Get ready to be amazed by the mountain views at Brackens View Retreat! Including over 2.5 acres, this newly built 4 bed, 4.5 bath custom home features a modern farmhouse feel. Venture just minutes to downtown Marshall to explore the unique shops and restaurants or only a short 30 minutes to downtown Asheville!

Upon entering, you we welcomed with an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings and brick gas fireplace. The spacious open kitchen includes a huge island with a breakfast bar, subway tile backsplash, farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances and equipped with everything you need for your stay. Smart tv’s and wifi is available through the house.

Featuring 4 bedrooms and a bunk room with 4 twin beds, there is plenty of space for up to 14 guests. A game room with air hockey, ping pong, pop-a-shot and more will keep you entertained if you can tear yourself away from the outdoors. Pets: Many of our guests have allergies so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction. If you have a pet we can recommend some alternatives nearby.

"The house is amazing. Very clean and we felt at home. The house was stay ready. My ONLY CONCERN was the driveway up to the house. Luckily I was in my Silverado truck. You will really need an All wheel drive(4wd) to make the ride up to the house. The driveway has an immediate incline. My parents actually got stuck troll to make it up the mountain. 😂😂 But overall besides the driveway the house was awesome and I would actually stay there again

"Our family stayed at the Brackens View Retreat and it was nothing short of amazing! The house is beautiful and has all the amenities you’d need. As far as needing AWD, I'd say that depends on the weather. It was super dry when we stayed so our Camrys went up just fine with a little bit of speed. If it had been raining then it may have been a challenge. We would definitely stay here again and hopefully Next time it will be for longer than a weekend so we can enjoy it more!

"We just wanted to start off by saying that the stay was amazing. Look no further. You won’t regret it. The description said you needed four wheel drive, but we were able to make it it in a two wheel SUV. It was so beautiful. The driveway made you feel that much more secluded. We were looking for a nice getaway with no kids and we found a lot of love here. Thank you so much!

"This is the 2nd time I have come to Brackens View. This time it was for a girls' trip and we had an amazing time. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances so it was easy to make breakfast and the view made for lovely leisurely and peaceful mornings and the couches were comfortable for late night conversations. The location was also easy to drive to downtown Asheville. I would easily love to come back again.

"Check-in was easy. I was worried about the road up to the property, but in the end wasn't a big deal; being steep and not well lit, we decided to get back every evening before dark. Worked out great, because we took advantage of the great kitchen and cooked terrific dinners every night. We really enjoyed the hot tub, and the kids loved making s’mores by the firepit every night. Property was beautifully decorated and everyone was comfortable in their rooms. Kids really enjoyed the board games available, as well as the game room. The location was perfect for us to explore Asheville and surrounding areas. Can’t wait to visit again.

"This was one of the best properties I have stayed at. The house was very clean and stocked with all the necessities. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, plates, etc. The hot tub was great and the views from the porch were great as well. The listing was accurate and the check in, check out info and directions from the host were helpful. I highly recommend this property and this host. I hope to be back for another vacation.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our couples' weekend at Brackens View Retreat. We loved the modern cottage décor and appreciated all the amenities included with the home: a thoughtful welcome gift, well-stocked kitchen, awesome new hot tub, stunning mountain views, fireplace, Belgian waffle maker, and coffee bar. We are already talking about coming back with the extended family. This location is a great base to explore both Asheville and Marshall.

"This mountainside retreat was amazing and beautiful. Spent an extended weekend there with some friends, and even though Hurricane Ian was passing by, there was plenty to do in the house. I enjoyed it very much and would 100% stay again and recommend to others as a place to stay near Asheville. Cow neighbors were cool too <3 Note: You need a AWD/4WD vehicle to get up the steep gravel slope to get to the house.

"Loved the morning views with the fog covering the landscapes. Lots to do both in the house and in the area, although we didn't really get to use the fire pit or hot tub because of the weather we got. There was more than enough space for the 7 in our group. Overall an excellent weekend stay! Would highly recommend!

"The views were spectacular, watching the fog roll off the mountain while having coffee in the morning was a major highlight. We had eight staying comfortably. Good beds, nice kitchen, fun garage. I’m definitely putting this house on a list of places I’d revisit with my family once my kids are old enough to appreciate it.

"Beautiful house with a host that has clearly paid attention to detail. This place has it all: comfort, aesthetics, refreshing views of the great outdoors, fun recreation room, beautiful and spacious kitchen (with fully stocked coffee bar), wonderful patio, cool campfire area and plenty of bedrooms! "We thoroughly loved our stay here! Beautifully remodeled home with lots of attention to detail. Gorgeous view! Home is very spacious with 3 bedrooms and a bonus loft area that has 4 twin beds and sofa bed. The garage is converted into a fun game room with air hockey, basketball hoop, ping pong table. This was the perfect place for our group gathering of 10 friends. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped. Backyard is open with a nice fire pit area overlooking the mountains. We will definitely be staying at Brackens View Retreat again!

"This was the perfect spot for a quick, weekend getaway! The weather could not have been better, and we loved the view from the patio. The house is beautifully decorated with so many amenities that made us feel pampered. We picked up takeout nearby for dinner and enjoyed delicious vegan smoothies the next day. Downtown Asheville is also an easy drive away, and we had a fabulous brunch there. We had no problems getting up and down the gravel drive at this time of year in our AWD Hyundai. I have also stayed here with kids, and they used the game room and firepit. My husband and I highly recommend it for couples, families, and more. There is something for everyone!

"We just came back from Brackens View Retreat near Asheville, N.C., and couldn't have been happier with the experience. There is a steep incline to get to the house on a gravel road as it was at the top of the mountain, but if you have a good car, it should be no problem. Beautiful views, spacious housing, beautiful bedding and the owner leaves great housewarming gifts. If you need a rental in Asheville, NC, go to this place.

"Great location! Brackens View Retreat was only 30 minutes from downtown Asheville and Biltmore village, 10 min from Mars Hill and Marshall, which were both cute little towns. The house is situated at the top of mountain, amazing views and super quiet. The drive the private road was pretty steep, but we were able to make it up in only a 2 wheel drive. We stayed here with 4 adults and 4 teens, plenty of room. The upstairs space had 4 twin beds and sofa bed, perfect for the kiddo’s. It was the perfect place for a group gathering, the kitchen was large and spacious. We grilled in the backyard, and got use the front and back porch to watch the sunset. We will definitely be staying at Brackens View Retreat again!

"We just returned from Brackens View Retreat just outside of Asheville, N.C., and couldn't have been happier with the experience. There is a steep incline to get to the house on a gravel road as it was at the top of the mountain, but my Toyota Camry was able to do it- just be careful driving up. When you get to the house, you will be amazed at the view. It's breathtaking. I took so many pictures! The location is perfect, being just 30 minutes from downtown Asheville, with other quaint cities nearby. And if you don't feel like going out, the house has a ping pong table, air hockey, pop a shot machine, and plenty of board games. It also had a place for a campfire in the backyard stocked with firewood. The house itself accommodated 5 couples comfortably. The kitchen was fully stocked with a toaster oven, waffle maker, a nice set of pots and pans, and a Keurig machine. The house is new and the decor had a modern rustic feel. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come here again.

“A real NC mountain experience!”

"Brackens Retreat View - We had the fantastic experience of staying at Brackens View Retreat in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina last week. The modern farmhouse built in a high meadow 25 minutes north of downtown Asheville gave us the experience of really being "in the mountains." We loved our visits to downtown Asheville and the restaurants and art galleries there. Mt. Mitchell State Park and Craggy Gardens on the Blue Ridge Parkway are easily accessed from the Retreat in less than one hour. Wolf Laurel Ski Resort is less than 30 minutes away. We want to come back in the summer and enjoy Whitewater Rafting on the French Broad River only 15 minutes from the retreat. We also visited the delightful town of Burnsville, NC, in Yancey County with unique restaurants and arts and crafts stores. The home offers spectacular views of the Madison County mountains and we even had deer visit us in the mornings. The back porch on the east side is made for coffee in the sun in the morning and a nap in the shade in the afternoon. Originally from the NC mountains, my wife and I can say that "this place offers a "real" NC mountain experience!" We will be back!
