: The home/property is in a very private, quiet, and exclusive mountain locale. Parties, loud noise, and unruly behavior are prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peace this mountain retreat area affords.

Early check-in and/or Late check-out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

Pets: This home and property are very dog-friendly, and guests are welcome to bring their "best friends" with them. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $130, and there is a limit of 2 dogs per booking party.

Comfort with a Forest View

"We stayed at Trails End Retreat for a much needed quiet getaway. The beds were incredibly comfortable, even for someone who hates sleeping away from home. The home furnishings were also comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for us to prepare meals and enjoy quiet downtime. Please note and prepare for the possibility of no cell service. The WiFi was excellent though, and it was our main form of communication for phone calls. I can’t get over how gorgeous the forest was surrounding the main living area of the house. We did get to see some wildlife but kept our safe distance. It was close to neighbors but we didn’t have any issues. It was also convenient to grocery and other types of stores / restaurants but I love that you get the feeling of being tucked away in the forest when you’re in the house. I would not hesitate to book Trails End Retreat again!

Great Location

"We chose the house based on it's proximity (a trail in the backyard!) to Pisgah and Bent Creek. It was awesome to bike right out. The neighborhood also included a nearby playground and small pump track for bikes. The house was clean, and as advertised. The fire pit had two bundles of wood, the hot tub was clean and in good working order. The windows and open floor plan were really nice for creating that outside while inside feeling. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked (no baking trays, but there's never a guarantee when traveling). The furniture was comfortable, though the beds and pillows would benefit from an upgrade. They were still fine to sleep on. If I had a wishlist item to add, it would be a secure space to store bikes. We made do, but it would have been clutch to have had a small shed or covered space to lock them up. We'll definitely stay again if we come back to the area.

"This home was a wonderful retreat for two BFF couples. We LOVED this home, the owner spared no expense.....simple, clean architectural lines w/ a well-appointed interior decor. The ENTIRE Yonder Team employees were great.......very attentive and accommodating to our needs & concerns. I don't want to name anyone b/c I may miss acknowledging someone....just know that EVERYONE was great and we appreciate them!!! Unfortunately, there was a burn-band and we did not get to light the outdoor fire pit. We took the time to sit around the pit and imagined the added-value if there was not a burn band. The Trails Inn Retreat is definitely a property that we highly recommend & having the Yonder Team was GREAT! Thank You!!!

"Quiet, clean, and close to Asheville and excursions. Loved to start the day with a hike in the backyard and a jog through the nearby neighborhood, then end the day with a dip in the hot tub or snuggled around the fire. House was well stocked for all our needs. Management group was kind and quick to respond. We can't wait to return!

"Henry David Thoreau Our experience at Trails End Retreat offered us the perfect balance of quiet repose and accessibility to Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway and other surrounding areas. The gravel road leading to the house is unassuming but upon our arrival we were greeted by a home nestled against the Pisgah National Forest. A perfect combination of rustic and modern decor; the high ceilings, large windows and the sliding glass doors, allowed ample light to fill the shared living room and kitchen space. Furniture was comfortable and the kitchen provided everything we needed. The master bedroom was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. A small footstool would have made getting into bed much easier. The 2 sinks in the master bath were an added bonus but we particularly appreciated the non-slip tub/shower. The outdoor patio with propane grill and table were perfect for outdoor meals. On the backside of the house the large hot tub was a perfect way to end the day, as we unwound under the canopy of spruce and oak trees. The adjacent firepit (with some firewood) provided additional outdoor seating with the warm ambiance of a wood burning fire. (There are 2 more nice-sized bedrooms and a full bath, but we didn't use these rooms. The common space had plenty of table seating and sofas/chairs for 6 adults taking advantage of all three bedrooms.) The centralized location was close to shopping and we could get to almost everything we needed within 20 minutes. We look forward to a future visit to Asheville and would definitely stay here again. The folks at Yonder Rentals were especially helpful and friendly before and after booking, answering our questions, providing information, and helping us book with the advertised discount code that wasn't working on the web. We would definitely book with Yonder again even if Trails-End-Retreat was not available.

Wonderful Retreat Home

"We enjoyed the most tranquil stay at this clean and modern retreat of a vacation home. The views out of the expansive windows in the main room and kitchen were a lovely reminder that we were positioned right at forest’s edge and could enjoy the nature views at all times. We took advantage of the hot tub and fire pit frequently. We walked right off the back patio and onto the trail to hike and bike through the Bent Creek section of Pisgah National Preserve. It was glorious! The kitchen appliances are clean and modern and the bathrooms are sleek and well designed (especially appreciated the double sinks in both bathrooms). Easy access to groceries and pharmacies and all the major interstates (you can be in downtown Asheville in 15 minutes). Plenty of clean towels and linens are provided, and the wi-fi was strong and reliable. We highly recommend this NC getaway!

"We loved being next to the national forest. It felt secure and serene. The proximity to the NC Arboretum, hiking trails, Asheville, Biltmore and waterfalls was perfect for us . The house was perfect, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space, new appliances, and beautiful furnishings. We would definitely stay there again.

"House was great, well equipped, very quiet and comfortable. The trails behind the home were nice to get a quick walk in. Comfy bed in master bedroom. Super quiet, and the neighbor just below the house is super nice. He offered firewood to burn in the fire pit. We didn’t use the pit, but was a very nice gesture.

"Absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend renting this house. From the fire pit, trails on property leading straight to Pisgah, 10 minutes max to downtown Asheville, it was above and beyond what we were expecting. We even saw four black bears (from inside the house) wander through the back.
