Location: Private estate home located on 50+ extremely private acres of sweeping views, nature and serenity. A short 15 minutes to downtown Franklin, groceries, restaurants, breweries and more. You are only 30 minutes to Sylva, 40 minutes to Highlands, and 1 hour 20 minutes to downtown Asheville & The Biltmore Estate. The drive is 1 hour and 30 minutes to Asheville Regional airport, and 2 hours by car to Atlanta. This secluded home is easy to access via full paved roads. The home affords year round access to any and all vehicles.  Home is also accessible by helicopter (with express permission/planning) in conjunction with a municipal airport which can handle up to a Global Express.

Both grand and intimate, marvel your surroundings from the terrace in the best outdoor dream space overlooking your pool and 30 miles of long range mountain views. All of these afford additional outdoor space to relax & unwind. Quiet Policy: Please note that the home & estate property are located in a very private, quiet and exclusive farm/estate locale, and while extremely private, noise does carry across the valley. Parties, loud noise and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peace this mountain retreat area affords. (Events will have specific and detailed rules and allowances.)

Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

PETS: This rental is very dog friendly and guests are welcome to bring their "best friends" with them. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $255 with up to 2 dogs per booking party. Please inquire with our Guest Experience Team for details and final rates.

"The property was absolutely wonderful. We would visit again in a heartbeat. The only issue we had was with the lady bugs, which we understand are an unavoidable aspect of Carolina mountain living now. Management sent the cleaning crew out immediately to address. Its said that lady bugs are good luck, so make peace with it if you see them and enjoy your stay :)

"Our long weekend at Legacy Lodge was amazing! Our group of 25 thoroughly enjoyed all of the amenities of the home. The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil we needed. The porch off of the main level is amazing- a great place for your morning coffee. In fact, we ate all of our meals there. The home is absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views. Communication with management was efficient and timely. We would love to return for another stay next year!

"Such a cool experience to stay a week at this house! You can spend hours just staring at the architecture & timber frame construction. There is so much character. Not to mention it being carved into the side of a mountain! The sunsets are amazing, and the morning rolling fog in valley is really cool to see. The management company was very quick to respond and help with anything we needed. Looking forward to coming back!

"This vacation house is so beautiful. I stayed there with 28 other people and everyone fit. There was no possible way anyone could ever get bored. The kids were always in the playroom or in the pool/hot tub, the older kids were either playing pool or tanning. The adults were chilling by the pool or making plans to go somewhere nearby. This house was the dream for everyone, everyone had the time of their lives there!

"There were 19 of us--8 adults and 11 grandkids! We had a wonderful time in this beautiful place, and the setting was even better. The kids could swim during the warmer days, and the cool evenings began just at the cocktail hour! The extra large balcony was the best! We enjoyed many of the activities in the area--rafting down the Nantahala, horseback riding, golf (and absolutely breathtaking course), fly fishing, hikes, etc.--not to mention the kids' playroom, ping-pong, pool and poker tables. We also arranged for a local chef to prepare a wonderful dinner for us toward the end of the stay. We want to come back!

"The Legacy Lodge was amazing! The house is beautiful and spacious. We celebrated Thanksgiving there. The kitchen was very well stocked. There was plenty to do at the house for all ages. A huge playroom, ping pong, pool, darts, shuffleboard, and foosball. A nice fire pit for making s'mores and jacuzzi to relax in. There were also many trails right around the property. Antique shopping as well as grocery stores and restaurants very nearby. The check in process was perfect. We had no issues for our entire stay. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

"This is honestly the most amazing Lodge I have ever seen. The pictures don't even do it justice. What stood out to me was just the amount of amenities this place offers. You really don't even need to leave the property to have a weeks worth of entertainment. I was there with 6 other people and there were times I felt like I had the place to myself. It is that spread out. My favorite has to be the kids play room. It literally has a bounce house in the room. Incredible stay and incredible lodge. I highly recommend it for families or even corporate retreats.

"This home is absolutely remarkable. The architecture & custom finishes are astonishing. It is like having a luxury resort all to yourself. There are countless activities right there at the estate -- heated pool, hot tub, sauna, steam shower, billiards table, shuffleboard table, ping pong table, foosball table, poker/game table, dart board, a ridiculously fun kids game room with bounce house & ninja warrior obstacle course, plus 50+ acres of hiking trails right out the back door of the house. Just incredible. And it's only 10 minutes down the mountain into historic downtown Franklin. It's an amazing place for a family vacation or corporate retreat.
